I'll just set it on sensitive with peanut butter smashed really good all over the bait spot. Ive also used marshmallow whip and thats amazing but its more tedious. These are the 2 baits that mice can't get off of the trap and they are absolutely drawn to them(nuts/sweets). So you don't get robbed. Well long as you place the traps right lol
@@mindsharping I got snapped rat in a box-victor trap with rotten turkey meat. I noticed that one were going around my bbq so I put meat and it worked, not with mice though...
I use tootsie rolls ...don't need wire at all ...just warm it in your fingers make it easier to mash into the crevices of the trip piece.

For a moment I thought I was listening to Mr Plinkett.
that is why the smart-ass mouse never gets trapped and the cheese is gone too.
I just put cheese on the end of the metal trigger and I alway catch a mouse
The in the thumbnail I thought you glued a plastic holloween spider to the trigger
"holloween"
Ive experimented catching norway rats in my garage. Skip peanut butter. Doesnt work. I used dog kibble and they love that stuff.
Grape jelly!!!
As long as the neighbor's chihuahua doesn't visit! (Also experiment with chicken bone. It also works OK.)

Peanut butter does to work. I've killed like 20 mice with it lol. Marshmallow whip is the absolute best(comes in a jar like Peanut butter)
I tie a walnut half onto the trigger with dental floss. Little bugger has to fight with it to get it off and whamo!
I need an expert opinion. Which is messier catching a mouse in a rat trap or catching a rat in a mouse trap?
Well a mouse will have trouble dragging that big trap around ...
@@tacomoneycom4181 especially since it was cut in half. Guts everywhere.
Can you modify a mouse trap to catch a rat?
You shouldn't need to do that as you can just buy the "Victor's Rat trap" instead of the smaller "Victor's Mouse trap" if you need to catch a rat.
Smart idea! 👍
thanks, I'm going to try this.
I use good old reliable peanut butter. I caught one earlier.
Thank You, Victor Mouse Trap!
I'll try it!
Interesting choice algorithm
