This is one of my favourite areas of the Lakes. I came across that camp last time I was there and was disgusted with the state of the place. Several fire pits, rubbish left around and trees axed down with trees partly damaged. It's a shame some people spoil it for the rest of us by not sticking to the leave no trace ethos.
It wasn't too bad when we visited, only 1 fire pit and no rubbish. Agree I get really annoyed about people axing trees down there's no need - plenty of dead fall about.

I like you being careful with those slugs....my gag reflex couldn't take another "sluggate"...iam happy your numbers are going up... mine are too , slowly but surely....hope you are well and your feet n knee are better... Take care out there.
