I've used Jamboard for my students to create posters about historical figures we study. I then used their slides as the wallpaper for my interactive board. The kids who made them were excited to see their work and the kids who didn't study that particular person learned about the individual by reading my wallpaper.
I'm taking a Project Management course, and one of my classmates used Jam Board for a workflow board project. Excited to use Jam Board, and learn more about google suite products as I go along. Thanks for the tutorial!

I use it as a digital vision board and I use it to organize my to do list with the stick notes. I move my tasks round in order of importance. When I finish the task I move it to the other side of the board or delete it if it is not a task that I do daily.
Outstanding job! I have never heard of this featured an I just started an adjunct position and this feature is being used. This video helped me understand how to use it effectively.
My 2nd graders got such a kick out of being able to underline a text simultaneously! Bonus points that admin visited our Classroom during the lesson. 😉

Hi Shamim, I believe you can have up to 50 working on one Jamboard at a time. Yes, you can create as many different pages or boards as you'd like so each student can be working on their own board within one file.
Hi I teach maths online using zoom and one note and I share my screen and use i pen to write as a pen.That is very easy but only issue is I can't see students work and can't have different screen for students.Cab that be solved in Google jamboard? Please advice.
Hi! I saw that writing recognition is available but I don't seem to find the feature in Jamboard to make it work. I have a touch screen computer so it would make it super clear for my students if I used it. The mouse of my finger on the screen don't do a very good job!! Is there any way to change the stacking order of the sticky notes and/or imported pictures? I'm using Jamboard with Google Meet for teletherapy and want to create games such as removing shapes to reveal a picture or use the sticky notes in place of dice for a board game (think CandyLand) but can't figure out how to get the pictures to stack in the correct order.
Hi. I tried JamBoard today with my students and those who were using their smartphones had a lot of trouble accessing the JamBoard with the link I sent. The message a lot of kids got was that the file was inaccessible. But those who opened it on their computers had no problem accessing it. Is it not compatible with smartphones?
Hey Luis thanks for reaching out. Were the students using the regular mobile browser or did they download the actual Jamboard Mobile App? I know in the past I had students have issue when trying to use Jamboard in their Chrome browser on their phones, but have had a lot more success using the actual Jamboard App. Let me know and we'll see if we can figure this out for you!

None of my students had the actual JamBoard app installed on their phones prior to me sending them this assignment yesterday for the first time (through google classroom). I never mentioned JamBoard to them at all previously because I just learned about it myself, so when I sent this assignment through google classroom I mentioned in the instructions what JamBoard is all about and how to use it (I even included your UA-cam video as a reference). So no, I’m almost positive they didn’t have the app. They most likely clicked on the link via their browser or google classroom app. Actually, I just clicked on the JamBoard link I sent them through my own google classroom app on my smartphone and the message that popped up right away was the same- Unsupported file type. And I don’t have the JamBoard app. But on my computer I can access that link easily
Hey Mike, that's a really great question. I haven't found a way to do that yet. Unfortunately as good as Jamboard is, it's still really limited for doing a lot of things. It's overdue for a big update, so I'm hoping we see things like this addressed. I'll let you know if I stumble across anything though!

Hey Luis, that's a great question about Google Classroom. I've never tried doing that, but when you create a new Jam, the URL at the top will end in /edit. Once you have the Jamboard the way you want it, if you change the settings to public, and copy the URL, but change /edit to /copy it will force whoever clicks on the link to create their own copy. I've done this many times, so it should work for you and your students too! If it doesn't for some reason let me know and I'll see if we can figure out why.
Valeri Rankins Hi Valeri. Yes, I tried that and it worked. I actually didn’t make a copy for each student purposely because I decided to have them all write on one board and it came out great because they were responding to each other. But in the future, if I do want them to edit their own JamBoards I’ll make a copy for each student. Thanks for the reply
just purchased a jamboard kiosk for my company and it doesn't have any other apps on it , it defaults to the whiteboard, is there a way to sign into my admin account
Hi Sonya, yes when you go to attach a document, you can select the Google Drive icon and find your Jamboard in there and attach it. If you need any help, let me know!
Hi Raineynight, students should be able to access Jamboard from the app menu or by going to jamboard.google.com. I don't believe it is on by default in the Google Admin controls, so someone from the tech department may have to give students access.

@@DanSpada It worked ok for a first try... our main problem is that when there's something new MOST of the students are very wary to give it a go. The next time I'm going to use 2 students to a 'slide' on Jamboard, as 4 went overboard... literally. Also perhaps working with a smaller group may have been wiser... my trial class were 19 students in the 3rd hour online.

I love Jamboard because it is similar to an active inspire flipchart. I am having trouble though as I feel Jamboard doesnt have some of the amenities that AI does. Im trying to make a drag and drop board, but when moving my counters to the image of my ten frame, the counters are hidden behind the image of ten frame. any ideas?
The potential in this program is frustrating. There are some simple, and somewhat obvious features that would dramatically enhance this program. It could be user error though because i just started using it. The first is the ability to enlarge the size of the board. It fills up fast, and limits what can be displayed. The second, they should label the board pages to match the individual board names. Then when toggling through boards, you can easily select the correct board. The third would be the ability to hyperlink text or photos. With this feature, you could essential create a dashboard to track and trace certain files that are related to a topic. Fourth would be more function on the sticky note. It doesn't allow enter to drop to a new line. It's just a run on sentence. Even better if you could change specific colors of specific words. Fifth would be huge to have a search feature that would search just one board, or the option of searching all boards. Final is more advanced, but not as relevant to most. But it would be cool to have a user lockbox that a specific user can trace around specific content that would freeze the content from modifications from other users. This would protect specific data, and still allow other users to continue the collaboration of boards. It's simplicity is extremely powerful, so without over complicating things, I think some of the above would be huge for the end user, yet maintain the intended simplicity of user interface. If you like these ideas, pass these around, maybe Google will hear us!

Hi Maria, short of just copying and pasting a URL, I don't believe there is any way to add direct links into the sticky notes. There are a few features like that I'd love them to add, and now that so many more people are using Jamboard, I'm hoping they keep updating it!

Yes I feel it engages the students more than the normal text book. You can also try and create digital posters.

Assign each student a number slide. You will know who is working on slide 15 for example but others won't.

It's simplicity is extremely powerful, so without over complicating things, I think some of the above would be huge for the end user, yet maintain the intended simplicity of user interface. If you like these ideas, pass these around, maybe Google will hear us!
If you haven't done so already, you should send this feedback to google. You can do so from within jamboard under "more actions"

Is there any way to make the font smaller in the sticky notes?
I don't believe there is. So far the only way I've been able to do that is to shrink the note.
Can you add links onto your sticky notes?
Hi Maria, short of just copying and pasting a URL, I don't believe there is any way to add direct links into the sticky notes. There are a few features like that I'd love them to add, and now that so many more people are using Jamboard, I'm hoping they keep updating it!

Use the Present feature in Google Meet and then open up Jamboard. Those in the meet with you will see your Jam.
