Great review! I definitely agree with your critical stance on David Walker - he could've just been a mute protagonist similar to Strike Commander Triumphant in Redcon but instead he just says basic phrases like "die" and "okay". It's a real shame, since this game is based off of the lore of Radiant Defense, which had great character chemistry between all major characters and great humor. I understand the tone for FLT is grittier but they could have given him more meaningful lines, and they did make an exception for Yoyo Vega in the humor department. Currently, Hexage is testing tank powers, which are special traits given to each tank that helps distinguish them from similar tanks in their class (Interceptor and Sturmengel look and act similar but one gives extra money on victory depending on difficulty and the other decreases the reload speed of your weapons), which helps give more of an incentive to try out tanks after inevitably dying. Some still need tweaking but the polished game is expected to release soon this year, and regardless I must say I had lots of fun with the game.

To be honest, I like it because so much of it is possible. The engineering, the design, and even the way it looks, just looks so possible. Like something we can achieve (sick ass music too). Also, DARPA is real.

I am surprised this game is also being released on mobile to be honest, there are a lot of controls for a touchscreen.
