- I failed the WEST HIGHLAND WAY due to injury so this is what I did instead...
Wild swim and camp at the beautiful Loch Rannoch, visited some film locations for Monty Python, Highlander and Harry Potter and another camp on the most stunning beach I've ever seen in the UK. White sandy beaches, crystal blue waters and a view of the sun setting over the mountains of Skye.
I also stopped in one of the best bothies in the UK but that's on the next video - don't forget to subscribe!

Still trolling through some of your old vlogs.
The West Highland way can be done again.
Loved this cant wait for your next mission.😃
Cheers Daniel glad you enjoyed, looks like you're making good progress through the back catalogue. I recommend the gower vids and Wales spectacular camping location both awesome places to camp 👍
@@Wild.cat.adventures I will certainly Check those out 👍
What awesome views and a great adventure. Love how you smile and have a great laugh :)
Thank you, I always try to smile even when things are tough! 😊
@@Wild.cat.adventures Hope to bump into you one day on a hike. Be great to see you and chat in person :)
@@BimbleWithBruce a few of us are going to Lavuu I think this year 👍
Well done for carrying on with the trip despite the injured knee - as a bothy geek and MBA work party veteran I'll be intrigued to discover which bothy you rate as 'best in the UK'
@@Fellwander I'm sure there are a few that could vie for the title, there's a couple I really want to go to when time allows. This was by far the cleanest and best maintained bothy I've been too. Thank you for taking care of our bothies. I did my bit and took ALL of the rubbish with me, although there wasn't much tbf
Brilliant.excelent vid.
When I lived in scotland we used Simple hand cream on the face and hands to deter midges.
Tiger balm is very helpful for knees pains.
Thanks glad u enjoyed! Unfortunately cocodamol and ibuprofen weren't making a difference so not sure tiger balm would work but I do use it for other things. Maybe it would work as midge repellent 🤔
Well done Cat, yet another great little video, loved the geeky bits to👍
Haha cheers totally let the inner geek out to play 😂
What a beautiful spot for night 🏕️You spending amazing time
Take care 🏕️🧉🏕️
@@WildPawOut thanks I really enjoyed it in Scotland, can't wait to go back! 😊

@@Wild.cat.adventures You confronted the vicious Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog. That beastie has a mean streak a mile wide!

Hope your knee and heels are better... I met you at the outdoor expo!!. I don't remember anyone selling dodgy stoves... mind you j did spend a lot of time at the northern monk stand 😎😎😎😎
Can't even remember which stand it was on to complain sadly. And hi Ewan! Hope you're good? 😊
@@Wild.cat.adventures yes iam very well thank you... it feels very strange being called by my real name.. Everyone calls me Juan now, (my grandkids find it hilarious).. Take care of yourself,, hopefully we will meet up at next year's expo, or bump into each other in the peak district , Dartmoor or such place..
@@littlegrandadoutdoors I'm sure there will be a next time... Juan 🤣
OH YES Monty Python Spot! Thanks for that. The loch side spot looked awesome. Another WIN for you Cat, thanks for the video!
Wahey fellow monty python fan! Glad you enjoyed 😁
@@Wild.cat.adventures Hang on, where did you get the coconut shells from? Coconuts are tropical and Scotland's a temperate zone.
@@alanbinks6106 a swallow brought them over... 🤣
You didn't fail anything, you wisely took notice of your knee and made the right decision. Plus you had a seperate adventure that you wouldn't have experienced.
Thanks, knee still hurts 2 weeks later, getting physio but it's a slow process. I dud enjoy my little adventure tho (when I wasn't walking lol!)
@Wild.cat.adventures im not a big believer in physio, i try natural remedies like arnica/echinacea gels. Sorry for the double comment lol, im old, me and technology dont get on 😆deleted the other 😆
@@radagastoutdoors3916 physio definitely works I'm living proof - they fixed my back, but herbal remedies are also good. I've been recommended turmeric and glucosamine
@Wild.cat.adventures I'm glad physio has helped, turmeric is good for many things. Take it easy and you'll soon be back to your best 🤞
@@radagastoutdoors3916 I hope so! 🤞
I'm not a doctor, but as a fellow knee pain sufferer sometimes my knee hurting seems to be telling me that my boots/shoes are worn out and it's time to get new ones. Just a thought -- Good Luck.
Yh barefoot boots weren't the one that's for sure!
The thumbnail image suggests a possibility - you ate your tent so that you could say you were ' fed up ' with camping ?
Haha like it! Might use that some time 🤣
Hi cat love your channel feel for you that you had too pull out off the WHW 😢 and yes you always look attractive 😍 x
@@julianblight4840 thanks nice to wake up to a compliment although I can assure you it's not always 😂

Looked like a glimpse of Jimmy Saviles old house.
Yes I've heard it's round Glen Coe, not sure where it is?
It was. It's about 300 yards before the Three Sisters viewpoint car park. It's a shame it is so damaged now. A previous owner was the renowned Scottish mountaineer Hamish MacInnes.
@@alanbinks6106 ahh I thought it was in the valley not on the road, I know exactly the house you're talking about, kinda wish I'd pointed it out on the vid now although tbf, he does not deserve such mention!
@@Wild.cat.adventures It's the one with Peado written across it in three foot high red letters.
