This is a great trick! But, as a matter of safety, I would do this outside. If something goes wrong, it will go really wrong.

I just got a brand new ego, leaf blower and my battery will not accept charge. What would you recommend to do? I have thought about taking it back to the store.

I would take the battery back to the store

Call EGO and they will send you a new battery and tell you to dispose of the old battery. Then do this fix to your old battery.
