Yay glad those filler blades have come in useful, thought I might be too late in getting them to you. You might find it easier to use one of the larger ones for going over the bigger holes as its easier to control and reduces the little edges that pop up. The boat looks so good on the outside now, well done James 🤩
Good day you are doing a great job on boat. I'm Canada. I get you at 2:00 AM. SO THANK YOU. Just be safe at work and home. By kitchener Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Morning James. When saw the opening few seconds I thought you was making a body filler buttie lol 😆 The rear looks 100% with that primer on it 👍🏻 Next time your at screwfix get yourself a paint kettle as it’s a lot better than using the tin 👍🏻 Great spot with the typo lol 😆 Hopefully they’ll give you some paint. Cheers Stevie.
That grey paint on the stern...what a difference that has made ! it looks so much cleaner and better .My thoughts are that the rails around the stern should be a navy blue .
I agree with the Navy Blue rails with gold pin striping. Matter of fact, Navy Blue sides with gold detailing would make those mushroom vents on top pop!
I'm still thinking a sliding door might be better in the long run, if the new gas pipe doesn't get in the way? It might also allow you to re-jig the aft-deck, possibly giving you more usable space? Thing - gotta be worth a try. The uniform colour looks like a great improvement. The wooden rail would be great taken back - well - to the wood and varnished, maybe?
You could sand the railing completely and use transparant boat lacker. First coat very thin and then 2 or 3 topcoats. Sand between every coat. RUWA is a brand that is used for boats in the netherlands.
Hi James! Love watching your videos from here in Australia! We look forward to joining you on the cut at some point in the future. Have you thought of a lighter blue for the roof instead of grey, which would be great with the brass mushroom vents. You did a great job on those and it would be a shame to paint them! Out of curiosity what is the head height on your boat? Dennis is 6’3” and so I think we will be limited in boat choice! Keep vlogging we love them every morning for our coffee! Cheers Dennis & Maree, Strathfieldsaye, Victoria Australia!
Michael at Minimallist is sitting directly on the railing, however, he has a lot more cushioning to sit on than you do. You're very thin and would find it hard to sit for a long while on a piece of wood. Of course, you could add some kind of vinyl cushioning that could withstand the wet weather.
A great improvement there James. Are you going to be living with a pram cover over it? if so the stern outside wall might be better in a lighter colour to keep it a bit brighter inside the cover ?
How about a comfortable bicycle seat mounted on a swing-arm? Or a raised chase lounge if your planning on continuous cruising? You'll be the talk of the boating community.
James can you give me the details of your wifi system please antena and reciver is it any good .have a holiday home in Wales the potable wifi is rubbish. Thanks James

Wow, what a difference a day makes, or in your case a few hours~
Reds and blues are definitely your colours James.
You are making progress. It's all looking much better. Seeing forward to your choice of "end finish".
Greetings, Project is progressing well. I like the change of green paint.
cheers Garey - yes i agree, just a little bit of green left then its all gone
I love the music transition! Perfect! TEA!
What a big difference the grey paint has made well done :)
Looking forward to the top coat. That'll make it pop sir James.
Keep plugging away. Looking great!

What a difference a lick of paint does makes it cleaner ( not saying its dirty lol ) n vibrant
Hi James - HMS Sloe Patrol is starting to look the biz in battleship grey
i know, battleship grey is the best colour !!

From a fellow boater: the more seats the merrier.
i would like to see a boat in WW1 dazzle camouflage, you have a good start there.
I thought you were going to take a Sledgehammer to something when that music started...
A great improvement there James. Are you going to be living with a pram cover over it? if so the stern outside wall might be better in a lighter colour to keep it a bit brighter inside the cover ?
oh now thats a point. hadnt thought of thinking of that wall as an internal wall which it could well be if i ever can afford a pram cover

And it's better to use a wire wheel to clean the rust and paint off steel. A lesson learned from a lot of years having water under the keel.
Grey looks a great colour for top coat 🧥 or is it because it's a consistent clean colour?
i think both. consistent and clean makes a massive difference and I see so many lovely looking boats in grey
@@TheNarrowboatThatJamesBuilt Could do razzle camouflage!
They should make you some deal as you did advertise them in pretty much every video you have done painting in lol
yeah thats true - im hoping alerting them to the mistake will work too
Looks good but what did you think about Line of Duty?
OMG loved it ! Hope Hastings gets his appeal granted to extend his retirement so we get another series
I thought for a second you had changed your diet but it was body filler :)

I'm ok now James watched narrboat silver fox
Sorry, but all the way through I was mentally shouting “for heaven’s sake, just get ON with it!”
Honestly...its not that kind of channel.
Agreed Doreen, it was definitely a bit much today!
I wish you would sort out your microphone set up, when you are away from your camera .The sound or lack of it , leaves a lot to be desired
James, don’t forget that Michael has a semi-trad stern and he sits on the corner.
yeah but just being able to sit by the tiller is what i want and i am not a fan of ad hoc bar stools on the deck
@@TheNarrowboatThatJamesBuilt Taylor’s Aboard re-did their back seats...you might want to give them a look. Just a suggestion.
Why do u have to explain everything instead of just getting on with the work
