@Jayzfocus26 not true in the movie Harry just kinda knows everything about spiderman for some reason but they don't really show him figuring it out so it makes it seem like he's just guessing and give him no empathy from the audience. In this he's figured everything out, he's piecing it together with Peter and wondering about why this, why that. When he has his nervous breakdown about not getting spidermans blood we would almost be on his side other than the fact that they should test it. The audience would feel way more empathy for him.
@@infinity_sh4816 Yeah exactly, if they just made the storyline better, and kept more stuff in that were necessary, and got rid of the trash stuff, this could've been a good film.

this interpretation of Harry is kinda my favorite. the rich, problematic boy with father issues but also smart and has the same type of dynamic as the Andrew's peter.
Same! I think he was actually written very well and that the actor was spot on. I really wish we got to see where his story went as it was really intriguing.
The scene where harry is sitting down and Peter is standing up shows that perfectly, I wonder if that was intentional. The camera got the shot right in the middle of them Harry is dying and hes sitting down. Peter is thriving (comparatively ofc lol) and he’s standing. One has a future, one doesn’t but they both are very similar. Maybe I’m teaching but I felt that when watching the scene the parallel! That’s the fuckin word I’m looking for thr parallel between the two 😂
They should have kept this scene in, built up Harry and Peter's relationship and saved Harry's transformation into the Green Goblin for the next movie. It would have made Harry's ultimate betrayal much more impactful. Harry's character arc and Gwen's death felt rushed in the final film
Studio executives aren't known for being patient. If they did a Spider-man series of movies the way they did the Harry Potter movies it could be incredible.
Tbh, Tobey Maguire Spider-Man 3 had the same problem, they tried cramming in too much villains without the proper build up. Not to mention Raimis didn’t even want to include Venom as he didn’t understand the character but the Studio forced his hand.
This scene is so much better than the way they finally did it. Harry just assumes Spider-Man can "self-heal" in the final edit without having any proof of that - he just says that Spidey can do "anything a spider can". The Goblin suit reveal also makes his final transformation a lot more believable. And they even tried to set up Black Cat. What the hell, Sony?
Not Sony but comic book fans hated the amazing series. I think only a few of us actually enjoyed them now everybody is saying they loved tje series since no way home
Yes, regardless what people think of the film this scene had some key plot points that explained a lot of Harry's actions later. They could have taken a couple of Emma and Garfield romatic scenes together because that back and forth with them was giving me a headache and didn't advance the plot.
It's pretty obvious Marc Webb had a plan for his Amazing Spider-man movies but SONY Executives meddled and interfered too much and caused it to fail. They should've just let Marc Webb cook and trust him instead of some financial consultant's opinion on what they believe the public likes.
This scene is superior to the version we have in the film. The final film has a slapstick comedy scene with Peter fixing a web shooter, which transitions immediately into a phone call with Harry revealing he’s dying. This scene begins with Peter walking into Oscorp, and his interaction with Harry starting playful until Harry knocks over the vase, an actual transition between tones. Character wise, it also shows Peter’s visit as one of his own initiative, because he wants to visit Harry, not that he was asked to. The subsequent office scene with Harry and Peter offers one final scene of them as friends before Harry goes bad. And the performances along with every quirk and the overall energy makes the same exposition that was convoluted the final film, actually work the best it possibly could. And of course storywise: Establishing he Goblin suit prior to he finale, showing the importance of the Power Plant which Harry never acknowledges in the final film, is addressed, so his story intertwining with Max’s suddenly feels earned. As for the surveillance subplot, I think of you had this in place of the plane scene, it would actually work. Give a new perspective on the Parent story while adding some new information. Peter has gotten away with so much in his building, yet he’s able to keep walking in while not getting in trouble. This is laziness in the writing, that could have been justified by saying that he was being watched regardless, and they wanted him to become Spiderman.
I would have given you a like, but it's currently at 69. Jokes aside, I agree. It builds up tension, or at least sets up possible conflict that can be appreciated later in the film.

