The whole concept of a futuristic Hyrule gives me heavy vibes on A Link to The Past's concept art
yessss ALTTP had some great artwork
A Link to the Future has to be made. Past, Between Worlds and Future would then become a trilogy set in the same Hyrule.
That SCARES ME
You here?
I really like the idea of sneaking being more complex in a future Zelda game with enemies being able to spot footprints and other stuff like that. And I really do want a game to tell the story of the first calamity, that would be awesome. These were some pretty cool ideas, I hope Nintendo uses some of them someday.
Thanks, we should send them requests XD
@@Zeldom Sneaking past guardians in Central Hyrule Field in BOTW makes me grateful for playing MGS games for all those years lol. Its so fun.
There have always been areas in Zelda games where sneaking is either required or at least recommended. I’m not certain if they should make a title based entirely around that type of gameplay since what most people like about Zelda is the constant sword fighting and puzzle solving. What I liked about BotW was that they gave players the option to sneak through the whole thing if they really wanted to, though, through the use of gear and potions and the new sneaking feature. 🤔
I would love a Zelda game where for once, we don't play as a link, but someone else, possibly Misko the Bandit? But anyways, we basically have to sneak around Hyrule accomplishing some goal that affects the future. Taking place right after the calamity.
I really loved the concept, and I must say that title, "Cloak of Shadows" gives me the chills, good chills that is lol.
For the sidequests I would love a MM/SS style, let the sidequests be sidequests but also much more personal and emotion based, so that they become memorable. Great vid Zeldom!
thx :)
This is definitely a Zelda game I would 100% if it were really
glad you like the idea :)
Yeah I really like
This actually made me realize how convoluted the Calamity Ganon is. Like, how many times did it occur before the Sheikah developed their technology to combat it? Heck, does OoT-Ganondorf's countless returns and reincarnations also count as the Calamity?
Invisibility Cloak lets you harass Cukoo Chickens all you want without having to face thsir onslaught
Perfect use for it!
They smell blood and fear
Imo I think eventually they’ll release “classic” Zelda games. I wouldn’t doubt we’d get that classic Zelda experience in a smaller game. Something like Between Worlds, Links Awakening, etc. I would like that.
Great video btw I liked the concept a lot
thx, I'd like that too :)
Interesting concept! I'm sure this has been done in many other franchises, but I'd like the idea of half way into the game you get an augment for the cloak that allows you to dive into shadows and essentially swim in them, even up walls and ceilings (movement would be similar to being in ink in Splatoon). Not only would this increase movement options but puzzle capabilities as well. You could even go a step further and allow Link to dive into and through elements with the use of upgradable sheikah stones that affix themselves to the cloak. You could then dive into things like electrical currents, fire walls, and waterfalls (obviously he could already do waterfalls) but while being ethereal and having full control of motion.
Much more interesting than just a stealth mechanic, nice 👍🏼
Did you know that in A Link to the Past there is an item called the magic cape that grants you invisibility while draining magic from your magic meter?
Yeah, but it's kinda weird bc it's not so much invisibility because it also allows you to move over spikes without being harmed so it's something even more than that 🤔
@@Zeldom I am pretty sure mobs (especially hylian guards who runs at you on sight) don’t see you while invisible. Anyway great video. I am actually wishing in BotW2 we get to see Hyrule of 10 000 years ago.
Love that concept sm 👏💯
Thx NebulAss 😜
I follow you on insta
I miss linear Zelda. That was one of the things that made it Zelda to me. I love breath of the Wild, don't get me wrong. Just a way I'm feeling
I feel the exact same way
Ironically Zelda was never intended to be linear. I’ll admit some of my most favorite Zelda games are pretty linear.
I mean, a lot of the games have open world elements to them, but if you think about it, every game up to BOTW had "you do this, then this, then this, and that's how the story goes"
@@Cheddarcheesemonkey I understand how you would think that. There are ways to mix up the order of how you beat certain games though. However most games require doing something like entering a dungeon, getting the dungeon item then leaving to do another dungeon instead, even then some games still don’t have that feature. The one major exception is the original game where most dungeons don’t need dungeon items to enter. The first game is also the inspiration for Breath of the Wild’s open world.
