There needs to be a serious investigation into Liz Tuss’s financials during the “mini budget” fiasco along with all her friends working in the financial markets… there are people who made millions “gambling” on the pound dropping like a stone against the dollar and euro. Whilst we the people now are suffering with increased mortgage rates, people in the know became multi millionaires!!!

Agreed. Kwasi Kwarteng was partying with several hedge-fund managers when the pound collapsed. He was also under investigation by the Financial Crime team before being made Chancellor. Jacob Rees- Mogg should be under investigation as well. His hedgefund company was losing money hand over fist before Brexit because he's not as clever as he thinks he is. By supporting Brexit and betting on the pound plummeting he wiped out 2/3rds of his company's losses in one fell swoop. He also picked up a cool £7M for himself and bought a £5M mansion. I suspect after Liz crashing the pound again his company is back in the black and he has made at least as much again personally. Such a clear conflict of interest wouldn't be allowed in any other profession so why do we allow it for Government Ministers? Other examples of conflicts of Interest are: - Liz Truss and Shell and her decision to make the taxpayer, rather than energy companies making record profits, pay for her energy cap. I can see her getting a non executive position with a fossil fuel company where she recieves a huge salary for doing sweet FA soon. - Jeremy Hunt whilst Health Minister having investments in private health care companies that he gave NHS contracts to. He also received a £40M 'donation' from them. N.B. They're not donations, they're bribes. - George Osborne cutting subsidies for renewables, but keeping them for fossil fuels and nuclear, just as renewables were about to become cheaper than fossil fuels. His father-in-law, Lord Howell works for the fossil fuel lobby. The whole lot are corrupt and rotten to the core.

There are always people unhappy with the stautus-quo. So you try and stir them up to make trouble. You can do this in several ways: Send in agents provocateur, distribute proaganda, give them funding, arms, etc. Done well this causes chaos and division weakening the other country. Additionally they're so busy sorting out the mess that they're not paying as much attention to what you're doing. A great time to do something they'd object to, like invading a neighbour. When Putin was in the KGB he was stationed in West Germany in charge of a section who's specialty was stirring up right-wing groups and neo-nazis. Since Putin came to power right wing groups have suddenly increased in popularity all round the West. Many of the leaders such as France's Le Pen and Aaron Banks who funded the Brexit campaign have proven links to Putin and his chums. Putin doesn't care what these right wing groups believe in. They're just useful idiots to cause chaos. GCHQ found over 400 Russian social media accounts churning out pro Brexit propaganda. Trump also has links. He received huge loans from Deutsch Bank when every other bank had turned him down as a bad risk despite him previously defaulting on a much smaller loan from them. Deutsch Bank have been found guilty of laundering huge amounts of Russian money and a hidden message line was found connecting the bank and Russia. Le Pen and numerous others also have links with Putin. He's believed to be behind a coup attempt in the Balkans and evidence strongly suggests he's interferred with elections throughout the West. To summarise: 1) Putin supported Trump knowing he'd cause chaos and would weaken Russia's strongest enemy. 2) Supported Brexit which has divided the country, caused chaos and seriously weakened the US's closest ally. It also removed the UK from the EU weakening both. 3) There has been an upsurge of far right support in other key NATO states like France, Sweden and Italy. 4) With chaos in the West Putin then invades Ukraine. To me all this is obvious, it's a strategy used throughout history, yet nobody is talking about it. Not our media or our governments.
Is it all that much of a tragedy though? Sure it would be nice to actually have some direction and leadership but the daily work of government is structured to not actually need any leadership for quite a while. It may even be better for a while, it probably wouldn't be worse. Of course the boondoggles and quangos also keep on but they were put there by the leadership in the first place. Supposedly the leader has a function 'The buck stops here' but most of the bucks actually go elsewhere.

My honest viewpoint all politics these days is way to ideological and because of that becomes impossible to be useful to the masses. When the Tories got power in 2010 there was a noticeable drop in competence and professionalism compared to the Labour days (remember when calling a random (bigotted) person a bigot killed your career?). But even Cameron was way up on what we have seen over the last 6 years. May had some integrity, even if 'Brexit means Brexit' was just about the most ridiculous and meaningless catchphrase ever, but the gov decesended into chaos then. Now we have Sunak, who is likely to bring back competence, people are so relieved to have someone who knows which way is up and at least have the decency to keep his mouthshut rather than deny facts, that, for now, policies don't even matter!