unpopular opinion:Dane DeHaan was the perfect green goblin and perfect Harry Osborn, he was just written terribly. He was dong such a great job with his acting afterhe found out he was dying, the way he made his hands tremble and shake the way they were was just amazing
I think that back then, the TAS2 was a a not so popular franchise, because we all still missed Tobey's spidey. But watching this series now, it has several good things: Andrew is a great actor and gave gravitas to Peter; same for Emma Stone; the SFX are amazing (the sequences of spidey hanging are truly great CGI); the other actors from the cast are good, etc. I think the problem was a script that never really focused on one interesting subject (there were multiple useless subplots) which caused a poor character development. Compared with the quality of today movies (specially from the MCU), this movie feels like a masterpiece.
I didn't miss Maguire's Spider-Man at all. I thoroughly enjoyed Garfield's version and wished we could've had at least one more. Maybe it will happen before he gets too old!
Nah, that is not right. People were fine with another actor then as people were with Tom Holland by 2016. It just happened those were not good films that hold it all together and that overrides the individual talents.
@@adrianomoraes5992 Yup, this right here! This clip shows that there was a lot more meat to the story, but it was all edited out to create this completely rushed illogical story. Another point that took away from this, ironically, is also heavily showed here, its the fact that in this version Peter is the ONLY biological specimen that could have bonded with the spider, as implied by the father and Osborn working together and Osborn watching Peter grow. There's this weird heavy implication that the spider was specifically made to bite or otherwise interact with him. But then the bite is "accidental"? Due to Peter stumbling in? It doesn't make sense and it also removes from one of Spideys fundamental appeals: It could have been anyone! (that is really smark and happens to get bitten by a radioactive spider). Having it be specfically modified for him is just weird. Also the whole spy mom and dad element also just fits weirdly with Spidey. Its linked to old spidey comics but there's a reason we don't talk about it anymore, its one of those side stories like Iron Man's real biological parents, Wanda and Pietro not being mutants, America Chavez being human and an experiment, that just don't work, try too hard to connect back to the MCU and/or ground the characters to reality in a way that strips away some of the really really good mythos of the character.
Yeah I think what people have realized from watching Andrew Garfield in other movies is he's a great actor and did amazing. But the plot of those movies is just really bad lol
This was such a better scene then just the whole quick limo scene. We needed a both Peter and Spider-Man pov on this tragedy with his friend. And we barely got Peter’s whole view cause this was all cut. And it was also too much left up to the imagination on their actual relationship without this.
It really pisses me off how much Sony meddled with this film. They cut all sorts of important stuff (This, more Goblin scenes, etc) in favor of showing Peter and Gwen's romance. Had Webb been allowed to keep in these scenes, I'm sure ASM2 wouldn't have gotten as much flak as it did
Wtf this scene makes so much sense..... have Harry call Peter saying he needs to see him and then this scene happens and THEN the scene in the actual film where he tries to convince Peter to get Spiderman to donate his blood to Harry........ and the suit was introduced, so it wasnt just a damn random suit that came out of nowhere.
Why in gods name was this scene cut??!! :( I know it's only a couple minutes longer but why, it's so perfect it makes the placement of the the Goblin Armour less convenient, gives Harry some more depth and makes the relationship between Harry and Peter that little bit more compelling. PLEASE RELEASE A DIRECTORS CUT!
Patrick Ward Hey man, I'm still working on my fan edit (will contact you when it's finally online!) I was watching the latest draft of my fan edit, and something really confused me, about this scene. -If Peter's being watched, how do they not know he's Spider-Man? Especially since he got bitten in their own facility. Don't they have security cameras and don't they watch him all the time? -If they do know he is Spider-Man, why isn't him going inside Oscorp and being bitten inside Norman's little cube? -Another problem if they do know, if they intend to use Richard Parker's research for their dark purposes, and they know who Spider-Man is and how he came to be, why don't they try to capture him and use him for their own purposes? Could you perhaps help me out? Is it better to not use that scene and make it so that he wasn't under surveillance? Or is there something I'm missing and the scene should be in there for that reason? I'm most definitely keeping the Goblin armor part though. Someone told me that they probably don't know that he got the cross-species abilities, but how wouldn't they know that if he's under surveillance and in the Richard Parker lab?
@@kaankaraca2001 It looked like it was only 34 picture, so the surveillance might have only been for a limited time. All those pictures looked like they were when Peter was much younger.
@@kaankaraca2001 well perhaps when they were sure that Peter's parents have been eliminated, they stopped surveilling peter, his uncle and his aunt, as the loose ends have now been tied.
Maybe because they felt it was too exposition heavy for the final cut of the film but this scene alone makes the movie, and specifically Harry Osborne’s role in it, a lot better.
It’ll have been time and they were likely too busy trying to add Marvel humour like every other franchise has tried to do since. I’m telling you, the Guardians of the Galaxy killed the MCU despite it being the best set of stories in it.
@@Spazza42thing is the humor vibed well with GotG and even it had its moments where it took things seriously. Heck the earlier MCU movies had occasional humor mixed in but still kept to the point. Andrew is so good looking ....and unfortunately all of his greatest scenes were removed from the video. The scene where Peter confronts his dad ...........removed... That was a brilliant scene
Richard Parker: The human DNA that I implanted in the spiders... was my own. Which means, without me, without my bloodline, Oscorp can never replicate or continue my experiments.
This scene also adds in a context for the Green goblin suit in that it “does the walking while healing your body” keeping this scene would explain how Peter’s blood didn’t kill Harry as he had the suit to introduce some self healing, and it also would have shown the depth of Harry’s physical pain if he needs this to move around but... in eell
@@funtimez9098 Makes no sense. They could've redone the one at 50 in half an hour. Just prop him up again and set up the rest. It was just poor directing overall.
This scene literally connects the story of the first movie, to Harry and all of his motivations are explained, it also connects with max's story and Peter's dad story
I don't know what they were thinking cutting this scene out. It would have made Harry's transition to Goblin seem less rushed. Someone needs to do a fan edit with all the deleted scenes put back in.
0:26 Peter is staring at Felicia's assets. She looks back at him, so he looks at her face instead. She looks forward again, and she's smiling (oh she knows).