@@calebgoodman2076 I mean, I didn't get that out of OoT, WW, or TP, but I haven't played all of the games so I would be hard pressed to call myself an expert. Either way, it's farther from the free-form, open world style we have now, even if that's more like the original. And I liked that aspect of it. I was intrigued by following Link's story
1 of the main reasons I love the Zelda franchise is the lore. Have you seen how SKyward sword connects to most of the zelda games? even games like A link to the past.
Yes, yes I have. The joke at the beginning was to reference some of the plotholes that appear in the series, but we still love it regardless.
I'm going with something similar ish in my Zelda comic where my link....one of them, was a security officer protecting the Sheikah R&D department that was making thr Divine beasts and other tech. This will lead to my main Link having access to all sorts of tech long forgotten about.
The legend of Zelda: Hitman
This mix of open world with locked away key areas would be a great compromise.
And then people would still rip the game apart for not being a carbon copy of Ocarina of time.
true 😂
I dunno, the "open world with locked key areas" kinda just sounds like what earlier 3D Zelda games did, where you could go to any unlocked area, but only the one place you're supposed to go to at that moment would be worth your while since that's where there's main game and progress-relevant stuff to be done. Which made exploring areas other than the one you're supposed to be in kinda lame and ultimately pointless. Think going to Zora's Domain in Ocarina at any point OTHER than to complete Jabu Jabu's Belly and the Water Temple quests. Pretty boring, right?
I like the idea, but I really just don't think that there is a compromise between open-world and linear design.
Though I agree the Zelda Hitman stuff is absolutely great, I'd really love to see that in the next game
@@adammaher403 The difference to older games would be, that the open areas are not completely empty. The reason that, for example, Hyrule field in Oot or TP is so boring to explore, is because there's just nothing to do or see. So just think Oot or Tp but Zoras domain is locked away until you progressed far enough and Hyrule field is actually interesting enough to be worth exploring for a couple hours. And once you unlocked the next place it is also more than just a small area with nothing more than the main-quest and 2-3 side-quests in it.
@@Tatokat that could certainly work, and would be really interesting to see pulled off.
This is just making me even more eager for news on the BotW sequel lol, I can't wait to see what it's like/where they take the series from here
Me: sees video titled "Conceptualizing the Perfect Zelda Game"
Also me: alright, lemme get my red pen
This really sounds like a amazing concept for a Zelda game
I love your idea for the story! That alone would probably make this one of my top 10 Zelda games, especially with the twist final dungeon/boss.
The Cloak of Shadows sounds like a really fun item, but I don't know that I would want every dungeon to revolve around stealth. It might make them feel somewhat slow and repetitive. But I think having the Cloak as an option that gives you different ways to approach situations is a really cool idea.
Yeah I don't think it should be overused in every dungeon, but make it be a reoccurring mechanic, sort of like Wolf Link in Twilight Princess
Such an epic idea, personally I don’t like the stealth sections in any games but if this was real I’m sure it would be well developed 😁
I get that, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think what i have in mind would make for a cool mechanic if it's used as utility like Wolf Link
@@Zeldom It's definitely a cool concept, I'm just torn because I love the skeikah and being an epic ninja, but the yiga clan hideout straight up gives me a heart attack every time, rarely have I felt such anxiety in a game XD
Kinda would be Metal Gear Zelda. Playing stealth is frustrating at first but gets really fun when you try to ghost missions leaving no trails and committing no violence.
I always thought it’d be interesting to see an antagonistic faction of the skeikah Who wanted to break away from Hyrule’s royal family. Perhaps they felt they had to purpose outside of that. These would be unlike the Yiga, Who aligned themselves with Ganon.
An amazing idea, I would definitely love to play that game. The idea with the Cloak, that Link is Impas apprentice and the story is so good!
Thx :)
I love the artwork of Link in the thumbnail!
Ideas for the phony open world:
1. Make dungeon areas technically accessible, just incredibly difficult until later progression. Maybe even allowing alternate dialogue in the story for completing dungeons out of order. This will reward good players and not take away from the casual experience.
2. Have the final Yiga hideout hidden in plain sight. Kind of like the temples in oot being in places you visited as a child, maybe have the Yiga hideout in an inaccessible area of Hyrule castle town, or something.