There needs to be a serious investigation into Liz Tuss’s financials during the “mini budget” fiasco along with all her friends working in the financial markets… there are people who made millions “gambling” on the pound dropping like a stone against the dollar and euro. Whilst we the people now are suffering with increased mortgage rates, people in the know became multi millionaires!!!

Agreed. Kwasi Kwarteng was partying with several hedge-fund managers when the pound collapsed. He was also under investigation by the Financial Crime team before being made Chancellor. Jacob Rees- Mogg should be under investigation as well.
His hedgefund company was losing money hand over fist before Brexit because he's not as clever as he thinks he is.
By supporting Brexit and betting on the pound plummeting he wiped out 2/3rds of his company's losses in one fell swoop. He also picked up a cool £7M for himself and bought a £5M mansion.
I suspect after Liz crashing the pound again his company is back in the black and he has made at least as much again personally.
Such a clear conflict of interest wouldn't be allowed in any other profession so why do we allow it for Government Ministers?
Other examples of conflicts of Interest are:
- Liz Truss and Shell and her decision to make the taxpayer, rather than energy companies making record profits, pay for her energy cap. I can see her getting a non executive position with a fossil fuel company where she recieves a huge salary for doing sweet FA soon.
- Jeremy Hunt whilst Health Minister having investments in private health care companies that he gave NHS contracts to. He also received a £40M 'donation' from them.
N.B. They're not donations, they're bribes.
- George Osborne cutting subsidies for renewables, but keeping them for fossil fuels and nuclear, just as renewables were about to become cheaper than fossil fuels. His father-in-law, Lord Howell works for the fossil fuel lobby.
The whole lot are corrupt and rotten to the core.

Putin has a fair amount to do with it. He's using the very old, but effective tactic of encouraging chaos in rival/enemy countries.
It goes like this. There are always people unhappy with the stautus-quo. So you try and stir them up to make trouble.
You can do this in several ways: Send in agents provocateur, distribute proaganda, give them funding, arms, etc. Done well this causes chaos and division weakening the other country.
Additionally they're so busy sorting out the mess that they're not paying as much attention to what you're doing. A great time to do something they'd object to, like invading a neighbour.
When Putin was in the KGB he was stationed in West Germany in charge of a section who's specialty was stirring up right-wing groups and neo-nazis.
Since Putin came to power right wing groups have suddenly increased in popularity all round the West. Many of the leaders such as France's Le Pen and Aaron Banks who funded the Brexit campaign have proven links to Putin and his chums.
Putin doesn't care what these right wing groups believe in. They're just useful idiots to cause chaos.
GCHQ found over 400 Russian social media accounts churning out pro Brexit propaganda.
Trump also has links. He received huge loans from Deutsch Bank when every other bank had turned him down as a bad risk despite him previously defaulting on a much smaller loan from them. Deutsch Bank have been found guilty of laundering huge amounts of Russian money and a hidden message line was found connecting the bank and Russia.
Le Pen and numerous others also have links with Putin. He's believed to be behind a coup attempt in the Balkans and evidence strongly suggests he's interferred with elections throughout the West.
To summarise:
1) Putin supported Trump knowing he'd cause chaos and would weaken Russia's strongest enemy.
2) Supported Brexit which has divided the country, caused chaos and seriously weakened the US's closest ally. It also removed the UK from the EU weakening both.
3) There has been an upsurge of far right support in other key NATO states like France, Sweden and Italy.
4) With chaos in the West Putin then invades Ukraine.
To me all this is obvious, it's a strategy used throughout history, yet nobody is talking about it. Not our media or our governments.
Look up world economic forum. Look at who their young global leaders are. See the coralation.
Is it all that much of a tragedy though? Sure it would be nice to actually have some direction and leadership but the daily work of government is structured to not actually need any leadership for quite a while.
It may even be better for a while, it probably wouldn't be worse.
Of course the boondoggles and quangos also keep on but they were put there by the leadership in the first place.
Supposedly the leader has a function 'The buck stops here' but most of the bucks actually go elsewhere.
