Very helpful indeed !!! I no longer need to use other device and log to another account just to see my co-teachers during webinars..Thank you very much..!!
Thank you for creating this video! I've just been having two windows open and basically doing a split screen like shown in this video. Is there an added benefit to using Dualless that I missed? (I do like the fact that there are different pre-set proportions that you can select from, but I'm wondering if there are other features that make it better to use this extension instead of just having two open windows?) Thanks!
Thank you. It would be better also show us "on students monitor" how your PP presentation is seen on 5:5 ratio. I wonder how your screen is seen by the students. Thanks
Thanks for the video! I"m a SS teacher and would love if you were able to share the presentation you used as an example "Teaching students to become expert researchers"
@The EdTech Show Hi, do you use the Google Meet Attendance together with the Dualless? Does the GMA work properly together? I have a problem if I use them at the same time during my lessons. During the Dualless presentation, the students showed absents in the GMA HTML report. Like the presentation is a blanket that covers the students during the presentation.
Thank you for this! Please, please tell us how to get rid of the message saying "You are presenting" after I split the screens? It doesn't seem to appear on your Meet screen after you use Dualless.
Thanks for sharing the information on Dualless. Do you know if you're able to split screens with PowerPoint? I want to be able to meet on Google Meet and use Dualless to show a PowerPoint presentation. Is that possible?
I would use Publish to Web for Slides to allow students to have a larger view since their screen often is a window pane with the Meet. Great idea hope this works well.
I do appreciate your presentation very helpful Edtech Show. But, I have a problem I am also experiencing problems in the audio of all the videos being presented in the google meet whether from the drive or even from the UA-cam. The sound doesn't work continuously and it has a terrible logging of audio, How can I fix it?. Can you help me please. Thank you
Thank you.. how to conduct online exam using Google meet or Google classroom... or other best way.. as you know all control should be with teachers side.. kindly guide me. Thank you 😊
This is good is all students are virtual. Would need to adjust if projecting to in-person students in class and presenting to virtual students at the same time.
If we are using the extension in that case while presenting not able to change the slide with both the screen and If we try to change in that case it only shows the presentation screen
Hi , I downloaded this I also have grid view extension. I can see all of my students, however when I present with a Google Chrome tab I can only see a few students. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi! Can the students see both sides of your screen when using Dualless? I would prefer to have the students only see my presentation, and have me be the only person who can see both the presentation and the students. Is this possible?
Sir, students can view both screens or presentation screen alone? Kindly clarify this. Thanks in advance. Is it possible to make students able to presentation screen alone?
Is there any way to see more than 4 or 5 extensions? I learned I can change their position so I can access the Dualless Ext while in multi-screen, but if I hadn't it was all the way to the right and it appears I don't have access.
You should be able to hover your mouse just between the extension icons and the Star used to bookmark. Your mouse should turn into a grab hand that lets you shrink the URL pane and expand the extension pane.
How can I get rid of the big message saying "You are presenting - stop presenting" ? It comes up where the participants should be and I can't see all the participants.
I may be wrong, but I think the reason Dan doesn't get the ridiculously large "You are presenting..." message is because he's using Google Grid View Extension...
Hi again thank you for the great info. Is it possible for you to share some info on how we can show videos that we made in google meet presentation. We already tried a lot of things but still it wont work. The only thing that works is if its a link in youtube or a website. But it doesnt work if we make our own videos. Thank you very much
Hi Letvon, have you tried uploading them to Google Drive or UA-cam and then presenting them in the Meet? That's how I usually share videos. I keep Meet open in 1 tab and then the video in another. Here's a quick video that shows you my set-up: ua-cam.com/video/3YCXpxRUsoA/v-deo.html
Hi Shamshad. You could try going up to the URL and replacing /edit and all the characters after it and typing in /preview and then pressing enter. Please let me know if that works!
There is one major problem with this method. When I did this, the kids could only see "half" of my presentation in a long narrow window. As soon as you go to "present" it shuts off the two-screen mode. Any advice on this?
When I start sharing a video or my screen I don't want my 2nd monitor to show 'You're presenting to everyone' I just want to see a grid of students. I've tried share Tab, Entire Window, and Your entire screen. Any help?
If you present full screen though (I.e. if you are going between smartnote and UA-cam) it shows the students in their screen too. Still looking for a better solution to entire screen.
Experiment with the 2 other options. Share a Window will keep showing an instance of a chrome browser. You can toggle between tabs, and whatever tab is active will be what the students see. The brand new Share a Tab pins to a specific tab, so no matter what you have up on your screen, students only see that one tab (a small blue rectangle gets added to the tab so you can keep track of what is being presented)
How can I use "presenter view" in PPT in Google Meet? I don't want to share the complete window with all my private notes. In ZOOM I can share part of a window... but in Google Meet?
Is there a way to present in Google meet but have me on the lower corner talking to the students on the screen. So they would see my face on the lower corner of the screen but in the background see my presentation
1:42 I don't think you're correct by saying that you can select present entire screen. If you do so, students can see all the splitting screen same as presenter's screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, thank you.
If that little checkbox doesn't work you can try this: On your computer 1. Go to Sound Control Panel 2. Click on the Recording tab 3. Right click on the Stereo Mix Audio HD 4. Click on Enable Try it on Google Meet 1. Go to settings 2. Click on the Audio tab 3. Set your Microphone to Stereo Mix Audio HD It's a bit more complicated than the checkbox, but that should work as well.
New solution just rolled out this week! In Chrome, use the new "Present Chrome Tab" instead of the Share Screen or Share Window option. It was specifically made to solve this issue, and works pretty well. You'll need to open the youtube/video tab first, so you can select in when you choose the sharing tab.
The EdTech Show what check box?? I didn’t know there was something to check to switch the audio when playing a video. I always did it the way you explained.
Very helpful indeed !!! I no longer need to use other device and log to another account just to see my co-teachers during webinars..Thank you very much..!!