3. Have the emphasis on stealth integrated into the dungeon areas. Maybe the cloak of shadows is a midgame item, which makes dungeon areas easier but also allows the early access harder and rewarding as I mentioned.
4. Bridge of Eldin being in the game, because the Bridge of Eldin is the coolest location in all of Zelda!
While I liked the concept, what you suggested for the open world would just make this Zelda be another generic Ubi game. Linearity does make storytelling a lot easier but plot can't come over gameplay. I can't help but feel this game would be a step back for the franchise, but very interesting as a side game
I respectfully disagree on a matter of opinion. As much as I enjoyed Breath of the Wild, I still didnt those huge dopamine rushes like I had while playing the "linear" games like Skyward Sword and Twilight. If anything Botw made me realize plot also cant be sacrificed for gameplay
Dang and no reference to the Zonai ?
Personally, I'd prefer a darker, Medieval Zelda game among the lines of OoT and TP but overall more realistic but your idea sounds pretty cool too.
Another cool mechanic you could add to the stealth is the cloak of shadows can meld with an enemy’s shadow, allowing you to use items on the person to unlock doors or to become unsuspecting.
Concept is definitely interesting. The cloak would probably be better looking a lot more like Impa's with a hood. That way it definitely would more visually engaging, then alternate BoTW hood as well as it could be incorporated into links fighting style as side cloaks have been in combat before as a makeshift shield, "whip" and could even be used with skills like giving Link a hidden quick draw attack to get past the enemies guard as they wouldn't be able to track his hands
Yoooo this was so good though. I would legit play this. I appreciate how much thought you put into everything!
I appreciate that!
The idea of a stealth-focused game is really cool and I think it would be interesting if you could only mask one or two senses at a time. There may be enemies that are blind or deaf but have really good senses of smell, for example, or you have to cross a spider web without causing vibrations that alert the spider in the middle. It requires knowing each enemy well and also ensuring that you know who or what is in your surroundings since you need to see them before they can see you.
This is great! I loved these ideas!
Thank you!! 😊
I love your videos I discovered your channle from the Links loves series and I just started to watch more your doing a great job
Awesome! Thank you!
Same
I like the idea. I came up with “Wake of Calamity” as a title I liked also. Keep up the good work
Reminds me a little of the valley of the flood rumor from back then
Ohhhh I love the gameplay and battle concepts
Since sheikah tech is common, you could earn a small robot companion to follow you and dust your tracks. Partly to gain access to areas that were previously un-sneakable and as an incentive to improve the skill.
I love your concept. And I would go straight for my wallet if this ever hit the stores😤👍
lol thx XD
I find the idea of the invisible cloak as an item pretty cool, but what interest to me most is how it will affect certain aspects of the game. An example would be when using it in a cold snow region. The cloak (or cape) would eventually become visible due to the accumulation of snowflakes, making you noticeable to enemies or NPCs. It would also allow others see footprints being created out if nowhere, which could scare them.
Another aspect would be the Dessert area, and anywhere where is raining. The possibilities are endless!
If we're gonna have a futuristic Zelda, I want to see a Space Temple, where Link needs a special tunic for breathing in space, and puzzles where he has to change the gravity.
This was actually really amazing..
You should try to had this developed into a full fledged Mod for BOTW
As a lifelong Zelda fan who also enjoys Assassins Creed, I would absolutely play the shit out of a stealth-heavy Zelda game. Incorporating the shadow cloak with some of the “hidden skills” would also be dope… Just imagine a move where an enemy is about to strike and Link activates the cloak, swiftly rotates his body while dodging the attack, and finishes with a fatal strike from behind the enemy’s back - all within like 2 seconds of in-game time.
Another thought: Perhaps there could be “stealth zones” similar to Metroid Dread’s EMMI zones, up to and including the side-scrolling view.
Just found your channel, this sounds like a great game
I love the concept
I love how I found this video just over a month after I started writing a story that followed an incarnation of Link who was trained by the Sheikah.
I absolutely love this! I would play it
Nice job, I like it.
Nintendo is taking notes
They better XD
I like the idea of the cloak of shadows, but maybe alter it to make it more camouflage instead of just strait invisiblity. Like, if an enemy is looking at you and can't see you because of the cloak of shadows, if you move, it could get suspicious or it could realise your there.
