The pain points are real. I'm not sure these changes address them adequately. But here's to hoping 🙏
I still honestly think they'r'e nerfing bows way too hard. the aim assist changes were fine, maybe a body shot dmg nerf would've been ok too, but with the checkmate changes and and OVERALL dmg nerf to bows, all the fun I had will gone...
I know, this is going to kill bows, not balance them…

What an awful take on bows -- bows may have needed a slight nerf but acting as if its going to fix crucible is laughable. Hand cannon metas are so boring to play into especially when all your footage included thorn an example of what was and will be the meta again.
I’m okay with bows outside of hot swap HC clean ups and hit scan on a projectile arrow. They might still be good after this who knows
nope, bow centric is basicly dead now, unless you can only headshot. just put all my bows in my vault. and I dont play hotswap.
No offense but i know a HC dude isnt complaining about bows...? Handcannons metas are the worst. They get the most aim assist out of every weapon and are reliable AF. So what if bows 2 tap to the head thats how it should be. The nerfs to the bows are fine honestly.
So they nerfed a weapon archtype that didnt need a nerf, classic bungie. This isnt going to "save pvp" cause its a non issue, bows are situational at best and are rarely ever some meta stomping gun. Considering handcannons will always have a faster TTK than basically half the sandbox and they have range to spare. Why arent those getting a nerf? The only bow ive ever seen an issue with is le monarch and the only issue is the DOT which prevents regen but that makes it effective at zone control and even then it still gets outgunned 70% of the time by a half decent player with a basic handcannon like catana or even igneous which everyone can get
Bows have been an issue for a while and because of their ease of use and safety and they have massive potential for even more issues in the future if they dont get nerfed now. No hand cannons really dont have faster ttk than half the weapons in this game, in a good players hands they will minimize the opponents ttk to equal it out and win but just about everything will beat a poorly or even above averagely used hand cannon.