Thank you so much. I will try it tomorrow coz I am using 2 monitors just for me to see my students during the presentations.

Thanks, very good feature. Rectify big issue during presentation mode.
Excellent video, thank goodness!
Thanks for all the info!!!
The problem is I have 26 students. You showed this with 2 other people. I need to see the whole class.
This is great, thank you. My question is, what happen when the screen that you want to share is a software, outside Google Chrome? how can i do that?
Fantastic! Thank you so much!
Fantastic video, thanks for helping with Google Meet!
Thanks so much, I'm glad you found this helpful! I know it's been a huge help to me too, so I'm happy others can benefit from this as well.

Thank you for the information. How can I share video with audio in Google meet with the use of my cellphone? Thank you in advance!
Thanx for your great explication
AWESOME! THANK YOU!
You're welcome Cristina!
Hi Dan, thanks for the video but what is that 3 icon extension you have with the thumbs up (emotes?), hand raising and cog (settings?)
May I know what model of head phone are you using? Thanks!
I would use Publish to Web for Slides to allow students to have a larger view since their screen often is a window pane with the Meet. Great idea hope this works well.
Thanks Shawn, that's actually a really great idea!
very helpful thank you
Can you recommend an extension that allows teachers to turn off the chat mode in GM?
Hi - thanks for this. I work on a Mac on Safari. Is this an extension only for Chrome?
I tried it, and it worked.
Hi Olga, I'm so glad to hear this worked for you!

How do you get the 'you are presenting' logo and words to not occupy the whole Grid portion?
Will this also allow my students to still see me while I'm presenting?
Life saver !

Thank you :)
Thank you very much
Really helpful. For me
hi!, suppose can this feature be used by a participant other than the host, if he has to share screen?
I will try it out.
I hope it works well for you. I know it's been a huge time saver for me!
What do do in case you want to run presentation mode of ppt
Thanks :D
Thank you,
If we are using the extension in that case while presenting not able to change the slide with both the screen and If we try to change in that case it only shows the presentation screen

Sir, students can view both screens or presentation screen alone? Kindly clarify this. Thanks in advance. Is it possible to make students able to presentation screen alone?
So you can’t use the present option with the google slide using this extension?
This is great. Is there a way to present my Smart Notebook which is not a window or tab on top and still see my students?
What is the link to buy dualles extension?
Mucho gracias
google chrome keeps crashing when i click on dualless to split the screen! Anybody facing the issue ?
Thanks so much for this! I was having trouble using Tab Scissors and Tab Glue but found this far more straight-forward!

@@DanSpada Thank you so much.
What about presenting slides containing animations in slideshow mode...As animation doesn't run in normal mode

Can it be possible on Android mobile too

I mean... yeah :P
Is teachers can assignments through google meet?

Hi Dan, this is a fabulous idea but I cannot get it to work no matter what I do. Can you help me figure it out?
How about if you are presenting using powerpoint presentation?

I don't think you're correct by saying that you can select present entire screen. If you do so, students can see all the splitting screen same as presenter's screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, thank you.
However, you shared a Google Docs presentation (similar to PowerPoint). How do I share a pdf, Word, Excel, or PPT using Dualless?
Is there a way for students to HEAR the screen you present, if you wanted to play a video?
If that little checkbox doesn't work you can try this:
On your computer
1. Go to Sound Control Panel
2. Click on the Recording tab
3. Right click on the Stereo Mix Audio HD
4. Click on Enable
Try it on Google Meet
1. Go to settings
2. Click on the Audio tab
3. Set your Microphone to Stereo Mix Audio HD
It's a bit more complicated than the checkbox, but that should work as well.

Thank you so much for your question.
The EdTech Show what check box?? I didn’t know there was something to check to switch the audio when playing a video. I always did it the way you explained.
How do I present the slides in fullscreen and still see my participants' windows/webcams? Not possible I think.
Yikes that’s was a lot. I’ll have to watch this a couple of times. I’m going to have to do this for home bound students.
If u go for the option 'Present a chrome tab', it will work even better coz the slide can be presented in fullscreen
That's a really great tip Afrah. I had been taking the URL and replacing /edit with /preview!
What will happen if we present chrome tab ??
It also allows the students to hear the audio (in case you are sharing a UA-cam Video, for example)
