Shadow’s portrayal is pretty decent. He didn’t pick a random fight with Sonic for no reason, Shadow seems aware of Sonic’s cockiness and he only fought him to prevent him from causing any trouble. Shadow clearly means well, he just has little tolerance for Sonic’s antics and it’s justified when Sonic later destroys their world

If shadow motives for fighting sonic is to prevent him from causing any trouble, what explains the fact that after he wins the fight by punching sonic straight in the face, he just lets him go on his marry way. The only way fighting would prevent sonic from making mistakes would be if he either restrained sonic after the fight or he outright killed him (which he wouldn’t do). Id say the show could have elaborated a bit more on shadow fighting sonic and trying to talk him some sense
I see him easily as a kid friendly version of Thomas Wayne’s batman. They mean good, but they do it with no nonsense and the screw your feelings mentality

About Shadow just fighting Sonic from the start, I think that energy blast from Sonic's first fight with Eggman, really messed Shadow up. He had this weird prophecy that Sonic would somehow ruin everything, and decides to just beat him up in the hopes of preventing it. That's how I understood that duel at least.
He actually tried to talk to him a few times but Sonic kept trying to run away. Shadow seemed like he was trying to beat him to a point where he would atleast listen.

Notice when Nine abandoned the gang, Rusty Rose got sad, I think that Rusty got upset because she'll be controlled under the Eggman Council again, not only that but when she met Pirate Amy, she kinda glitched for a split second and canceled her order to the robots to kill Sonic and the others on that pirate ship, She probably got scared about killing herself, at Episode 8 when she's fighting the heroes, she gets more and more expressive, she gets more angry and even freaks out when she sees Pirate Amy again. Rusty is probably showing her humanity, I'm looking forward to her character arc in future episodes.
SO, I don't see Shadow as trying to fight Sonic unnecessarily. I think he realizes at this point that Sonic isn't gonna slow down to talk to him, so he has to FORCE him to stop. The only way? Deck him. Knock him out of his pace. I say "at this point" as in Shadow has been watching Sonic get cockier and stop listening to people, even his best friends. I think this is the only way Shadow can find to get him to slow down and listen to him whatsoever, so he's taking what he can. That and he's clearly sick of Sonic fucking things up, he immediately pins the massive energy blast (rightfully imo) on Sonic. TL;DR: I think Shads is superior and has to fight Sonic for him to listen.
Agreed. Sonic doesn't want to take a moment to listen to what Shadow has to say, and so Shadow has to resort to knocking him down a notch to get him to listen. And when Sonic finally is ready to listen, the damage had already been done.
Now i understand why sonic getting thrown around like a ragdoll was getting under my skin. I've been so used to sonic easily kicking everybody's ass with little effort that I didn't see he was too op. Now that he has layers to his character and actually gets beat up my fan boy mind couldn't accept this sonic because he loses fights. I fucking love this show because it's different though.

I have many thoughts about this show i wanna get out real quick -overall i really like this so far and like the plot and the animation so much -for characters i really loved nine, rusty rose, and renegade knucks, knuckles the dread and rebel rouge -sonic himself is very interesting as he’s a bit more kid friendly but still has the base things that i like about sonic, and giving him a character arc feels very interesting -my only negatives i have right now is the flashbacks can be a little too close to each other making them a little repetitive and I personally think the baby eggman is very annoying -i love how after these 8 episodes i still have many questions and look forward to more the show has to offer -for theories and questions my major ones are what role shadow will play, if we will see more chaos emeralds, rusty roses backstory, if we will see anymore dimensions, and if we will learn how the egg council came to be
This may sound far fetched, but I have been repeatedly hearing all over the internet that season 1 is supposed to consist of 24 episodes instead of 8, all because of Netflix’s policy to release only some of the episodes instead of every single one at once. With that being said, we might (emphasis on “might”) get the rest of the season much sooner than expected.

Honestly I absolutely adore Sonic Prime! I'm rewatching it for like the third time and seeing all the tiny details is awesome! The little flicks of characters ears, twitches of eyes, and the animation in general is AMAZING! Yes it has its flaws, but it is definitly my favorite Sonic show
Knowing that's a Netflix show I'm very surprised the animation is this good. I mean the the quality does go down each episode at least, it's very consistent. Also the voice acting is very good
It's alright so far. My only complaint is that Sonic acts dumb a lot of the time, even forgetting abilities he and others have displayed after a few minutes. They focus hard on him not paying attention to things like his surroundings in order to have him make mistakes to further the plot. Like a lot of things would go differently if he wasn't easily side-tracked. But this is the Prime version of Sonic so I'll have to accept his ADD and see where it goes. Curious to see how he gets the shards when he's unable to touch them normally.

