      You are so welcome! I love the Okra in black-eyed peas. it gives it the flavor that I was missing from my Granny's version.

      YT is apparently having some issues with notifications, because you are not the only one not getting notified. I try to upload every Saturday around 11M EST. I have missed a few due to health issues that have had me off my feet a bit, but am getting back on schedule.

      @FyreflyesFollies  2 роки тому

      I use just under 1/2 cup per dry beans (any kind) per pint, and just under 1 cup per quart. a scant level measuring cup, if you heap it they will over-fill your jar.

    How would you recommend cooking the ham hocks for a ninja foodi? I don't have an instant pot so there's no "stew" setting.

    • @FyreflyesFollies
      @FyreflyesFollies  4 роки тому +1

      I honestly do not know much about the foodi. If it has a slow cooker setting, I would try that for 4-5 hours and see if they are falling apart tender. You need to cook out the connective tissue in order to be able to break them down.

      chopsticks work. So does a plastic knife. I just don't use metal inside my jars.... The de-bubblers are pretty cheap.
