As I mentioned in the Slammer Tool review video, here is the update on the Bamboo Hedge. Looking a bit "thin" just now although they are substantial plants, but give it some time...
Banana plants multiply like rabbits, I planted one about 10 years ago, ended up with +/- 50 over the years, cutting off many small ones to prove their overcrowding. The roots are hard to dig up! I had to call in a stump grinder to clear the area….delicious small finger bananas, and I’m happy to have 4 trees left….there are 18 sprouts coming up which I have to deal with before they get too big! Just my experience….
I planted my Musa a few years ago and yes they are multiplying like rabbits and I am looking forward to having loads of them. I wish that my Ensete would have pubs, but that one I need to literally slaughter to get more… also something to look forward to I guess LOL
Reevaluate. I do it every year. I’m quite impressed, the slammer hasn’t killed you yet. That’s actually quite a big garden that you have, and bananas in Germany? Really impressive
I move some of my plants like furniture, I know not the best but hey :-), and yes the garden is big it is about 37000 square feet, and a odd shape, and you know I am also surprised that the slammer hasn't killed me and I am not finished with it for the season, I still have to divide my black perl Bamboo. About the banana, it is a Musa Basjoo so the root can tolerate low temp. but it needs to be covered properly, the past few years I have been quite lax about the covering but this year I am going to cover it properly so that it will grow bigger next year.

It will look great, especially these are big plants, it should be a actual hedge in 2 years or so