I'm not even that into Sonic stuff (I've never played the games), but I saw a clip that looked interesting so I binged the show and loved it. Every time Shadow appeared for a second I was laughing my ass off, especially when he said he was stuck in the void. Imagine Sonic Prime from Shadow's pov: It starts out the same, but then legit the rest of it is just Shadow floating in the void while Sonic occasionally goes past him
The pacing can be a bit odd but overall i went with 0 expectations and immediately got hooked, just kinda sad to see my man Sonic struggle with the concept of alternative realities and how he managed to open a wormhole by himself that one time and it's never brought up again but still, great show

Love how sonics mistakes are based on how he's focusing not dumping him down. The way sonic gets focused on one thing and starts to loose focus on other things. It's like he has ADHD at some points.
My favourite part about sonic prime is how the 3 sonic heroes all can use the spindash, and its a very powerfull hability, but sonic is the one that uses it the most and in the most different ways That is somwthing that i always liked from sonic 3 specifically, how everyone had it, but the one that when playing ussually gets more use out of it is sonic, and in the next games he developed it more I love the spindash
Honestly, I just finished it and I was left speechless…. Completely speechless. After watching two or three episodes of Boom….☠️. This was so refreshing, so rejuvenating, so NEEDED. As a fan since birth , this was my favourite show , it had so many jokes, hidden call backs too games & shows & all the deep metaphors within it too really make it feel deeper.. not to mention the fucking gorgeous art style.
it is confirmed that we get more seasons cause season 1, is more like part 1 Sonic Prime was made with 24 episodes but Netflix being Netflix, split those 24 episodes into 3 'seasons' with 8 episodes each (like what they did with The Cuphead Show)

8/10 is a good rating. I feel like the biggest flaw with it is that Sonic feels way too dumb and immature (especially compared to the rest of the cast), although that might be because of how Sonic was portrayed in Frontiers. Like it feels like they saw the snark and mislabeled the source of it. Normally, the snark comes from Sonic being optimistic and confident, and while still present, a lot of jokes and Sonic's behavior in general in Prime so far makes his brain seem a bitless wrinkly than it really should be, like how he forgot about his hover shoes in the pirate mini arc immediately after discovering he has hover shoes. It stands out even more since he used his new gear a ton in the previous mini arc. Sonic may not be especially intelligent, but he's not dull either and quite quick witted (fittingly lol). It seems like they did it that way so they could avoid the issue of a perfect protagonist, but I do feel like they took it a little too far. He seems much more mature by the end of the season, so hopefully that trend continues into the future of the series. If it does and they don't drop the ball with the rest of the story, Sonic Prime will undoubtedly be the best animated Sonic series to date.

Honestly, I just still love Sonic as an adult. So when something like this comes out, I'm all here for it. Its got wonderful animation and good voice acting! Awesome design for the settings, the characters work great. Ahh it's amazing, im really just here to gush about how much I love this version of sonic!
I just LOVE what they did with amy and rouge in the prime universe. Rouge isn't overly sexualized and her new outfit is amazing, her character is fantastically written too, and Amy isn't an annoying stalker but rather a sweet kind person who can kick some butt when it matters. She even gets mad at sonic when he doesn't appreciate the palm tree surprise!
Sonic is an over the top crazy cinematic universe, Sonic's weaknesses can be exploited and other characters can counter or deal with stuff etc. Sonic can have flaws but he shouldn't have many, as that DIRECTLY goes against what made Sonic SO DAMN COOL in the first place. That's why Unleashed and Black Knight are so insanely brilliant, they have Sonic grow in strength, but they pit him against enemies or situations that directly counter him. Sonic is confident, Sonic is powerful, Sonic is a character who prefers working alone. Example: Enerjak killing literally everyone but SIlver's powers being the perfect counter against something that was able to defeat even Sonic. It illustrates Enerjak's power and it makes him feel like a menacing threat, and it gives SIlver a lot of respect. Say what you will about the comics, but they do what Prime is doing way better. Characters aren't useless and they are still extremely powerful, making for some insane action, plots, etc. Hopefully by the end of Prime Sonic grows into his Frontiers self, or an element of that at least. And Rouge's VA sounds how she basically always has? I've never gotten that vibe, Rouge since SA2 has been way more then some degenerate character, and if it takes her outfit changing for you to realize that... well ya' need help lol
They should have Feels the rabbit in this show (Aka the beta design prototype sonic). It would be a fun Easter egg pointing to what Sega was originally planning sonic to be.
The best part of Sonic Prime was the new found relevancy of the other characters, they are useful, something Forces could never do, most of the Sonic games in fact.
It would be a cool thought/idea if the Shatter-spaces are very deeply infinite in universal breaching that we could see in a final battle against the Chaos Council would be having Sonic fight alongside other versions of himself {like his other transformations}; i.e. meaning we see Sonic Prime's Modern Sonic fight alongside with Classic Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, & Sonic the Werehog from other Shatter-space dimensions/universes (and maybe both Modern & Classic go Super Sonic for a nice touch).
I love how on this show, Sonic is a REALLY flawed hero. He broke the reality, and now he's learning his actions have consequences, and wishing he had cherished the smaller moments with his friends before the reality was broken.