For time purposes. They film hours and hours worth of footage. To prevent them from making insanely long movies they cut down the filler to stick to a more sudible time length, on top of that alternate versions of scenes and plot points are reshot (because scripts always change even during filming) so they then keep whichever they find to be better.
4 роки тому+4
Time and/or narrative. Because the movie could be long or because a scene apport nothing to the movie... Or, in this case, because Sony is a sh*t.
Looking back the exosuit was meant to be a backup cure in case Harry's condition got too worse in case Peter couldn't deliver with a cure and in the end it worked the self healing helped keep his body moving as well as giving extra physical strength and if they kept this in it would have made excellent foreshadowing
I agree with you on that.... We can have both spider man at same time... One with Andrew Garfield and and venom with no other avengers.... And another with the MCU.... It doesn't hurt to have to spider man at the same time......
Amith Sujith yeah I wish they can make separate movies like that.. like joker for instance.. 2 jokers on screen portrayed by different actors.. in in the DCEU and another somewhere else.. and now they wanna get Phoenix joker in the DCEU smh.. it’s good as a stand alone film.. and the fact they would ruin it with shitty ass marvel jokes
Before the movie was released, I though it was possible that Norman Osborn's data device would be the key to Harry deducing Peter's secret, especially in the trailer when Harry tells Peter about Norman's surveillance. My first theory was that Harry would've discovered security footage of Peter's first visit to Oscorp in the first movie on the data device. The footage would show Peter entering the spider chamber and getting bit after he got out.
I always loved Andrew's Spider-Man...it looked like Ultimate Spider-Man jumped straight from the paper to the big screen. With that being said, personally, I think the casting for TASM and TASM2 is as best as it can possibly be. I just wish that the second movie was written differently. I mean their introduction to MJ didn't reach the final cut, but they have Electro, a Goblin, and Rhino show up in 2-hour 21-minute movie.
This...would have actually made this movie a bit creepier, the story a bit darker. Really could have made the whole movie better. I mean, they opened up the movie with Peter's mom and dad wrapped up in a much larger story where their lives were threatened and their research, hunted but that came to a halt. All that potential, wasted.
I bet this was cut due to time, but it allows a little bit more of Harry's personality to shine through and makes a better transition than what's in the final version.

