I like how his spider sense was discovered in this version. Spiders sense their surroundings and sense other creatures nearby via vibrations sensitive hairs that’s attached all over their bodies and their limbs.
That easily explains his senses, but his "Spidey-Sense" has famously bordered on precognition (his "sense" is going off just because there's a dude that wants to throw a knife at him in the room, person doesn't just need to be winding up to throw the knife to make it go off, but there will be a spike in "sense" between "ok, there is danger here," and *"OK,* danger starts now!!!") I really like the thought behind Spider-Man being a herald to Madame Webb, much like Silver Surfer was the chosen herald of Galactus. Yes, Peter got powers from the bite, but he _survives_ the bite in the first place because of Madame Webb, and his "Spidey-sense" is another of her gifts to him, as her agent/protector of the web-like multiverse, and her place as the caretaker of it (not imposing order, but structure, so it doesn't collapse on itself. Yeah. I could imagine that having Spider-Man's powers would be cool, but at first...trying to control your powers would be a huge pain. I could just imagine accidentally destroying things like this Peter did with the huge amount of strength you'd suddenly have. Also, you'd have to control your temper too. You know how at times you can find yourself angry and you just slam a door shut, or throw something to the ground/across the room? Imagine doing that with this strength...you'd send the door flying, along with the wall around the door probably, or destroy the thing you threw, likely causing some damage to the wall or ground you threw it at. I'd hate to have that angry kind of moment when your strength is this strong. The part of Spider-Man's powers I'd love to have most is the Spider Sense. Just knowing that something bad is about to happen, the direction it's coming from, and how to act to avoid/prevent it would be cool. The down side to that ability would be like that one moment in one of Tom's movies when he is in his house with several villains around him. Having the warning 1-2 minutes before it happens and you have that major feeling of anxiety...ugh. The strength would be the scariest part, because of how careful you'd have to be with everything. You wouldn't want to act out in any kind of anger because you'd easily destroy something or kill someone with no real effort.
Spiderman can lift 10s of tons I believe, at least. You would think that having that much disproportional strength would make you just crush most normal objects you touch, yet almost zero comics characters have this problem. I like how they show what would actually happen.
Most comics characters tend to be depicted some time after they've learned to handle normal objects. The DCAU had a great line about it from Superman -- "I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard." And when Otto Octavius took over Peter's body as "The Superior Spider-Man," he discovered just how much Peter holds back.
Humans already are capable of immense strength. The problem isn't getting the strength, it's adjusting to it. Humans have the power to snap the neck of small animals with relative ease - humans still pet cats daily. The adjustment of power output is so ingrained in us that babies do it. It is only adjusting to it and that can take as little as one attempt.
when Peter climbed a wall for the first time in the comics, he ended up accidentally crushing one of those weird metal rod things that roofs have by grabbing it with his bare hands. i think thats how peter learned that "ah okay, gotta calm it with my strength"