I have more thoughts on how I think shadow can be like here. But I am just going to talk about the ending of episode 8. When Shadow brings Sonic into the void, he would be glaring at sonic. Sonic would be going on with his "I don't have time to deal with whoever you are" thing. Then Shadow would say, VERY sternly, "SHUT. UP." Sonic would be silent, very unnerved at the way Shadow said that. Shadow would then say something along the lines of "Go home?...GO HOME?! HOME DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE BECAUSE OF YOU! I tried to warn you, I tried to tell you what I saw when that burst of energy hit me, but you wouldn't listen! The home you want to go back to? The home that I swore to protect? IT'S GONE! All because you wouldn't listen! Like I said I have more thoughts on shadow, and this is a rough draft, but I wanted to say what I think would go down. Also, I would've said the this show would be set in an alternate universe where Sonic would be new at this whole thing, and that although he does care about his friends, his ego still hasn't been put in check. Would also probably change the name of the show to Sonic Shattered or something along those lines.
I’m probably the only person in this universe that didn’t like how Sonic was getting smacked around so much, like I know Sonic is not a god and that he should not be portrayed like one, but at the same time he shouldn’t be getting ragdolled or pushed by ordinary badniks. Also another thing, it’s not that SEGA is portraying sonic as an all knowing protagonist, it’s just that his friends aren’t doing anything and his foes are to weak.
Enemies being a threat makes sense. Even if they are badniks. If enemies were complete jokes, they would be pointless. Sonic should overcome challenges to make victory seem like a "win," not too easy

I don't know if we'd be able to see the boom squad or any classic universe for the sole reason being that in each universe we've seen, there's no alternate Sonic (or shadow) and I'm wondering if it's because they got absorbed into the shatter space unlike the rest who were split by it, the others are broken pieces of alternate versions but Sonic gets to keep being the only one.
After Sonic Boom, it was refreshing to see Sonic's team with old designs. And Amy seems normal and less obssesed with Sonic. Knuckles in normal shape and not stupid like in Boom. And Sonic Prime gives an opportunity of characters from different perspective. Nine for example, he never met Sonic.
I would LOVE to see other games as shattered spaces, imagine Sonic just falling off the sky (again) and as he looks up whle in the ground he sees Amy's dress from Sonic and the Black Knight. (Sorry I love that game I couldn't resist--) But yeah I also would like a Boom shattered space, not because I liked the show (which, to be honest, I kinda didn't but it's fun anyways) but because I love Sticks and the Boom version of Amy and Tails.
Gotta say, I love Nine's personality and design. Idk what it is, but if Sonic needs a reboot for the modern day, maybe they should've added cloths to their main cast to instantly boost their personalities. Blaze, Nine, Boom Amy, and even this alternate Big the cat look great with cloths(Big with a fishing hat + vest would look good too). I still prefer the tv show Boom Sonic's personality and Boom Amy's too(Amy in Boom is perfection for her character imo). Pirate Knuckles has a really good personality too, I agree with Sonic :') I only fear Sonic will dwindle with so many spin offs though... You have the 2D game's universe, the Adventure universe, the 06 universe, the boom universe, the forces universe... the Movie universe, and now the Prime universe(seems like a reboot too). It's hard to talk to people about Sonic when they aren't already into the fandom
I have never played a sonic game but really like the franchise, and this show was just very exciting! What got me hooked were the fights, they were coordinated very well and the animation was dynamic.
Tails still needs to be physically capable of dealing with threats and not rely on his gadgets. This is the guy that taught k.o. how to spin dash. And so we need tails to spin dash, as well as tail attacks.

