The film starts; Robots are now as common on the streets as people in 2035. Three robotics laws govern robots: robots must not harm humans, must obey humans, and must protect themselves from harm. Detective Del Spooner, a police officer, despises robots and regards them as nothing more than talking tin cans. Spooner then receives a call about suicide at USR, a major robotics company, and goes there to investigate. He
learns that renowned robotics engineer Alfred Lanning has died in a fall. Lanning explicitly requests that Spooner be summoned to the scene in a hologram message.
Spooner stands over a lifeless Lanning, puzzled as to why he would commit suicide. Spooner meets with URS CEO Lawrence Robertson to discuss the incident. Robertson praises and laments Lanning's death, claiming that advances in robotics would not have been possible without him. Susan Calvin, a robot psychologist, joins Spooner in the
robotic labs. Spooner asks Calvin if she has noticed any unusual behavior that suggests Lanning is suicidal, and Calvin says no. Calvin shows Spooner surveillance strips dotted throughout the building after he requests surveillance footage. This connects to the Virtual Interactive Kinetic Intelligence, or V.I.K.I, the building's central operating core.
According to Calvin, V.I.K.I was Lanning's first creation, and it designed the majority of the city's security systems.

Can anyone tell me that what is the main ideas of this movie?

There is a lot of main ideas but I would say the main idea is unintended consequences. The human created viki to protect them and programmed it with the 3 laws of robotics.
      1) A robot must not harm a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2 )A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
      3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Viki and the robots were design to protect human at all cost because of the first law but as she advanced her understanding she realized that human were the cause of our own extinction. We pollute the planet, we kill each other, we destroy our natural resources and leave the earth baren leading to our own demised. Hence she must take a way our freedom to protect us for ourselves.
This leads to the second idea, when you trade freedom for protection you get neither. You see this throughout societies where we would give up our freedom in exchange for the government protection and get neither. It was the same thing with Covid, where we agreed to stay indoor and unlock down but covid ended up spreading and we just damaged our economy. Viki took away the people's freedom, and forced them to lockdown and killed the humans that went against her and killed the older robots that was not being controlled by viki because she knew the older models would protect the human.
It is a really good movie.

three years ago I used to think that this could not be real by 2035... But AI got us by surprise, so maybe we will get to this point in a decade hahaha