I think a cool idea, could be like an alternate universe for BOTW or TOTK, so basically it's called "Legand of Zelda tragedy of a majesty" it's a little like yours with the sheikh (I did NOT spell that right) but a long time ago something happened to the sheikh people, maybe their empress went bad or something, so they had to flee their kingdom and hide in the shrines built for the empress you group gets on a raft and hide in that one shrine in the middle of the ocean, and they lived their for hundreds of thousands of years, until eventually, you were the only one left (for lore reasons) you were one of the many Sheikh warriors who wielded the guardian weapons, and were trained for years, The story will probably open with you waking up in your room, the shrine looks a little different since people carved rooms in the walls, it kind of looks like a messy apparent system. Your just living your daily life, training, While doing this we are introduced to "Lady Pasuchkah" a.k.A the only other living person down here, that morning she asks that you meet her in the front (where you would collect the spirit orb) she tells you that the world outside is in grave danger and "they need your help" before she dies and the place gets invaded by enemies, and just as you finish fighting all of them, your shield and sword breaks. The only thing your left with, is a single guardian you name Mel, mel slowly gets upgraded from the smallest guardian to the ones in Hyrule field. This takes place just after the first time ganon was defeated. Where link basically never exsisted, at least he wasn't hylian, eventually you find Zelda, and she sort of acts as your guide . and she wants to know everything she can about the old sheikh tech. And when you see the divine beasts you get a little confused why their called the divine beasts with these strange names, because you left as they were being built, your father showed you the blueprints, my plan is you could basically do that same thing by having a puzzle and boss fight and spirit, but you could actually be able to control it to defeat the boss, yea its a rough draft
Sometimes just being in the gaming community and hearing peoples ideas is better than any actual games to come out
how is liking the linearity unpopular? to me, the linearity, the lore and the storytelling isn't just what i like about zelda, it IS zelda
also, i love your game idea, would definitely play it. The stealth mission adds a totally new idea of "detection" that could change dungeon dynamics, and serve as a cool combat mechanic. Talking of combat mechanics, you are totally right: why did they discontinue sword skills? They made combat so much more interesting! Nintendo, take some damn notes
Idk, some people complain A LOT about linearity in Zelda games for whatever reason... I personally like it and think it really helps with the story. And just because we want linearity doesn't mean we don't love exploring a huge overworld too :)
The sheikah lore just needs more attention tbh so I love this
The whole open world gameplay and linear story is the GTA series. Maybe the game could work like a GTA game
perhaps :)
i think the best way to limit access to certain dungeons would be to have a large map (tears of the kingdom sized) and have map areas release during story missions, leaving you unable to safetly access certain parts of the map until then. for example, in totk if they used this, the blizzard surrounding rito village could have made the temperature as low as it could go, and used intense wind and snowfall to make it impossible to traverse by non rito. requiring you to get certian tools and armor through story missions.
Dude how have I not seen this
I really like the ideas you have, great work. I wish Nintendo actually listened to what the players want
yes
I want this to be a real game
I would 100% buy this
I hope stealth is optional most of the time but for example the enemies would be stronger than link so stealth becomes useful
I'd love a full blown RPG version of the game, something mature with deep dialogs, and compelling story. Somewhere to fill the holes in the lore and to know the main characters better. That would be great.
Can you do more Game Concepts? I find this fascinating.
I think you should do it tbh. Get a team of developers and programmers together and make this game even if it's a hack rom of a game or a smaller game.
I love ur idea it would be so cool if Nintendo would take in consideration this idea of urs
When It comes to side quests I had a idea for one I like to call "A hero's legacy" where Link finds a group of Hylians who have heroic potential but lack the confidence and training to be hero's. The quest would involve Link training these rookies into a team of hero's in there own right.
If the Sheikah were to have split around this time under the conditions you've outlined, it would give the loyal Sheikah far less of a "roll over and take it" vibe, return at least some of the dignity to the tribe as a whole that seems to not be there in BoTW with what little we know of the reasoning behind the grounding of the Sheikah tech. It would also throw an extra wrench in their works, having needed to seek outside help to handle what is essentially an internal matter when they have, for the most part, policed themselves. Over time, it might have contributed to the...softening? of the mystique surrounding them to the rest of Hyrule, and would make their...openness seen in BoTW make more sense. The hypothetical game's mechanic, could it be uh, turned off, while still being worn? Or would the player have to avoid certain plants, creatures or substances that might..."sip" on its abilities and/or durability? How would it be recharged/repaired? Would it be something Link obtains or would he be given instructions on how to craft it? If he would be given instructions on how to craft it, would he be the only character in possession of one? Sorry lol, I've got an unhealthy fascination with the Sheikah lol. Going to go crawl around among the rest of your videos.