2 things. First the story was by Man of Action, the guys who made Ben 10 and most of your childhood so that's why the story is so well done. Second, this is only the first 8 episodes of a 24 episode order by Netflix. So we are getting more.
Alright, let's talk about things: According to official information, this series was created by those in charge of the "Ben 10" franchise and many other well-loved series, and others not so well remembered or appreciated ("Man of Action Entertainment"). With that in mind, what happened here? Because with the Ben 10 Reboot, it became fashionable to say that they did it because the company always sought to sell toys with that. But seriously, does anyone remember how everything was before Omniverse? Because I grew up with the original Ben 10, with "Generator Rex" and a long etc. of the series that came out of that company and I NEVER thought that this was going to be something commercial in mass. At most, today you would think they would serve as collectible action figures to have on a shelf, but it seems that only with Omniverse did they remember the "Mass Sale". And that only with Man of Action Entertainment. I can go as far as "TMNT" and "He-Man" and I would say that "My Little Pony" seemed more in the mood for building an empire. Why aren't there millions of Play Sets? Why didn't all major villains have their own armies with at least 2 minion classes? Why aren't there at least 10 parallel universes in the first season of this? Is it because they respect Sonic? Literally all of the characters are stereotypes of the original characters and Internet Memes. I'm not saying it's okay to be a blood-sucking executive, but if you're going to sell toys, why did you put so much effort into the plot for at least a decade?
I love this entire show. Just everything (well almost everything). I like this Sonic portrayal. I just adore him. It isn't my favorite as Frontiers is my favorite Sonic. I love them for different reasons. The pace is off definitely but it could be worse. I love all the Tails'. All hold my heart here. I just dont have a lot of words for just how much I love it besides I love and adore it.
I gave this show a chance. Bad news is, Netflix is recommending more cartoons, and it's not even the good ones. Good news is, it was worth it. I'm in love with this show. Deconstruction is my favorite element in a story, especially when it is its main factor. The prime examples of it for me are Thorn, the Chaos Council and Nine (I'm only gonna focus on Nine and Thorn for the rest of this comment though). Nine is an amazing and interesting partner to have. Tails is a funny prey to play with. It's a shame Nine can only exist as long as reality remains broken. It would be so good to see those two meet. (I incline my head a bit for my hair's shadow to cover my eyes while twisting my mouth into a predatory/Joker like smile) I truly love the contrast between innocence and efficiency. Sometimes by watching both tear each other apart. Sometimes by watching both balancing each other out. This Kitsune and baby fox present a rather unpredictable duo, as I don't know if they work better as a team or as rivals. And just like Momobami Kirari, I sometimes love what's unpredictable in order to test myself. What do you think ? Even if my wished meeting is impossible, I hope Nine at least meets Thorn. I think those two would get along pretty fine. Even if she's slightly more selfless, she's still as ruthless as him in the name of her goals. But just like him, deep down, she also cares. For few, but they do.
2022 is the year of sonic! Sonic Movie 2! Is the movie that truly broke the bad video game movie curse! Sonic Origins! Exists... Sonic Frontiers! Is one of the greatest games this year! After a long 5 year wait, we finally got a sonic game worth all the hype! Sonic Prime! One of- if not THE BEST sonic show, and the one with the most potential! 2022 was such a good year for our lovable blue-blur. Keep on going sonic!
I don’t know, maybe Amy will be able to be turned-back. They did it several times in the comics and were able to get through to Sonic’s Uncle Chuck even after he was robotized in Sat A. M..So, maybe there is some hope.
Honestly the funniest part of the show was the Sonic beat-up recap that happened every time he entered a new reality or returned to New Yolk/Yoke? (Idk subtitles are weird sometimes)
I like that Shadow treats Sonic like an absolute pissant, but only after I watched through the entire show. I like to imagine Shadow tried talking at first, but nothing gets through to Sonic, so Shadow from then on literally punches his point into Sonic, or at least attempts to. The only time Shadows just talks to Sonic is when he sees Sonic is finally willing to listen.
4:46 the reason the voice actors are different is because sonic prime was made by a Canadian company, and Canadian labor laws say the voice actors need to be Canadian and most of the original voice actors are *not*

I think this is the only way Shadow can find to get him to slow down and listen to him whatsoever, so he's taking what he can. That and he's clearly sick of Sonic fucking things up, he immediately pins the massive energy blast (rightfully imo) on Sonic.
TL;DR: I think Shads is superior and has to fight Sonic for him to listen.
Agreed. Sonic doesn't want to take a moment to listen to what Shadow has to say, and so Shadow has to resort to knocking him down a notch to get him to listen. And when Sonic finally is ready to listen, the damage had already been done.