unpopular opinion:Dane DeHaan was the perfect green goblin and perfect Harry Osborn, he was just written terribly. He was dong such a great job with his acting afterhe found out he was dying, the way he made his hands tremble and shake the way they were was just amazing
I liked him more as goblin but I didn’t like his voice as Barry
@@sue8de Barry Bee Osborn
????
Agreed. Back then i was thinking like, "wow. Andrew meets Dane Deehan". Both young and gifted actor so im not complaining.
Well I liked William dafoes green Goblin
Don’t quit your day job cuz you’d never make it as a film critic
Had Webb been allowed to keep in these scenes, I'm sure ASM2 wouldn't have gotten as much flak as it did
w
dfhjklooyds
At least Spidey's going home
+Basement Dweller true dat
Ya there was suppost to Mary Jane played by shaline Woodley
tbh d romance was d best thing about d movie lol...not this emo goblin
Kaan Karaca They don't have security cameras around his house
@@kaankaraca2001 It looked like it was only 34 picture, so the surveillance might have only been for a limited time. All those pictures looked like they were when Peter was much younger.
@@kaankaraca2001 well perhaps when they were sure that Peter's parents have been eliminated, they stopped surveilling peter, his uncle and his aunt, as the loose ends have now been tied.
Snyder’s Cut*
This scene is way better than the actual movie we got. Makes me wonder why it got removed.
Maybe because they felt it was too exposition heavy for the final cut of the film but this scene alone makes the movie, and specifically Harry Osborne’s role in it, a lot better.
Because of studio interference. Marc Webb is a super talented filmmaker and I hope they bring him back for a third part with more creative freedom
It’s just that over time it started getting shoved in needlessly until there was more comedy than story.
Felicity Jones! One of my favorite actresses. She was perfect in Rogue One.
Is it me or is Peter constantly checking out Felicia's um...."figure"? ;)
Well she's gonna be black cat, figures gotta be...good

I can't believe this was cut out. Lots of development and important plot points that should have been prioritized over any of the *Rhino* scenes.
Andrew is so good looking ....and unfortunately all of his greatest scenes were removed from the video.
The scene where Peter confronts his dad ...........removed...
That was a brilliant scene
I always felt like his hair was too big for his head tho
I was wondering how Harry knew that Spider-Man could self heal. Thanks Sony for cutting out a shit ton of important exposition
Richard Parker: The human DNA that I implanted in the spiders... was my own. Which means, without me, without my bloodline, Oscorp can never replicate or continue my experiments.
This scene also adds in a context for the Green goblin suit in that it “does the walking while healing your body” keeping this scene would explain how Peter’s blood didn’t kill Harry as he had the suit to introduce some self healing, and it also would have shown the depth of Harry’s physical pain if he needs this to move around but... in eell
0:41 peter's neck before

Matthew Dyrmishi what the heck
Matthew Dyrmishi maybe that’s why they deleted it

it's the awkward spiderman neck scratch!
@@funtimez9098 Makes no sense. They could've redone the one at 50 in half an hour. Just prop him up again and set up the rest. It was just poor directing overall.
This movie had a lot of potential