Finally someone else that enjoys linearity in video games.
I feel so alone whenever I say I enjoy heavily story based games and don't really like open world games (BOTW exception). I like having a specific goal to work towards. When there's like 30+ side quests I get really overwhelmed and start to burn out because the last time I did something for the main campaign was two weeks ago and then realizing you've played for 20 hours and haven't progressed at all makes me feel exhausted. You might say, "well then ignore the side quests" but it's not that easy for a completionist.
Aw man this would be dope
My concept for a Zelda game would have you playing as Link,Zelda and Ganondorf allowing you to switch between them at any point.
Gameplay would follow the Fighter,Mage,Thief triangle Ganondorf would use his strength to push and move heavy objects Zelda would use magic of ice, fire and lightning to manipulate the environment and Link would be able to climb and reach places the other two can't.
Story wise it would have some kind of encroaching threat with Link and Zelda setting off to find the macguffins encountering the bandit/treasure hunter Ganondorf the three working together to get through the dungeons a focus would be put on the character interactions as Zelda and Ganondorf would often butt heads with Link responding according to the players inputs.
in my opinion this videos deserves a subscribe
I'd love a game revolving around the "Oath to Order". Maybe a world for example where different places, and temples and villages etc- all have "Wells" or "Tables" of Order. For example, Village A, is connected through the well of Order in Temple A. So the Hero needs to best the temple, which allows him access to "cleanse" this areas Well of Order, which would allow him functional access to village or area A. He can then go to the temple in any location and manipulate time in order to interact with certain side quests(Think Majoras Mask: Lovers Mask Quest). Once he does this, the hero can "Lock in" the state/timeline of the village/area by playing the "Oath to Order".
The possibilities are just so absurdly endless with a concept like this I feel. It's also a way to bring meaning, depth and personality to the NPCs of Hyrule, just like Majoras did - while blending that with the Grand Adventure of OOT.
You could make the game about "Keeping Promises" to different Characters, and the big promise is to "Fix" or bring back "Order" to Hyrule for Zelda.
Obviously our enemy here is a force of malevolent Chaos, and that could be anyone from big poppa 'Dorf to a more twisted sadistic enemy like Majora.
The Legend of Zelda: Oathkeeper.
Hero: Hero of Truth.
Enemy: Evil 4th dimensional(the dimension of "Time") entities.
Nice thumbnail
This sounds like a very good game that I probably would hate for purely subjective reasons. Then again, I've had fantastic games win me over even when the concept is the opposite to my usual tastes.
I would totally play this
But link would need to be a furry to be in that time because of TOTK
this whole concept is sick! tbe hidden abilities deff made combat fun. Twilight Princess for best combat play all day
[edit]= but im still hero of time team
That’s a really cool idea! If this became reality I would definitely buy it! I would love to know what role Zelda would play in the game. Like her relationship with Link, the sheika, if she shares the same personality and interests as botw Zelda. I would also like to know details about the Triforce and how it works in the game.
I’d play the hell out of this. I don’t like hack and slash mechanics too! I love the strategy of the fighting in BOTW.
Castle Town here kind of reminds me of the city in Jak 2.
I would take the Adventure of Link and try to make 3D. Horserace would be a mansion with a garden in the back surrounded by a hedge. Rebonack would be in a coliseum palace. Jermafenser would be in a swap arena coming out from the swamp. Carock would be in a maze where you would need the Lens of Truth and mirror shield. Gooma in a forest prison and a hammer and gloves could be used. Barba at the bottom of a volcano with a triforce island in the middle. Longshot and ice arrows could be used. The Golden Palace on top of the mountain on top of the roof of the palace with light arrows is how you would defeat Shadow Link.
I want this to be a full on game! Maybe switch ganon out for another villian, but this could be a legit series!
>What makes the Zelda games great?
