Experiencing The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

In the summer of 2016 I was treated to a trip to Colorado. One of the several highlights of the trip was riding the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
In the first part of the video you will ride behind Durango & Silverton #482 to Silverton from Durango. You even get to see the spectacular Highline above the Animas Canyon. At the end of the trip you will see #482 up close and personal and get to hear her whistle echo along the the Colorado mountains.
In the second part of the video I returned back to Durango to watch the crews turn Durango & Silverton #473 on the air powered (once steam powered) turntable.
In the final part you will see two runbys along the Animas River in Durango. These shots speak for themselves!
