- Job started and i show u my idea how to extend shaft for hoverboard wheel for easy mounting in front of my electric scooter, as u can see the bolt screws in but not perfectly straight but i dont care as the shaft is not moving at all :) In next video will show u how i mount the wheel to scooter. Thanks for watching :)

When i saw the name of this video I was expecting to see a new shaft turned on a lathe pressing the single sided shaft out and pressing the new one in... Instead I saw something I didn't expect at all, a kitten ! well done. Without a shop full of tools you did a good job breaking every rule in the book and accomplishing your mission. well done.
Thank you 😊
I've spent ages thinking about how to do this and this looks like the perfect solution. Those motors are cheap and plentiful on the secondhand market, but having a shaft on only one side really limits what can be done with them from a hobbyist perspective. I think I'll machine a shaft properly, but use your technique to screw it onto the motor. Thanks for the great tip!
Happy that was helpful my idea
when tapping a threaded hole turn tap back 1/4 turn for every 1/2 turn forwards to clear swarf, its a lot easier!
Now that's good advice :)
i thought this was basic knowledge, we learn it in schools
I was going to complain about you rough machining practices, but then I saw the kitten!
Thank you for posting this I’ve been looking how to do this
Rohan Sharma your welcome :)
Love the kitten!
Oh and great job/instructional.
When you tap a hole you want to turn back a quarter of a turn for every full rotation, it breaks the chip off and stops it jamming up, also lowers risk you will break the tap off in the hole :)
nickcoakley thanks for ur advice 👌
nickcoakley also you're holding the vise grip all wrong
Genius i allredy brought these wheels not realize the didn't have rods on both sides now that i know what to do ive already ordered a nut and bolt threader thanks for the vid
Kael King ur welcome 👌
Thanks cat for your effort
Such a hard working Kitty. Shame the guy does not do enough and let the Kitty do all the work.
Yeaaahhhh shame on me 😹
perfect work
A stepped drill bitnsould have helped a lot for ya btw.. but thanks for sharing this, I was scratching my head on this..but I hadn't opened the motor yet.
Awesome simplicity
Nice ..... i see the cat is very cute 😍
good deep house bro!
Hi, is it possible to weld four bolts outside of hoverboard wheels to mount big wheels.
goob job in home,Kitty good helper!
So cute cat
Amazing.... that it (sort of) worked :D
Super!
Wouldn't it have been smarter to tap with the motor unassembled so you aren't leaving swarf inside the motor?
Working with a bench vice would make things a lot easier :) And having a bench drill would really make things even easier .. even though I presently have neither .. just saying :D
nice, i did the same, but with a 10´´ Hoverboard motor. i have made a small motorcycle out of it xD
What battery do you use and what is the speeds
@@lbabacar8653 We have a Video of the complete built up. It runns 25km/h! :D
M'encanta el gat.

Hahahahahahaha. I started actually lolling when I saw that kitty.😄🤣😂😅. 👍
so what did you make with the double sided shaft?
Check my other videos
Hey mrcop did you ever get both connected I'd not theres loads off skateboard esc dual motor contollers
Ben Gough yes i done it with 2 controllers
Using the right size drill bit would help
😂 STFU always a idiot in the back row 😂

i dont know what are u writing :)
You can translate it
yahia mgrabe if u can write in english so just do it easy :)
MrCop you are artist
طيب ليش سوى هيك !! شو الفايدة وشو بدو يعمل فيه
Dude....Just use Bench Vise and use oil when treading . Its much easier :)
what size tread and tap did you use for wheel?
M8
Ставим лайк котику😂👍
What size drill bit
one of the simplest way to weaken the motor's axle.
from a solid axle to hollow.
will break very soon.
Which screw size did you apply as extension? M6? M8? M10?
Thanks
M10
@@MrCopcreator how much deep did you go inside?
I mean, it works! Next time spend $5 at harbor freight and get yourself a stepped drill bit 🙂
Did you cut a threading into the hole you drilled?
Yes
Can anyone help me make a hoverboard wheelchair San Diego California
Well, That one way to do it! Hows it holding up over time?
It was holding up okey, the scooter broke 1st, wheels still ok

MrCop nice job
Md Musa thanks man :)
MrCop welcome
oh dear
could you get away with just putting the bolt into the wheel and running it through a bearing on what its getting bolted to?
Better do it my way
Cat❤🤣
Tell me you're not sure how to use vise grips without telling me that you're not sure how to use vise grips
Gato
Cat was the best part, the rest was pure awful to watch, lack of drill bit sizes, taps thread inside a magnetic motor hub (shards all over).
Mounting a shaft is very easy even at home:
1. drill hole in center of stub end for centering
2. Drill hole into center of your new extension
3. Thread the two pieces into each other
4. Grind a small channel at the joint section
5. Weld a solid circle all around
6. Shave the excess weld for a smooth shaft transition
All of the above are done OUTSIDE OF THE HUB, clean everything off then re-assemble.
At the end of the day if you have a free hoverboard motor maybe its worth doing this, otherwise the scooter motors with shaft on both sides are 60-80$ on ali express.
Thanks you for ur inspiring amazing comment
The way you do it is so unprofessional... Better is to weld a part instead of making hole for bolt, but... not everyone can weld. The way you done it can be done in home, without magic tools. And... the way it's shown can be improved a lot, but... it's a good one. So thank you for this job.
And... this kitten... I didn't see what you are doing, I was looking at him ;)
I see your cat do most of the work here
Hahaha u are right, she still helping me when i doing something with tools 😁
Should be called how to make a big hole with a small drill bit.
Wow u are so smart of thinking names for videos 👌
@@MrCopcreator fuck the police
Mole grips lol showhim how to use
Nice Idea but please first watch tutorials on how to use vise grips and how to make thread. My eyes still hurt :)
Beware my kitty eats wires

Is there some un written law that says people have to use the most Obnoxious Music Possible ?
Have u heard about taste? If u don't like it its ur own problem. U have option to mute the sound?
I don't see the point of doing this
U need more imagination or u can watch my other video and u will see the point of doing this.
Just don't try this with out the correct tools
ruin the tools you use
My tools my rules 🤗
Great way to destroy your kids hoverbd
You don't know the proper way to use the "Tap"
Paquito Lim So u have to teach me then 🤔