IMO it's the overall "feeling," that is; the music, the artstyle/s (including animations) and actually also the lore too.
The ability to immerse: that is what makes this game peculiar, distinguished and amazing
I think Nintendo should start a new game series that branches off the Zelda and Hyrule Warriors series an Real Time Strategy(RTS) games series called maybe 'Battle For Hyrule"
A world map like that in "The Lord of The Rings Battle For Middle Earth Rise of The Witch King" the campaign a bit more open than that to past RTS games. Each battle last for the in game day night cycle, the battle can end early through defeat, retreat, or victory but if neither side wins the game records unit positions and status and takes you to the world map unless you have other battle to conduct. You first conduct each battle in like manner, then in the world map you make nations resources and military assets commands perhaps a battle needs reinforcements. Unlike in "The Lord of The Rings Battle For Middle Earth Rise of The Witch King" a territory does not have an army size cap, however your nation's army size is naturally limited to population and available resources.
The armies need to be very different yet balanced like that of Starcraft. Also like the Command & Conquer games structures should be capture-able, but unlike the command & conquer games captureing enemy structures does not give you the option to build their armies instead even better you can use these structure to pay for upgrades to makes your units have fewer weaknesses. For example if a bokoblin has a certain strength and weakness to the Hyrulean equivalant Hyrulean swordmans then Ganons forces captures a Hyrulean barracks the bokoblin can now be upgraded to have the strengths of the hyrulean swordsman and vise versa. This mechanic is not found in any RTS games as far as I know. Why not you ask? Probably mostly because it could make your troops op, that is why the upgrades must have a cost, also to capture a structure must take a lot of effort and resources to pull off. The pay off still must be worth having over powered units comprising your armies. In addition your armies have to be moved to the territories of the captured enemy structures for the upgrade to become available, in which in the world map you can upgrade all the units on or next to the capture territory with the captured enemy structures. In defense against this you can destroy all contents in a building or move them to new territories, when you need to retreat from a territory.
With a day night cycle the sun's position at certain hours benefits the armies with the sun on the backs shining into the eyes of their enemies. Rain should benefit Zora and lizalfos, snow benefits those who have warm clothing/armor equipped. Night benefits the Ganon's forces by having free additional solders the skeletons you can use as free cannon fodder, Day benefits Hyrulean forces by being more powerful in combat equal to Ganon's night benefit.
Resource gathering should be a cross between Age of Empires and other RTS games making the resource gathering more automatic than that of Age of Empires, however you can give the gatherers commands or you broadly say what percentage of each resource you need in which sometimes they respond saying need more structures for the wanted resources, in which instead they well focus on gathering extra resources needed for the needed structures. You can also select certain gatherers and have them change resources they gather or have them defend themselves or fall back to safety when under attack like Age of Empires.
Both sides should have their heroes units in which they should start off OP against any standard solder. The Heroes in the Lord of The Rings Battle For Earth the first of 3 in that series are a great example.
I have not had the opportunity to play the majority of RTS games out their therefore IF you are a RTS fan please respond with additional ideas.
I love RTS games. That would be fantastic. Also could you imagine an MMO like WoW but with Zelda?
@@Zeldom I think Nintendo do a compromise with modders. Modders who want to mod on for the switch should be allowed to submit their mods to nintendo like games for them to be allowed on the Nintendo. Those who know how to mod can certainly put our ideas into reality.
@A B so? Nintendo would earn more than they end up paying.
@A B Tell why you think it well not sell anything sort of well?
Hero of the Shadows: has a nice ring to it
Some kinds of Zelda games I want in the future is (warning I have not researched many things about Zelda games) a game set in the future (like the year 3000), a fire emblem complete cross over game, and a game where you play mostly as Zelda.
i have doubts we will go back to linear zelda games. BOTW did incredible.
They started a new naming scheme with the game so the title for this would probably be more like “Knight of the shadows” or something
I have been thinking about this since I was a child. Just waiting for it to happen but it seems like the world gets wiped clean before it can come to pass
Nice :)
Who will be the main villain of the new lesson of zelda game
You should try to present this to the Zelda team!
yes
*DO IT*
please
I can try 😅
Imagine:
A dark Zelda.
