- I took Cybertruck to the Automatic Car Wash, it was pretty dirty with the mud all over the truck. This truck has 35" Tires All Terrain and it was able to fit easily for the wash.

Finally a truck that makes the Pontiac Aztec look good. GMC must be so happy. 😂
I dunno, few million preorders that GMC could have had. Turned down my Sierra EV order as it is releasing as a 2024, and still has old CCS port, requires 7k equipment + 7k install for the V2H backup setup, and lacks the level of automation of the CT in many regards. The CT doesn't seem like such a bad deal, especially if backup your house with it (especially if already have powerwalls/solar). That and its kinda nice to have body panels that don't dent.
I run my MYLR through automatic car wash 2-3 times a week. No damage at all. So for those who hand wash at home, don’t waste your time, unless you have nothing to do.
Just use a steel brush to wash your car, it get's all the dirt off. You don't even need water.
My guy was really worried about cloth brushes on his stainless steel exoskeleton......🤦♂️🤷♂️
Lol. I am the only one who took it first do it because I said Stainless Steel should be able to take it.
@@MyGadgetsWorld stainless steel still can scratch though
Great video thanks. When did you put your order in for your truck?
Never had a vehicle that needed "car wash mode" for a simple carwash. Make sure windows are rolled up and good to go.
Without it the charge poor door can flip open because it has a sensor that makes it do that if it is pressed on.
Yet you understand not bringing a hair dryer to the bathtub. Think about it.
operated a CarWash 15 years ago, most cars even back then needed a CW mode, electric parking brakes were the problem and the drivers did not know how to operate them, so cars braked and got stuck. Doors with IR sensors opened, gas caps had to be locked, all "modern" cards of the last 20 years have lots of issues in a carwash. And the is BMW series 5 on which the side mirror flip forward, stupid design and rips off in a carwash
It’s not that serious. Most cars could use one to lock wipers and doors, and fold mirrors and set to neutral. Not necessary but appreciated.
Thanks for this. I'd been taking my S with Ceramic coasting through a similar new carwash in Texas 2 times a week and the car always came out unscathed and looking great. I'll try Quik Quack now with my Beast. Hope it works on fingerprints
Coleton tested ceramic products and they all make the truck look orange. See Out of Spec Detailing video. There's not much in that wash I'm sure, but you should probably opt-out of ceramic in the future. Apparently, Windex cleans the truck well, especially fingerprints. Great video, really well done and first we've seen a CT in a car wash.
Thank you for your comment.
Any update on using Quick Quack Car Wash Ceramic Duck? Did you stay at that level or lower it to another level? Any discoloring?
Model Y instruction manual advises not to take through bristle car wash (only "touchless" automatic wash or handwash is advised) but I have been using bristle car wash to great success. Bristles wash cleaner than touchless and faster than handwash. Does Cybertruck instruction manual also advise against bristles? Thanks
Yes. Instructions are same with additional instructions to clean stains and birds poop right away.
Thanks, good video. Curious, what tint is that and has the front window been done?
Thank you. It is 20% matching the back windows.
Yes, the windshield is tinted, I am guessing it's 20% as well. You can see at like 2:49 if you look close to the plastic piece in the middle of the windshield. Also, there is no way it would be the dark 'legally' from the factory.
i wonder if they have snow mode, rain mode, water on road mode, salt on road mode, must have to change modes as the driving conditions change
beware that ceramic coating are leaving a residue effect. The best way to keep the stainless steel looking shinny and free of streaks, blemishes is to wipe it down with liquid form Barkeepers Friend and then spray and wipe down with Windex. Do this only on the steel parts not the plastic black parts
That's a very good carwash lol that soap is immense compared to my local car wash lol
Does the car-wash mode checklist include closing the tonneau cover?
No. Good question though what if it was open 😱
Beautiful truck!
Love the limo tint all around.
What percentage is the windshield?
25%
Thank you
@@MyGadgetsWorld looks awesome brother!!! Congrats on the purchase
Was there any water in the frunk? Thanks for sharing this info. I’m seriously considering buying a CT. Peace and get well soon.
No , nothing at the Frunk
Basserd on the video you can see there was some water at the end of the trunk.
Beats washing it by hand, unless you enjoy doing it by hand like alot of car enthusiasts! Great video!