Now i understand why sonic getting thrown around like a ragdoll was getting under my skin. I've been so used to sonic easily kicking everybody's ass with little effort that I didn't see he was too op. Now that he has layers to his character and actually gets beat up my fan boy mind couldn't accept this sonic because he loses fights. I fucking love this show because it's different though.
I like seeing this guy getting beat up. It makes it so that when he actually gets to beating the enemy he fights, it's so much more satisfying to see him win.
If he doesn't have the chaos emeralds, he's not invincible. There needs to be stakes, otherwise it'll be boring and predictable.

I have many thoughts about this show i wanna get out real quick
-overall i really like this so far and like the plot and the animation so much
-for characters i really loved nine, rusty rose, and renegade knucks, knuckles the dread and rebel rouge
-sonic himself is very interesting as he’s a bit more kid friendly but still has the base things that i like about sonic, and giving him a character arc feels very interesting
-my only negatives i have right now is the flashbacks can be a little too close to each other making them a little repetitive and I personally think the baby eggman is very annoying
-i love how after these 8 episodes i still have many questions and look forward to more the show has to offer
-for theories and questions my major ones are what role shadow will play, if we will see more chaos emeralds, rusty roses backstory, if we will see anymore dimensions, and if we will learn how the egg council came to be
This may sound far fetched, but I have been repeatedly hearing all over the internet that season 1 is supposed to consist of 24 episodes instead of 8, all because of Netflix’s policy to release only some of the episodes instead of every single one at once. Honestly I absolutely adore Sonic Prime! I'm rewatching it for like the third time and seeing all the tiny details is awesome! The little flicks of characters ears, twitches of eyes, and the animation in general is AMAZING!

Nine is my favorite character in this show. The show absolutely nailed a darker version of Tails, and I really did feel for him.
It's alright so far. My only complaint is that Sonic acts dumb a lot of the time, even forgetting abilities he and others have displayed after a few minutes. They focus hard on him not paying attention to things like his surroundings in order to have him make mistakes to further the plot. Like a lot of things would go differently if he wasn't easily side-tracked. But this is the Prime version of Sonic so I'll have to accept his ADD and see where it goes. Curious to see how he gets the shards when he's unable to touch them normally.
Its because Sonic is much stronger than his friends. So they gave everyone a purpose. Tails can fix Sonic's mistakes. Knuckles can strategize

I'm not even that into Sonic stuff (I've never played the games), but I saw a clip that looked interesting so I binged the show and loved it. Every time Shadow appeared for a second I was laughing my ass off, especially when he said he was stuck in the void. Imagine Sonic Prime from Shadow's pov: It starts out the same, but then legit the rest of it is just Shadow floating in the void while Sonic occasionally goes past him
I had Big expectations and give me more than expected
The pacing can be a bit odd but overall i went with 0 expectations and immediately got hooked, just kinda sad to see my man Sonic struggle with the concept of alternative realities and how he managed to open a wormhole by himself that one time and it's never brought up again but still, great show

The pacing is odd because they made this season 24 episodes. This isn't 24 episodes worth of story. Maybe 10 or 12, so they add filler

Love how sonics mistakes are based on how he's focusing not dumping him down. The way sonic gets focused on one thing and starts to loose focus on other things. It's like he has ADHD at some points.

My favourite part about sonic prime is how the 3 sonic heroes all can use the spindash, and its a very powerfull hability, but sonic is the one that uses it the most and in the most different ways

8/10 is a good rating. I feel like the biggest flaw with it is that Sonic feels way too dumb and immature (especially compared to the rest of the cast), although that might be because of how Sonic was portrayed in Frontiers. Like it feels like they saw the snark and mislabeled the source of it. Normally, the snark comes from Sonic being optimistic and confident, and while still present, a lot of jokes and Sonic's behavior in general in Prime so far makes his brain seem a bitless wrinkly than it really should be, like how he forgot about his hover shoes in the pirate mini arc immediately after discovering he has hover shoes. It stands out even more since he used his new gear a ton in the previous mini arc. Sonic may not be especially intelligent, but he's not dull either and quite quick witted (fittingly lol).
It seems like they did it that way so they could avoid the issue of a perfect protagonist, but I do feel like they took it a little too far. He seems much more mature by the end of the season, so hopefully that trend continues into the future of the series. If it does and they don't drop the ball with the rest of the story, Sonic Prime will undoubtedly be the best animated Sonic series to date.

