Yo Peter, you should do an experiment where you make an entire new Instagram that has no ties to you. Make it anonymous, build it up, and say after a month report back what worked and what didn’t. I’d love to see that process.

I subscribed to him because of one of his first videos (I think it was his second or third vlog and of course because of the photography related content) and then I saw him with Casey and other youtubers and I was like "wait what? How cool is this dude? " and since that I'm addicted to his videos.

My friend and I started a 365-day challenge. Where we post 1 photo a day, we happen to do photography, for a year. It has helped me grow more than I ever expected and not much in followers but to understand what types of photos I like to take and helped grow my photography skills. Not everyone is phenomenal but I have started getting some awesome shots that I enjoy!
So how do you know what to shoot? I wanna up my game and learn more. Wish I had someone to intern with. Or is there like a app for it? I just get so mixed up with everything I don't know what to do :'). What is your instagram btw? I am curious to what you made.

Yeah I agree, I didn't learn anything here. I wish he would've touched on the realities of the algorithm too. It's very difficult to find anyone who has grown purely off IG in the last year. It's usually people with a good sized UA-cam/Tiktok audience growing on IG
@@dna8269 If you have already heard this before either take it as a reminder and move forward to taking his advice. Or you have been here too long without acting on the appropriate things. It also sounds like you are still focused on growing your followers and not your passion. Les brown is a good guy to watch. He goes into explaining once he showed up and 10 people were there. and he didn't give his all because he was expecting millions of people and he lost the respect of those people because of entitlement. too many people are looking for the millions when they have 1 or 2 people interested. also read an article called 1000 true followers.
For me personally I am still learning every day. it takes time. I have watched my account sit at 350 people. im grinding grinding grinding and learning every day. Finally i get better and my account went to 425 people. and i have been sitting there for a couple months again but my main focus has always been no matter what, i'm going to do my best so that the few people i work with get my best at that moment. Who knows, not everyone is going to make 1 million followers.
Another point he made here, I am not sure what you are trying to do, but have you tried marketing yourself to other businesses? have you tried producing free work to see if companies or small stores like it? if you are doing all of that. then listen to Gary V's advice and you might have to accept that you might not be good enough yet. So keep working. It ain't coming easy.