1:51 I just realized Peter carries his mask in his back left pocket
i thought it was just a red handkerchief 3:28
This scene literally connects the story of the first movie, to Harry and all of his motivations are explained, it also connects with max's story and Peter's dad story
I don't know what they were thinking cutting this scene out. It would have made Harry's transition to Goblin seem less rushed. Someone needs to do a fan edit with all the deleted scenes put back in.
That would be an excellent idea
Nicky Thompson-Quartey I'll get right on it! 😊
Advanced Cinema please do!
Nicky Thompson-Quartey You got it! 😊
Advanced Gaming Really ?
Man,if you really can re-edit The movie you could save this movie. That would be awesome
0:26 Peter is staring at Felicia's assets. She looks back at him, so he looks at her face instead. She looks forward again, and she's smiling (oh she knows).
Yulong Tan oh shit
Yulong Tan she is with the force
Yulong Tan I think that was on purpose
Yulong Tan
Bitch is black cat confirmed?
Yulong Tan eh, something tells me that this is FAR from the first time Felicia OR Miss Jones has caught some guy, ahem, appreciating her.
I can't believe I didn't see this scene before! Just from her name Felicity I always thought Felicia Hardy but wow when Andrew saved her from ball it was Soo sweet! She was so pretty and perfect to be Black Cat! And Dane DeHaan was so unnerving as Harry! Unforgettable 20.8.2023
Great actress. Huge potential for an excellent Black Cat incarnation
“He spent more time watching you than me” Kinda creepy isn’t. Watching a kid that wasn’t even yours like that
Very, but it kind of makes sense. Peter was the son of a very successful scientist. Maybe he hoped Peter would be like his dad and join him at Oscorp
I never understand why movies delete scenes...
727Martin pacing
cause they have need stuff to make the blu ray special. all dvds have deleted scenes
For time purposes. They film hours and hours worth of footage. To prevent them from making insanely long movies they cut down the filler to stick to a more sudible time length, on top of that alternate versions of scenes and plot points are reshot (because scripts always change even during filming) so they then keep whichever they find to be better.
Time and/or narrative.
Because the movie could be long or because a scene apport nothing to the movie...
Or, in this case, because Sony is a sh*t.
@ At times movie shouldnt have deleted scene honestly, I think most people can agree on that lol
"14 years of research and nothing to show for it"

@@ana.___d have you got it? 😂
Why didn’t they add this to the movie?! It would’ve added so much to the story and made an excellent ending leading to a third movie.
Looking back the exosuit was meant to be a backup cure in case Harry's condition got too worse in case Peter couldn't deliver with a cure and in the end it worked the self healing helped keep his body moving as well as giving extra physical strength and if they kept this in it would have made excellent foreshadowing
Andrew Garfield should reprise his role since Venom is within the Sonyverse.
@friggyk so fucking true!!!

Another scene they should have kept in the movie, so much character development and adding to the story
Andrew Garfield did the best Spider-Man impersonation. Like he was more like the comics than all the other Spider-Man.
Andrew Garfield is my favorite Spidey/Peter Parker. They need to give him another solo movie.
This was a great scene and gave us more of felicity. Honestly liked her character and I think this would have made the movie a lil bit better
Felicia could have been black cat
Alexander Jones Felicity* lol
Dormammu in the movie her name is Felicia
Felicia Hardy is Black Cat's name I think
Dormammu, I've come to bargain!
There could've been so many potential fap scenes, now, lost, lost forever.
It's too bad the second film was such a disaster, the actors were very good for their roles
I prefer her with her natural British accent though... still bae though...
I don’t care what anyone says the TASM series was great
Ye I feel robbed we didn't get a third movie. Loved the TASM movies no matter what other people say about them
Ok, this should have been in the movie. It would have at least given reason to the dad storyline
Honestly, these version of spiderman and harry, is my favorite, if only they give harry more screen time and character development..
Peter:Harry, why didn't you ever thought about calling me?
Also Harry:Isn't that a question of the day?
thank you man...never saw felicity jones in this movie and never seen the scene before
how could u not see her she had an important role, she gave the info to harry (special projects)
Nobody:
UA-cam: ya they will like this 4 years after this post
These scenes honestly help make the movie make a lot more sense. Them deleting these is absolutely ridiculous.
Controversial statement among fans, but Andrew was my favorite Spider-Man. He was a modern nerd. Not a stereotype.
imagine in alternate timeline, people are excited for the TASM 5 with all this Big Star cast and making it's own Live Action SpiderVerse
“I need a moment with my friend.” In other words, “BYE FELECIA!”

If they had cut like half the movie and included the deleted scenes this film would be 500x better
Agree
This would’ve explained how Harry knew that Spider-Man could self heal