Honestly the scene where Peter is sitting in his bed with the toothbrush and handle and is all uncomfortable would actually be so accurate.its not easy when your DNA is being rewritten to be like a spider.😂😂😂
The train scene is one of the best live action showcases of Peter's Spider sense and how powerful it is, next to when he had his soul removed in No Way Home. It's not as simple as an alarm that warns him about danger. It's basically Ultra Instinct. It lets his body react instinctively to danger without thinking.
Andrew's Peter was the best when it came to being the shy awkward science need who can't defend himself or talk to girls I mean look at the I'm sorry when he kicks him to the ground. Like yeah he's confused and terrified but he's still like omg imma get in trouble not omg that was awesome
Seeing how Pete discovered his spider powers was always amazing especially how he caught that fly was sick wow especially after he had a crazy appetite of a spider I was like wow even before he accidentally knocked those guys down on the subway then begun to picture weird side effects from that spider bite.I was surprised it wasn't radioactive maybe the bug was exposed to radiation before the symptoms in his blood occurred I think. After he talk to curt about his parent's disappearances after his scientific work was asto astonishing I loved how the experiments went really it amazed me for real.
I don't like comparing Spider-Men, because all three of them are great in their own ways. But I will. Tobey's scenes where he discovers his powers are fun and timeless, but I prefer Andrew's portrayal of becoming Spider-Man. I'm not saying all Spider-Men need to go through horror episodes when their powers kick in, but I feel like the stuff Andrew went through is how the majority of us would feel if we discovered we had them. Tobey becoming Spidey is accurate to how things would play out in a comic book, whereas Andrew's performance is more accurate to real life. And things work for them that way because their differing personas support their respective portrayals.
Can't understand why people didn't like this movie, comparing to everything right now this is so good. I feel like nowadays everything is focused on marketing and social media. You can tell that the people that worked on this cared, had passion and did their research
I gotta say, rewatching these clips now, I finally see the pure _ecstatsy_ of playing Spiderman flash across Andrew Garfield's face every time he does anything - this film, despite the mediocre sequel, was *really really good* at portraying Spider-Man
I really thought that they were gonna continue this franchise by making TASM 3, I was so sad and disappointed in Sony after cancelled the whole thing. My guy Andrew really loved portraying Peter Parker and I couldn't believe they decided to just threw whole thing away.
They might continue it now since there is gonna be another Spiderman movie without Tom Holland because "No Way Home" was a hit. Though I like Tom's spiderman best.
Curt Connery is just an extraordinary character, man, I love, absolutely love Rhys’ portrayal and how Mark Webb wrote him here. He just seems so tangible, so like-able, and imperfect, like all of us. He, to me, feels like a genuine person that I’ve imagined walking by and next to atop a sidewalk in NY. If all or most of the deleted scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man were complete (with the vfx, cgi, etc) and all of the extra scenes shot with or of Conners and the Lizard, mainly if not only conners though, he might potentially be my favorite “villain” out of all the ones we’ve seen in live action.
to me this is intresting to see the day after, when he acts normal like he always has in the morning routine, but due to his new powers everything obviously breaks, so he needs to activly focus to only use like 5% of what would usually be enough to open a door and not tear it off the wall
Not enough credit given to dropping the plastic container and just calmly catching it with his elbow. The casual "... I got it." when May flinched to catch it.
After all of these years and the many times that I’ve seen this movie, it only just occurred to me that he was tempted to EAT that fly because he was starving and he’s part spider now 🤦🏾♀️ 😂

"Not nerdy".. I think its even make more sense u know.. spiderman with his agility, fighting skills, flexibility, his antics, his desire to look cool and his intelligence..
I mean there's no way a nerdy who has great strength suddenly can do acrobatics, fighting skills, and other nonsense, while all he did before was just reading a book and ejaculating while imagining his crush.
I mean it won't change his personality, its not venom.. It just gives him great power. he would just be a nerd with great strength and meager fighting skills.
@@rebelk8985 bro being nerdy isn’t about the looks, it’s about the confidence.

Best spiderman. Not Peter.
Best peter is Tobey.
I love the process of not just learning his powers but learning to be careful because in his mind he's still a normal guy
The world was not just prepared about his portrayal that time
He needs to be credited for his amazing performance! Favorite spiderman movie ever he is so damn free
2:05 At this moment, his spider instinct told him to "EAT IT"
"It's tasty Peter~"
Andrew's Peter was the best when it came to being the shy awkward science need who can't defend himself or talk to girls I mean look at the I'm sorry when he kicks him to the ground. Like yeah he's confused and terrified but he's still like omg imma get in trouble not omg that was awesome
And toby was the foolish spidey right

He won the battle but lost his board and boards cost money. His devastation is REAL

This one was the most realistic and fair representation of the original comics.
I like how his grip suddenly changes at 7:08
Seeing how Pete discovered his spider powers was always amazing especially how he caught that fly was sick wow especially after he had a crazy appetite of a spider I was like wow even before he accidentally knocked those guys down on the subway then begun to picture weird side effects from that spider bite.I was surprised it wasn't radioactive maybe the bug was exposed to radiation before the symptoms in his blood occurred I think. After he talk to curt about his parent's disappearances after his scientific work was asto astonishing I loved how the experiments went really it amazed me for real.

The toothpaste shooting out the tube makes the exact same sound effect as Tobey's Spider-Man when he slings webs
omg so accurate
Yeah that's what I thought.
The most unrelatable part of this is him using bing.
I remember using bing, and dogpile, and ask Jeeves....then suddenly google started working best...
Best showing of trying to feel out his powers. Best iteration of spiderman yet. Love Tobey but this is a more accurate spiderman... it just is.
Can't understand why people didn't like this movie, comparing to everything right now this is so good. I feel like nowadays everything is focused on marketing and social media. You can tell that the people that worked on this cared, had passion and did their research

I know Tobey Maguire is the OG Spider-Man, but Andrew Garfield is by far the best Spider-Man. He’s hilarious.
It’s funny how he didn’t feel when the bottle was kept on his forehead but got all super excited with the tingle because of the drop of water.