Thank you
I thought going through a carwash would void the warranty. is this when the truck starts to rust?
Thanks for posting!
Quick question, is that 5% window tint?
Hello John. It is 25%
What a joke! I have a seven year old beat up tonneau cover, and I don’t get any water in the back of my truck bed!
Why was the car behind following so close. They should keep their ass away.
Yes that guy was pretty close.
Normal @$$es
I don’t think you care much driving military grade truck
cooooooooooooool truck!
Thank you :)
Any updates on using Quick Quack?
Still working great! No issues so far
Washing the beast❤
Yes Prasanth
They used to say, ‘ Keep your eyes on the road.’ Now it’s, ‘ Keep your eyes on the infoscreen. ‘ EV’s are ridiculous but this is nothing but a nerdmobile.
Did they really apply the windshield tint over what appears to be orange window chalk??? lol.. It's even directly right in front of the driver. Lovely.
Orange window chalk was just marking from Car Wash people that I need tier 3 Ceramic car wash.
This is an excellent video! Just like your video when you parked the truck in your garage for the first time, I'm impressed to see your real world use scenarios being documented.
Thank you very much!
The leak isn't ideal when on a long road trip driving in the rain, it will wet most of the luggage inside
Was there water in the bed compartment?
Little bit, it was at the end of the video
@MyGadgetsWorld I mean in the compartment in the bed floor with the drain.
So with an added wiper for the passenger side and a ceramic wash this ridiculous wash seemed better than one would expect with one roll through. The jackass behind seemed to be lost in the muck. But the Cyber Truck seemed to end up well and not ruined which was entirely possible with so much mud aboard and not using a garden hose to knock the huge mud clumpes off first. I would never do this as a test, just saying.
Such a nice truck!
Thank you :)
That steering wheel is atrocious. Imagine trying to gain control after a fish tail. 🤣
I make my kids wash my truck and then take them to Dirty Mac’s…🤣
🤣
I really like the tint, what % did u get all around?
25%
Did the car wash remove fingerprints?
Yes, microfiber wipe and all gone
@@MyGadgetsWorld Great!🤗
This is what I wanted someone to do. Go to a car wash. We have Quick Quack here in California and are members. You did not get “Ceramic Duck”. You got “Lucky Duck”, which is probably a good thing because the ceramic duck has oils in it and probably would have smeared and looked bad.
You can tell what you got because of the blinking light as your truck is going in. I think I will keep my Quick Quack and downgrade from the Ceramic Duck to the Lucky Duck. Maybe you will go back and get the Ceramic Duck to see what happens, but it looked really good coming out of the other end.
It was Ceramic Duck. On windshield it says 3 which is the highest Tier wash they have. I always go there and wash was excellent.
But the light on the right was flashing Lucky Duck. In California it flashes what you are getting and on the ceramic duck you get a graphic of a duck on your windshield as you drive thru.
Please confirm. Again, thank you for doing this.
So, he basically got lucky then.
The truck is beat up!🤣Look at the seat, twice as big as the driver.🤣 Did you pre order spare parts?
You have never used a wide angle camera. it tends to distort the edges. Thus, making the seat look stretched.
@@MyGadgetsWorld got your gas pedal fixed? send it!
@@MyGadgetsWorld So a wide angle camera looks you small? Or the seat big? Dude!
You needed to go to the Buc-ees car wash. BTW, I think ceramic coat can be useless since CT has no paint and clear coat layers.
True. Thank you.
Warranty void.
Yeah wait till the water rust that shit
The guy after you got the filthy brushes.
It's no prettier when it's clean!
I wouldn't allow those to come into my car wash. Ever.
Wow, a truck that needs many things to happen just to make it safe to take into a deluge of water. So innovative! Now I need to worry about a lot more than just "are my windows up?"
Wow , pushing a button is so much work “ 😮💨😮💨. 😂😂😂
It's just one button or voice command. I'm not sure if you're driving a Dodge Diplomat these days but newer cars have things like 'auto sensing wipers' that need to be cut off before going into a car wash.
Lol, dodge diplomat!😂😂
Uhhhh the button is to close your mirrors to prevent them from damage and it makes sure it closes all your windows and tonneau cover. Get a clue!