Honestly, I just still love Sonic as an adult. So when something like this comes out, I'm all here for it. Its got wonderful animation and good voice acting! Awesome design for the settings, the characters work great. Ahh it's amazing, im really just here to gush about how much I love this version of sonic!
I just LOVE what they did with amy and rouge in the prime universe. Rouge isn't overly sexualized and her new outfit is amazing, her character is fantastically written too, and Amy isn't an annoying stalker but rather a sweet kind person who can kick some butt when it matters. She even gets mad at sonic when he doesn't appreciate the palm tree surprise!
I'm not the only one who thought Prime is what Forces was supposed to be.

Sonic is an over the top crazy cinematic universe, Sonic's weaknesses can be exploited and other characters can counter or deal with stuff etc.
Sonic can have flaws but he shouldn't have many, as that DIRECTLY goes against what made Sonic SO DAMN COOL in the first place. That's why Unleashed and Black Knight are so insanely brilliant, they have Sonic grow in strength, but they pit him against enemies or situations that directly counter him. Sonic is confident, Sonic is powerful, Sonic is a character who prefers working alone.
Example: Enerjak killing literally everyone but SIlver's powers being the perfect counter against something that was able to defeat even Sonic. It illustrates Enerjak's power and it makes him feel like a menacing threat, and it gives SIlver a lot of respect. Say what you will about the comics, but they do what Prime is doing way better. Characters aren't useless and they are still extremely powerful, making for some insane action, plots, etc.
Hopefully by the end of Prime Sonic grows into his Frontiers self, or an element of that at least. And Rouge's VA sounds how she basically always has? I've never gotten that vibe, Rouge since SA2 has been way more then some degenerate character, and if it takes her outfit changing for you to realize that... well ya' need help lol

It would be a cool thought/idea if the Shatter-spaces are very deeply infinite in universal breaching that we could see in a final battle against the Chaos Council would be having Sonic fight alongside other versions of himself {like his other transformations}; i.e. meaning we see Sonic Prime's Modern Sonic fight alongside with Classic Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, & Sonic the Werehog from other Shatter-space dimensions/universes (and maybe both Modern & Classic go Super Sonic for a nice touch).
If they really do end up referencing the classic SatAM show I would be SO pleased, since this would be an acknowledgement of their legacy.
I love how on this show, Sonic is a REALLY flawed hero. He broke the reality, and now he's learning his actions have consequences, and wishing he had cherished the smaller moments with his friends before the reality was broken.

I have more thoughts on how I think shadow can be like here. But I am just going to talk about the ending of episode 8. When Shadow brings Sonic into the void, he would be glaring at sonic. Sonic would be going on with his "I don't have time to deal with whoever you are" thing. Then Shadow would say, VERY sternly, "SHUT. UP." Sonic would be silent, very unnerved at the way Shadow said that. Shadow would then say something along the lines of "Go home?...GO HOME?! HOME DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE BECAUSE OF YOU! I tried to warn you, I tried to tell you what I saw when that burst of energy hit me, but you wouldn't listen! The home you want to go back to? The home that I swore to protect? IT'S GONE! All because you wouldn't listen!
Like I said I have more thoughts on shadow, and this is a rough draft, but I wanted to say what I think would go down. Also, I would've said the this show would be set in an alternate universe where Sonic would be new at this whole thing, and that although he does care about his friends, his ego still hasn't been put in check. Would also probably change the name of the show to Sonic Shattered or something along those lines.

