Cheers buddy. Hope you are doing well. Miss the fun we had at the shoots. Never know I might make it back across for some.😁

    Hello!
Today I have a recurve bow for Barebow 68" 34#, Dyneema string (18 strands) and using ACCMOS brand arrows, 4.2mm with 100gn tips, Bohning ICE vanes. I always thought like that... I am not sponsored and I don't think I need to spend that much to be happy!
I practice shooting indoors at 18m and outdoors at 50m
I'm thinking heavily about switching from the current 4..2mm ID to 3.2mm shafts (Arrow Carbon Accmos 40T ID 3.2mm) and would like to know:
    - what difference do you think I will feel using a thinner shaft?
    - Do I continue with the vanes I use today or do I switch to Spin Vanes?
    - And to not want to change to a thicker shaft, you think I'd better use lighter tips for shots at 50m (90-100gn) and heavier (120-150gn) for shots at 18m (I've read somewhere that heavy tips help in accuracy to 18m)?
Hugs and congratulations for the channel!

Hi Christian. I would definitely try the 3.2mm both indoors and outdoors. I use 140gr points, but will change if I have to when tuning the arrow to the bow. I find they shoot really well out of the bow. Spend some time setting them up (length, point weight, and button tension ) and see how they go. Also shoot which vanes you are most confident with. You could buy some spin vanes to see how they fly but if you watch Archery Supplies on you tube, he has used both and found very little difference. My choice would be spin vanes as that is what i like and they are easy to replace if damaged. Have fun testing and thanks for watching.

I shoot with Accmos carbon arrows, ID at 4.2 and 3.2. They perform really well for the price, I don't shoot competitive so they are more than good enough for hobby target shooting. Well worth checking out for those who wants inexpensive but good arrows that wont break the bank whenever you destroy an arrow.

I reckon they are made in the same factory in China as my skylon or any Chinese arrows and just have a different decal painted on.

@@brookvalleylife724 After digging a little, I think Accmos are made by Pandarus, just different branding. Seems Pandarus makes most arrows out of China that are decent quality. They're really good for the money, and more than good enough for recreational hobby shooting. They would probably even do well in competition, but I would probably invest in the best name brand arrows for pro level competitions

@Skauber I think you won't see them at a high level as most if not all top level archers get sponsored. Chinese companies don't seem to sponsor anyone.

Yep, Victory arrows are very good, but have been going up lately. Just about to get some 3.2mm arrows from NIK'A to test. Not being sold yet :)