Water getting in the bed seems to invalidate the entire point of having the rolling cover
I mean personally I would of did a touchless car wash instead or just hand washed it
Do Not Wash your Cybertruck in an automated car wash. Tesla never thought that far ahead. It's a meme car meant for content creators. Washing it will cause a short circuit and chemicals used on car washes will cause the steel to rust quicker over time. The water will get trapped in some places causing more issues later on. Also remove the wheel cover on the side which has a flaw and damages the wheel. There is a recall on it.
So many haters. Look I have a 90s era 911. I get it, analog cars are cool, but so is Tesla. I love the Cybertruck.
Windex will be the best cleaner for the steel to remove finger prints.
What an absurd price for a car wash
That's what I thought $35 for a car wash where they vacuum and do windows is less than that.
@@Jr8uup i hand wash my car for kess than $5
@@Jr8uup and if you Neede somebody to vaccum your car, omg, touren not a car lover at all
I have a monthly plan at my local drive through car wash where I can go once a day and it is $25 a month. Oh and all I have to do is make sure all the windows are rolled up.
Are u considering a wrap?
Yes, but hard to decide which one to go with.
@MyGadgetsWorld I'll suggest glossy black brother...looks really cool or a matte grey as matte black will be a very common choice
@@MyGadgetsWorldI would go for Matte black or Matte dark grey. The vehicle was literally inspired by the F-117 and the PL-01
I'd suggest a combination color/Pattern. Saw one from Signature wraps.
Wow, before I clicked I expected to see wash buckets and pressure washers, not a an actual car wash😨. I’ve never taken my 2020 Model 3 through a car wash, I’m kinda jealous 😨😨…
Glad you liked
Why not? I do mine 2-3 times a week
@@deplorablechump8758 only hand wash , there’s no touchless car wash in my area, the regular drive through car wash is bad for the paint and especially the trim . I either wash it myself or take it to a hand wash service. I have seen a few people take a Tesla through a car wash in passing ( I live down the street from one and pass it every day) , but don’t know how it turned out. I’ve seen the window trim ruined by a drive there car wash. This is just my Model 3, I take my wife’s Acura through it all the time .
@@Lovejazz01 I use automatic car wash with brushes just like the one in the post and I have no issues. You should try it.
so basically they pay upwards of 60k to make excuses...amazing
Thanks for the video.
The water ingress was very minimal considering the copious amounts pouring on it. Any cargo would have extra waterproofing as required regardless of the truck.
I pray for your prompt recovery, but do get a good amount of rest.
audio got me wondering if I called into tech support
Yes sir! How may I help you :)
Anyone that takes their car through a carwash deserves a thumbs down! Anyone professional detailers will tell you that over time doing this will marre your paint! Best to just handwash your car, afterall you paid 6 figures for this rofl....
It’s stainless steel there’s no paint to mess up
Is there an emergency open button inside the bed if a kid got trap inside with the cover closed?
I will have to look into that. Just being cautious, I would never put kids in the back and close tonneau cover
Yes there is. Bottom right of tailgate. Pop little cover off and pull on the straps
THATs No Truck Its a CYBER Mini Van that Cant Carry or TOW Real World Loads
Alright sir!
F on Tesla for failing to waterproof the cargo area!!!
Yes. It rains a lot here.
That feels like throwing a toaster into a bath tub. What if it shorts out?
Motors and battery are sealed and car wash just gets the exterior wet. Nothing to short out.
100k truck through Shity car wash! Dude🤦
I have seen Escalade worth 150K going through it and many more. Huh
If it can take a bullet then it should be able to take brushes easily :)
Wait till that car wash gets older you'll have scratches on the Stainless.
I can go to a newer one, or there are good ones that they maintain
I don't think even gritty rollers can scratch 30* series stainless
Imagine claiming your truck is tough because it survived a carwash.
I mean the fact that a 100k car leaks water is a massive joke.
Wash your car in an automatic car wash and enjoy your fresh car getting sanded by all the previous dirt and grime.
You have to do all that just to get an EV Washed,to much trouble I'll stick with my easy Gas Vehicle.
I understand with all the sensors and features the car provides why there’s a car wash mode. Unfortunately this is ridiculous that you can’t just go through a car wash like everyone else does with a normal vehicle.
Hey bro, I sent you a message on messenger. I want to meet up.
Hi. I did not get your message. Are we friends on messenger?
