    Really enjoying your videos. We are from the UK and lived in Tokyo from 2020 to 2022. Lots of familiar spots. Have you or do you ever run around Komazawa Park?

      Oh awesome, I still need to explore lots of parts of Tokyo - it’s just too big! It’s a bit far to get to Komazawa park from mine but I’ve defo gotta check it out at some point

    Have you come across Yuki Kawauchi yet? I believe he trains and lives in Saitama but...if you meet him you have to make a video about meeting the legend! Love your videos man and enjoy following your bonkers-level training on Strava. Remember - head lamp is a must!! 🔦

      A couple times a week (I showed my stretching routine in my 2nd vid on this channel) but I put more of an emphasis on S&C, core and plyometrics

    Another BANGER! I recently started running again, doing a couch 2 5k. Biggest problem is every time i pick up the pace my somewhere in my left abdomen starts cramping up! Wondering if you have any advice for that

      Hmm could be a fuelling/nutrition thing? Either dehydration (that’s caused me abdominal pain before) or eating too close to running? Do you run in the morning or evening and are you eating before?

    Do you do strength training for your calves? Do you think that would help? Might be worth it to see a physio about it if you haven't already. 🤔

      Yeah non-stop S&C and regular physio, as I said I’ve tried it all! Seems to be going well at the moment so maybe getting somewhere

      Don’t use protein, find it messes up my stomach so just stick to natural sources. The supplements I take are vit c & d, fish oil and magnesium

    Great content! Have you ever tried yokan, the sweet red paste jelly? Many Japanese endurance athletes swear by it. It's dirt cheap (esp. in supermarkets), packs a bunch of calories (mostly carbs, but some protein too), and is super light.
    By the way, if you ever come to Osaka, I can suggest some routes, even if I'm mostly a trail runner (and slow AF).

      Actually don’t think I’ve had that, I’m a big fan of red bean tho I’ll give it a go for sure. Sounds like a perfect pre-run carb boost! I ran around Osaka castle and the nearby river before but yeah I’d defo back a trail route next time 🔥
