@@ExpiredSmiles long as you have 100 mobility titan can do just fine. I know the chonky bois like res but it's totally easy to go 100 mob 50 Res 100 rec with void. Which will make your bow play feel way better
This is a great guide, I'm a bow main myself and came here to see if I could learn anything new or share some knowledge. Your video checked pretty much every box, but I do have one thing to add as a "basic bow knowledge" and two tips to add as "specific scenario tips". For the basic bow knowledge, all bows intrinsically have instant auto loading, so you can switch off of it then back, which is slower than just a normal reload, but if you start sprinting before you reload you don't need to stop just to get ready to shoot again. For the Specific Tips, the kill clip roll on Whistler's can get 1 shots if you pair with radiant, or with some other damage buff (lumina noble round from a teammate, empowering rift, charged with light, etc) and the same can be said for precisions with harmony. A couple of builds to take advantage of the 1 shots would be a harmony wolftone/strident whistle and lumina bow swap build, or a radiant hunter build with a kill clip Whistler's and The Title smg because of it's class ability regen origin trait. Edit: I forgot to mention that a Gutshot Whistler's is an amazing bow to pair with Eriana's Vow for quickswapping.
Yep. All good info. The auto loading I honestly just forgot and for whistlers I really tried not to go too in depth with it. Since it's a trials bow. I mostly made this with someone who has never used a bow in mind. Just to be fair. I have never really tried bowswapping with eriana so I couldn't say much about that. Good add on.
found this in my recommended and figured I’d throw in some of what I’ve picked up using bows the past couple seasons: -Foetracer can be strong on Hunter as tagged enemies can be seen through walls allowing you to “prefire” them as they repeek you/you repeek them. I used my Hunter for the first time in a bit in Iron Banner yesterday and pretty easily farmed 100 kills on a Moving Target/Snapshot Biting Winds I wanted to try (I also just died to a lot of dumb repeeks tbf) -Warlocks with Ophidian Aspect make for some of the best quickswap builds, and the movement of Solar definitely helps. I have a friend who tried and was disgusted by the efficiency of Le Monarque with a Quickdraw + Explosive Payload Rose for the Lemon headshot + Rose bodyshot cleanup at any range. -Warlocks are not limited to just Solar, however, as Stasis can be great for causing doubt in your enemies to give you that chance to take bow duels. I personally run Karnsteins and either a Swashbuckler Biting Winds (unfortunately 612 Draw Time but high accuracy) or just my Under Your Skin so I have the bow for longer to mid range, then usually a slug shotgun to clean up farther freezes, and then three Stasis abilities (Coldsnap, Penumbral Blast, or Frostpulse) for closer fights
Been thinking about using foetracer, been using bows for about two weeks now. Definitely noticed how difficult it is to get final blows reliably but that’s probably because I haven’t been playing the game all that long either.
I liked this guide a lot. I especially liked how you explained exactly how lightweights and precisions are different and also mentioned great melee cleanup options to help in close range. I will say though that wanting max reload/draw time is a playstyle thing not a bow thing generally. You look like you have a really fast paced playstyle which is great but when i use bows im much more methodical and holding down objectives, lanes and choke points so personally accuracy, range and damage perks are way way more important to me than anything. Personally I've never been able to see the benefit of accuracy. I've tested and tested and it's just too hard to tell. Lately I use a very low accuracy tyranny and yet it feels amazing. But wish ender with 85 acc whiffs a decent bit. The beauty of bows is you can be passive or aggressive. I'm somewhere in the middle but I still can't decide on a favorite bow. Heck I can't even decide what class. All I know is bows are fun. Glad you enjoyed it 🤠
Great guide. I prefer to play primarily as an anchor or support solar warlock, so I like to use Boots of the Assembler and Lumina with a bow like Strident Whistle (for the reduced harmonic mod costs). The Boots enable accelerated ability regen with the Benevolence fragment from the Noble Seekers healing allies, and it also gives Noble Rounds for Lumina. It's very quick and easy to get Lumina's Noble Rounds ready to fire the heal/buff Noble Rounds at allies which also synergizes with Benevolence ability regen. The buff from Lumina heals allies and grants both of you a 15% damage buff for 10 seconds, and Lumina is a good dueling weapon on its own anyway. This makes a consistent gameplay loop of healing and buffing, and you can be mobile with it as long as you have Noble Rounds loaded in Lumina. I don't use Icarus Dash with this kit though because I'm not playing hyper aggressive unless I have teammates nearby, and for this build it's better suited to have the enhanced healing grenade functionality with Heat Rises for the occasional surprise aerial attack. Back in the days of 20% damage buffs, I would use a 120rpm handcannon for virtually 100% uptime on 2-taps with things like Igneous Hammer, but with the right weapon perks you can still make that happen if you want to build into too. Regardless, I treat Lumina mainly as a special weapon rather than a primary since it has such a highly unique utility.
I just got the trials bow with rapid hit /kill clip, since then I’ve been trying to get used to using bows in the crucible. This video has helped tremendously!
Ive noticed that manually reloading your bow after a shot is slightly faster than just letting it automatically knock before you draw, which could slightly increase your TTK. I havent run any tests but its been noticable enough for me to want to share. If anybody has tested this and can 100% confirm or deny this please do let me know
@mitch4065 targeting, loader, and unflinching mods on your armor that match the element of the bow you're using, and on the bow itself I would say icarus. If your feet never leave the ground, targeting adjuster. There will be an updated version of this guide coming soon.
I actually use dragonfly on mine. Great for pve and helps break up clustered people in pvp. However, I do like opening shot next. It makes the bow land shots it had no business landing. Basically depending on what you want choose based on that. Do you want more utility? Dragonfly. More consistency? Opening shot. More speed on kills? Successful warmup

@RadoX RetroZ sounds like there's your answer. It can get CLOSE to old hush speeds so that's what most people use. I care about archers tempo the most so the last spot is a flex spot for me.
Question: If precision bows max out at 576 draw time, why is Archer's Tempo and successful Warm-Up necessary if the cap is 576? Can precisions go lower than 576 with Archer's Tempo/Successful Warm-Up? If not, then to have both isn't making sense to me. A perk that helps reload would be more beneficial. However, if the draw time goes lower than 576, then i can see why it's mandatory. Or... does Archer's Tempo make the draw animation faster and does not directly affect the bows' actual draw time? So it's 576 regardless, but the animation is sped up with Archer's Tempo. That could make sense as well if true.
576 is the cap Stat wise. (Without glitching) I actually have a precision that is 540. The true Cap for all bows is 500. But yes archers, successful, and archers gambit all surpass this cap
I actually did a test on this though I didn't post it. I used wish ender and a 20 accuracy lightweight. Both of which I really could NOT tell the difference with. Projectile speed matters more on non compound bows. And with compound bows accuracy doesn't matter. I could be completely wrong and there's some miniscule difference but personally Draw speed and reload are most important. And for console players if you get a lightweight with rangefinder or impulse they feel so much more consistent. Sure. What platform are you on. And what are you wanting to do
I know a guy who's cracked with it. It's definitely a niche weapon but it can be done. You just gotta tap or barely draw for the hipfire seekers and peekshot like you would any other bow. Too aggressive and you'll have a harder time

If you're able to learn the tempo of it wish ender is the prefire king for the same reason.
Stasis warlock is certainly a good option as well.

You won't need it no. Supposedly 80 is the true "cap" according to my peers but it's literally impossible to perceive. 60 will serve you well.
