The stupidest scenario with the stupidest achievement ever... Like what the hell was that? I mean the idea of election and gaining support through quests sounds interesting and fun, but the execution was absolutely horrible especially alongside the achievement. Timer says 1 in-game hour, real time says approximately 3 hours, because guess what, I had to pause constantly (basically played on paused more than unpaused like correspondence chess or something) or even reload once in a while, crazy stuff under continual time pressure with heavily limited resources, absolutely hate this mission. That said, thank you for the playthrough man, couldn't do it without you, thanks a lot, you're a legend!!!
Hate it but have to get it ??? Why trouble yourself achievement grinding? If you feel depressed, try it another time, plan things, or just choose Casual mode next time.
@@Pilgrim_HYR it's actually not that hard if you know what to do. even in hard mode. just invest in fishing ships for max. gold income and "repair acropolis" asap. rest is pretty easy then.
Did you ignore the spartan camps on purpose to make it even more challenging? Impressive that you did it on 2.0, one of the hardest achievements for sure. Had to pause a couple of times to get it right in the beginning.
No because it is unnecessary, tedious and very costly to do, you need a decently large land army to kill all 4 of them. Without monks to heal and the Spartans army being higher techs, and them roaming outside the walls, I honestly don't think it's ever worth it to invest on killing the commanders, like, at all.
@@Tei I thought it was fairly doable, with some kiting of course. Did it with the reinforcement units for the other cities, had to produce a couple more than 20 as i had some losses. I also reused the trebuchet to get rid of the towers which made it a bit easier. But sure, when you get the timings right like you did you can skip it. I am unfortunately a terrible completionist.
i did like you and i finished achievement :) before i saw your i tried to spam trade ships between my and yellow port i didnt know its side mission to finish purple :) now i have 298/301 achievement remaining Age of Empires i think its bugged i cant complete since they created dlc Mountain Royals Masterpiece Leader of Men from Chronicles: Battle for Greece
On standard political favor decays a lot slower so even if there's an option you don't want to sell your estate in the opening anyway, your first move should be naval raid fleet and repairing acropolis. In addition, prosecuting Cleon costs half as much so you have the chance to grab that one earlier.
@@AnthonyAvon You should have enough gold for Acropolis repair before your favor drops below 50 on Standard since you start with Caravan and ship speed researched. I have tested it myself.

I purchase everything in the wonder and just haven't defeat sparta camp and still failed at last.

I have exactly the same feeling. I used to be a perfectionist chasing 100% achievements. But not anymore with such stupid design.

Yo have to play this on hard.? On standard there is no "Sell Estate" option in the Acropolis, making it impossible to stay above 50.

@@Tei I click on the raid immediately but long before the ships come back, the favor is below 50. So focus on gathering gold to click the repair?