In the teaser trailer, one of the first sequences is Link an adult traversing a temple cavern akin to Twilight Princess. Upon entering the door in this Ocarina of time style volcano temple, he stumbles on a booby trap. The doors lock and bomb starting falling from the ceiling. This could be replicated in gameplay just imagine those slow ass type of ocarina bombs falling. Or a hellish bullet hell of them exploding mid air. Either way the scene is grizzly. Ganon In a gruesome attempt nearly actually kills link. Maybe he ran across the room beneath a falling door. That you conveniently threw your shield into to stop its advance. Throwing your shield like a boomerang could be an ability in game (because why not? Sheika slate is blatant magic.)
One word:
yes.
I would love to play that game, would be very awesome and would change up the Zelda but also bring in some other Zelda formula as well. Well done and to me would be very cool if was going to be a real game of course.
I’m genuinely scared to watch this because it might make me really really want this
One day I hope they make a Zelda universe game where you can essentially travel to all the worlds/eras of all the other games, like warping through wormholes or “time travel”, in a sense finally “linking” them all together.
All the cloak would need is a timer with a cool down and it'd work!
I think this Link should have some red hair to match the BOTW hero. The reasoning could be a side effect of a game mechanic, like say his cloak of shadows also gives him other stealth abilities, like shadow doppelgangers or projectiles to throw his scent/aura or whatever in other directions that he can use to distract or sidetrack enemies, and as he uses the cloaks' features more and more over time, there are some permanent drawbacks to his body. A physical evidence of this is his hair turning crimson red and gaining volume, but I am not sure what other drawbacks should be, exactly.
Perhaps the object is cursed by the evil Sheikah faction as a means to prevent Link from using it against them or maybe the red hair effect could have a Gerudo connection and this Link turns into a Male Gerudo and eventually becomes the Gerudo King.
hot take, I think that link should talk. its time. I know that random, but I just thought of it. also great vid, keep up the good work!
Ima see if I can animate a concept trailer lol
Hey!! Nintendo listen!! This is an epic idea for a game start creating now Nintendo
Lol thx XD
"Metal Gear Zelda: Shiekahs Splinter Creed".
But "Cloak Of Shadows" has also a nice ring to it. XD
The Mortal Draw and Flurry Rush with a Shiekah Katana sounds fitting. Fighting with different weapons should have more diversity in their movesets as in BOTW:
- Shiekah Katanas should be the ones of fast draw and attack Speed, but without Shields for protection;
- Hylian Longswords are used in tandem with Shields and offer more defensive capabilities;
- Naginatas offer extended range and attack radius, but leaves you open if not proper timed.
If Link is stealth based, his weapons have to be easy to carry in a mobility sense and his items also have to compliment this Philosophy. When it comes to items, I would redesign iconic ones with a more "Ninja/Techno" touch to it and stealth oriented:
- Longshot/Hookshot/Whip could be designed to look like a magnetic Kunai at the end of a pommel with a rope made of energy or be two seperate items like in SS;
- The Boomerang/The Beatle can used as distraction tools and remote controlled, eather as separated or as one item;
- The Crawling Bombs could make a return as well and be remote controlled like in PH;
- The Mogma Claws/Digging Claws could be reintroduced as climbing items or be the central climbing mechanic;
- The Deku Nuts could be reintroduced as an escape item in case Link is cought and needs to hide, with blinding or smoke attributes to take out the enemis with Lens of truth;
- Link should also have a visual enhancement item, that allows him to find and keep track of his traces and that of enemies;
- Also a Radar feature like the Shiekah Slate could be useful as well;
- A hacking item would be interesting to see, as some places could be locked behind programmed machines instead of people.
Lastly, I think that some enemies should have the same or similar camouflage abilities as Links and Link should have the same countermeasurements as them, to build up a challenge of who can make better use of the same tools.
Many theories especulate Link to be of Zonai origin or relationship, in that case, having Shiehkah training for the stealth mechanic and Zonai combat abilities, while also being Hylian, makes an interesting concept for both the gameplay and Links portrayal.
With this comment I just wanted to make a joke, but I then the ideas started to come to mind. It's proof for me that this conceot has al lot of potential.
Great concepts. A little saddened to hear you reference Harry’s cloak, when ALTTP Link had a magic cape that granted invisibility.
this title is literally the same thing as "Blade of Sharpness" Lmao