I’m probably the only person in this universe that didn’t like how Sonic was getting smacked around so much, like I know Sonic is not a god and that he should not be portrayed like one, but at the same time he shouldn’t be getting ragdolled or pushed by ordinary badniks. Also another thing, it’s not that SEGA is portraying sonic as an all knowing protagonist, it’s just that his friends aren’t doing anything and his foes are to weak.
Enemies being a threat makes sense. Even if they are badniks. If enemies were complete jokes, they would be pointless. Sonic should overcome challenges to make victory seem like a "win," not too easy

I don't know if we'd be able to see the boom squad or any classic universe for the sole reason being that in each universe we've seen, there's no alternate Sonic (or shadow) and I'm wondering if it's because they got absorbed into the shatter space unlike the rest who were split by it, the others are broken pieces of alternate versions but Sonic gets to keep being the only one.
After Sonic Boom, it was refreshing to see Sonic's team with old designs. And Amy seems normal and less obssesed with Sonic. Knuckles in normal shape and not stupid like in Boom. And Sonic Prime gives an opportunity of characters from different perspective. Nine for example, he never met Sonic.
My favorite thing about this show is how Knuckles is played by Kai

Gotta say, I love Nine's personality and design. Idk what it is, but if Sonic needs a reboot for the modern day, maybe they should've added cloths to their main cast to instantly boost their personalities. Blaze, Nine, Boom Amy, and even this alternate Big the cat look great with cloths(Big with a fishing hat + vest would look good too). I still prefer the tv show Boom Sonic's personality and Boom Amy's too(Amy in Boom is perfection for her character imo). Pirate Knuckles has a really good personality too, I agree with Sonic :')
I only fear Sonic will dwindle with so many spin offs though... You have the 2D game's universe, the Adventure universe, the 06 universe, the boom universe, the forces universe... the Movie universe, and now the Prime universe(seems like a reboot too). I have never played a sonic game but really like the franchise, and this show was just very exciting! What got me hooked were the fights, they were coordinated very well and the animation was dynamic.

2 things. First the story was by Man of Action, the guys who made Ben 10 and most of your childhood so that's why the story is so well done.

Alright, let's talk about things:
According to official information, this series was created by those in charge of the "Ben 10" franchise and many other well-loved series, and others not so well remembered or appreciated ("Man of Action Entertainment").
With that in mind, what happened here? Because with the Ben 10 Reboot, it became fashionable to say that they did it because the company always sought to sell toys with that. But seriously, does anyone remember how everything was before Omniverse?
Because I grew up with the original Ben 10, with "Generator Rex" and a long etc. of the series that came out of that company and I NEVER thought that this was going to be something commercial in mass. At most, today you would think they would serve as collectible action figures to have on a shelf, but it seems that only with Omniverse did they remember the "Mass Sale".
And that only with Man of Action Entertainment. I can go as far as "TMNT" and "He-Man" and I would say that "My Little Pony" seemed more in the mood for building an empire. Why aren't there millions of Play Sets? Why didn't all major villains have their own armies with at least 2 minion classes? Why aren't there at least 10 parallel universes in the first season of this?
Is it because they respect Sonic? Literally all of the characters are stereotypes of the original characters and Internet Memes.
I'm not saying it's okay to be a blood-sucking executive, but if you're going to sell toys, why did you put so much effort into the plot for at least a decade?

I gave this show a chance. Bad news is, Netflix is recommending more cartoons, and it's not even the good ones. Good news is, it was worth it. I'm in love with this show. Deconstruction is my favorite element in a story, especially when it is its main factor. The prime examples of it for me are Thorn, the Chaos Council and Nine (I'm only gonna focus on Nine and Thorn for the rest of this comment though).
Nine is an amazing and interesting partner to have. Tails is a funny prey to play with.
It's a shame Nine can only exist as long as reality remains broken. It would be so good to see those two meet. (I incline my head a bit for my hair's shadow to cover my eyes while twisting my mouth into a predatory/Joker like smile) I truly love the contrast between innocence and efficiency. Sometimes by watching both tear each other apart. Sometimes by watching both balancing each other out.
This Kitsune and baby fox present a rather unpredictable duo, as I don't know if they work better as a team or as rivals. And just like Momobami Kirari, I sometimes love what's unpredictable in order to test myself. What do you think ?
Even if my wished meeting is impossible, I hope Nine at least meets Thorn. I think those two would get along pretty fine. Even if she's slightly more selfless, she's still as ruthless as him in the name of her goals. But just like him, deep down, she also cares. For few, but they do.

I like that Shadow treats Sonic like an absolute pissant, but only after I watched through the entire show. I like to imagine Shadow tried talking at first, but nothing gets through to Sonic, so Shadow from then on literally punches his point into Sonic, or at least attempts to. The only time Shadows just talks to Sonic is when he sees Sonic is finally willing to listen.
