First of all thanks for all your tutorials and videos concerning the EOS M, I have taken your budget rig one step further, built my own cage (aluminium)* and also 3D printed side handles , a hood for my LG Android smartphone and also an external battery pack (I previously had a dummy battery), plus a few other bits & bobs to tidy up cable routing, I am (thanks to you) now getting the kind of results that I have seen from some of your videos, (I decided to use 2,5 K RAW 2,35:1 aspect ratio) , but.... my problem is now really with UA-cam uploads, If I upload my 2,5K footage it looks OK but not as sharp and clear as the original, so far it has never obtained the VP09 codec, and still displays as AVC-1, if I check out the "stats for nerds" all your stuff seems to have obtained VP09 (even 2,5K footage) , a lot of YT videos recommend upscaling to solve this "problem" , I have tried upscaling to 4K (in ML App) but the result is not good (from 2,5K), so what am I doing wrong? I have several ideas for short films using the present setup but do not want to publish unless the quality is close to what I see locally. *I am a retired mechanical engineer so making the cage was fairly straightforward as I have a workshop in my basement.

Hi, I’ve got the same Smallrig M50 cage but when mounting it on my EOS M, the camera sensor is out of axis and slightly incline anticlockwise, did you manage ti find a solution? Thank you!
@Zeek. I just discovered that the reason lies in the fact that the new version, the 2168C, has a tapered geometry on the bottom left that would accomodate ideally the m50 But doesn’t allow the eosM to be aligned to the axis of the cage!
In case you're still trying to get the cage to fit, I think the one linked in the description is incorrect.
