    That is nuts. Given how narrow the roads are here in the UK, you would have to drive it over cars to get down them.. which that would probably do no problem.

    You just gotta chain the tire down and then wrap another chain around the run flat and use the car lift to pull it out. I used a engine lift. It works on newer tires but ours were old and the rim was rusted to rubber on the run flat so getting the rim out was way harder then the run flat was. It bent the hydraulic ram :D first time I ever seen that happen

    Be ready to upgrade running gear and engine. Needs more.torqie to turn those big 53s , stock dinky little Axel's will snap and break up soon enough. We had same problem with our 53 s on dads mud truck. Allways wise.to start build by overbuilt running gear to support those tires and an engine that can provide over 400 hp to spin them 53s. Also a transmission that can handle the power as well. Big wheels mean big money on running gear ect ect. Money pit if off roading. Enjoy they journey. We did these type of builds in the 90s and up till 2010. Awesome fun. Thanks for share

      I don't, Wylie. I'm located in Southern Oregon outside of Medford. I got a friend that lives out in Homedale and said he has got a ton of snow off the last storm. How are things looking over in Kimberly?

      The ones that came off the wheels were shot. There was one good one out of the bunch but I told the shop they could have it. I would love to see your bronco with them on it.

    Are you seriously checking clearance while it's raised in the air by the frame?

    • @PaperBeatsRock
      @PaperBeatsRock  2 роки тому +1

      The drag of the tires on the ground was too much for the steering when doing full turn side by side stationery. So We lifted it just enough and put a floor jack under the front axle and jacked it up until it lifted it just enough that the front was off the lift arms. This is placing all the weight of the truck on the front axle. It's not perfect but it worked.

    why not 49" Iroks or Mickey T's ?

    • @PaperBeatsRock
      @PaperBeatsRock  2 роки тому

      Because of cost. 8 of these tires only cost me $1,500. That is almost the same as just one 49" Irok or Mickey.
