- I attempt to bring back to life the 1966 Ford Galaxie R Code 427 4 speed. She has sat for about 5 years so there is work to do. Work started on the car a few videos ago so click on the link below to catch up.

Man, gotta love those old 7 litre fords. Nothing like their power
This , 66 is a absolute gem . I , once had 66 7litre , C6 . But , being Australian ford guy. we just just dont smorgasbord of picks ...but very lucky owner of this beauty.👍
This is one rare 66…and beautiful as well..sounds great!
Beautiful 66. I have a 7 Litre convertible, I love the body style and ride. They will never make cars like this again.
Couldn't agree more!
That is a cool 66. I have a 66 4 door and 67 4 door. I love them both. I love driving the 66 and I cannot wait to drive my 67, I have been working on that one for awhile. Getting closer to that one every day.
Sounds great! Thanks for watching!!
Can’t wait for it !😎
Absolutely a beautiful and powerful '66 500. You stated you once owned this car, only way it wouldn't still be mine is if it was replaced with a comparable '67 that'd never be let go off.
It's tough to let them go and I've been lucky to have had some amazing cars but I'm not a rich man and I cannot afford to keep and collect them so they go to guys who can. I just wish some of the cars I've done guy would actually drive and enjoy them instead of becoming dust collectors...lol. Thanks for watching!!
Really cool 66!
One of my favorite cars! Great job and thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Not a Ford person but I would love to have that.
Thanks for discussing the Bakelite box on the inner fender. Having had a 66 with the 352 that didn't have that I was wondering what it was as I had never seen a ford with that setup. Nice job retaining that rare piece of history in a very nice Galaxie!
Thank you!
i never knew they made an R code 66 .. an older brother had a 7 litre model for a while .. same black look with a 4 speed ..
Nice 66 427
I had a black 66 2 dr HT 390 4V. I have a Caspian Blue 65 2 dr ht with the 394 ci FE.
Noticed cracked fuel lines.
you never took us for the ride
It leaves Tuesday....
Got an issue with my 63 R code and you might be just the guy who knows what's it needs. It doesn't like to start when hot. Will start in hot weather and I can drive it short distances but if I drive very far and stop and try and start it it wont start. Needs at least an hour to cool down before it will start again. I thought it was the starter cable routed near the headers but fixing that didn't solve it and I'm not sure what to try next.
If it cranks fast then it's vapor lock, if it cranks slow then it could be a weak starter. The cast iron headers and the heat from them will really kill a starter on the edge of going bad. Look me up on Facebook (Dave Walters) if your on there and shoot me a message if you need help. My icon has my beige 1968 Mustang on it.
@@mydirtygarage What would you suggest as a replacement starter?
Is it hard to find parts for the Ford 427? If so I'd rather have the 390 or 351.
You can get new and used but all of them are expensive. Thanks for watching!
