- After shooting personal bests and winning the latest two competitions with the Pandarus CA320 arrows. I decide it is time to wind up the poundage on the recuve bow and try some Skylon Paragon arrows.
We look at the issues with changing poundage and arrows. We bare shaft tune the Skylon Paragon arrows.

I’m a compound shooter but I’d watch you review rocks.
Go on Steve... Do it!!
Allways love watching your reviews
· I interpret that chart to mean
4 TURNS OF VARIATION
( between 12 turns in as a min.
to 16 turns in as the max. )
15:39 seam the new arrows shafts are slightly stiff (bareshafts left of fletched), (right hand archer) . Bareshafts are grouping porly also horizontal movement. There can also be problem with anchor point that can cause this horizontal spread also, but in your case its not. But for most beginners you see a arrow spray from left to right with anchor issues.
At 40m you will miss the target with this setup. I guess you first need to resolv proper nockingpoint (elevation). Then move on to half turn on limbbolts to weaken the arrows(to fix horizontal movement). Then tiny adjustment on arrowrest and plunger for finetune at 30m or more.
How you fletched the paragon/AAE hybrid ? Straight ? Offset ?
can you post a sit to buy these arrows been on the skyline sit but don't show anyway to buy these?
when ive bought second hand bows off of top shooters the rests tend to be glued on rather than 3m, they haven't failed in heat on me like tape stuck rests
r u going to stock the panduras arrows
Thats pretty awsome.
I have a wood bow raiser can I shoot wood arrows
Why SHOULDN'T you? As long as they are SPINED right to the bow weight, the Grain Pattern on the shafts could be vertical/horizontal to your eye. Arrows are bent Left to Right as it's sent. Access forums for this question. Safe Memorial Day citizen.
Yes, the riser material doesn't affect which materials your arrows can be made from.
Wooden arrows aren't very economical, and aren't anywhere near as straight as carbon or aluminum (and they're a hassle in other ways - eg points etc)
But do what suits you.
Carbon arrow has built-in safety monitor for when the arrow is damaged somehow by impact. Tap the shaft LIGHTLY against a hard corner/surface. The FRACTURE will reveal itself as a buzzing. I'd mainly used large diameter aluminum shafts but the 4 I'd purchased before a Elk hunt Sure shot sweet. Uncut. Full Length shafts hit inside a quarter piece. Time and Time again. Nice
You should try x10 I know the price is crazy but just se if there any good all top shooters use them
I'm not sure if you are joking or not. But here is the reality. X10 gives forgiveness for slightly bad shots. So if 6 out of thirty arrows end up in 8 point and not 10 point. X10 can have some forgiveness and they end up in 9 point ring instead. So you wont drop 12 points from full score. Instead its maybe just 6 points drop . At highest level that has a huge impact if you win the olympic medal or not. For average archer its not a valid argument spending thousands of $ on arrows.
They are good, but I get better results with the slightly less expensive ACEs, but they are fragile!
Usually tied in nocking points can be adjusted. With a little effort normally they can be rotated on the serving to raise or lower them.
Check your tiller, been there myself. It wasn't by much, but it made a huge difference. It didn't charge my nocking point at all.
