Well said Jermaine! Tell it like it is! Love’m or hate’m, ARod had a beautiful swing. The man could swing it! Like Ted Williams would say, “if it looks good, chances are it plays good”. ARod had perfect balance, a strong top hand and was as productive as any hitter in the history of the game. And without exaggerating his launch angle / bat path. With Joe’s swing, I have found that many kids are instructed that squishing the bug or sitting back to hit is detrimental to a productive swing. They are instructed to move forward into their swing. More linear than rotational. And there goes their base & balance. Anytime the head moves forward, it not only speeds the pitch, but also affects the hand eye coordination. Another words, it’s the way your central nervous system sees and reacts to the ball. When the head moves, it effects the batter’s reaction time 6-8 mph! It’s like hitting in a boat... good luck trying. Jermaine, you touched on quite a bit of hitting absolutes in this video. Once again Awesome stuff! Kids should jump on your advice & instruction!

My 12 year old has been hitting the ball consistently for the first time In a while but most of his hits are grounders and fly balls. If I sent you a video of him would you be able to give a few pointers to help him
