    What is the real purpose
    for a P.I.P ?
    Is it to ‘gently’ coerce an employee to find other employment?
    Is it an attempt to intimidate a targeted employee by management?

      I have used them to formalize the learning needs and describe the steps and expectations. More times than not - it has been positive and people rise up

      It can also be used as a way to move people out - but if that is the intention then the leader is not taking their responsibility to lead others towards success
