Celeste is great at making you think, "OK this level is literally impossible I will never clear this." And then eventually you clear it and it feels SO good.

This. First time I did a-c sides, it took me I think over 10k deaths (mostly to c sides)
I did a-c sides again for the 3rd or 4th time the other day in 8-9hrs.
It felt amazing.

As someone who has died 1245 times to mirror temple c-side and 993 times to summit c-side alone, windy beating it in under 150 and then calling himself bad at the game makes me feel insanely jealous. Insane to see you do this regularly and always enjoy the streams!
As someone who’ s played way too much of celeste and have beaten many challenging mods, everyone progresses at their own pace.
Your consistency with the mechanics matters a lot. Although that is a lot of deaths

Almost 23 thousand total deaths for me, but I have replayed a tonne of the levels over again, including farewell. Over 9 thousand deaths on that one

I will never forget reaching the heart at the end of the Core's C side, and then bouncing off of it and dying because my dash was barely too early. Yes somehow no real life objects were broken in result, because this game is the most anti-rage game in the world despite its difficulty.

As a celeste gamer, I get angry all the time. I could not IMAGINE dying to the heart in 5d. That has to be the most nervous I’ve EVER been collecting a heart. (5d is a mod btw)
Core c-side I usually say is easier than 7c, but that doesn’t make 7c hard (for me at least). Since the room is shorter than others, despite the fact it’s very precise, it get extremely consistent after like 3 times lol and that’s the reason I got the golden first
@@MagicianStevey Yeah, at first 7c took me, like 2 hours and a half, but on my fourth time beating it, it only took 2 minutes. After playing that stage for a while, it kinda just gets engraved into your muscle memory. Mods look way too hard for me though, and I play on console anyway.
This happened to me then when recovering from the bounce I dashed into the ice after collecting the heart fun times

as someone who tends to avoid super punishing games i cant imagine trying to accomplish this for myself. seriously applaud the perseverance, nicely done windy!!
i can confirm just how difficult it is. I have almost 30k deaths on my main file (technically 100% but not all challenges done) and whenever you think you've finished something, turns out there's something even harder to do. The deathless strawberries are.... painful, to say the least. But I wouldn't say it's punishing. The game sets out the rules, and teaches you how to play. It difficult as hell but it rarely feels unfair, and when it does its related to more of a glitch or awkward input lag that some devices have. If you mess up you get sent back to the start of the room, and there's no limit to the amount of tries you get. Only the very endgame (deathless) gets slightly punishing, but it gives you incentive to practice the level first then try the deathless level! Overall it doesn't punish you for messing up, it just gives you another chance to try it again.
The quick death makes it easy to keep trying, kind of like geometry dash in a way but WAY less punishing.
Honestly I thought the same when seeing the later levels. You think “pfft there’s no way I’ll be able to do that”. But the game teaches you it’s mechanics in such a way that it’s soooo rewarding once you actually beat something you never thought could

Getting the golden strawberries on all the c-sides is one of my proudest video game accomplishments. 7C especially almost made me lose my mind

@@Imperio_Otomano_the_realest 3b is quite hard, but you just have to find consistent cycles for all rooms and practice till you get it. Good luck!

I've watched parts of the stream, the entire VOD and now the edited video. And I could still watch the VOD again. Srsly, the combination of Windette and Celeste makes me so happy. If you ever consider picking it up again for another challenge (C-side goldens maybe?), just imagine me singing as an angelic choir in the background to praise that day.
Honestly,he should just try mods,they will give him a new type of challenge with way more fun mechanics imo. base game is refined,but it gets stale pretty fast once done.

For anyone looking to do the C-sides, they're very hard but all (except for 8c) are 3 rooms long (8c has an entrance room then the 3 challenge rooms)

I got all the goldens in c-sides but tbh they were all really easy (yes that includes 7c, 8c, 3c, and ESPECIALLY 5c. 5c is an easier one)
3 rooms feels like very short for golden so it’s not that bad
How get golden?
@@YTAdCritic after beating chapter 8-b side, you unlock c-sides and golden strawberries. Goldens are basically just collecting that berry. The only way to collect the golden berry is to not die at ALL throughout the entire level until the very end when you collect it. Harder than anything else in the entire game lmao
Now you should try for all golden strawberries :)
With many many many hours of practice i've got all A, B and C side golden strawberries, except 8B and 9 (Edit: Nvm i just got 8B golden berry. now its just 9 left)

I died more times on the first room of 5C than the rest of the game. Also, I’d say give yourself 2 streams to do Farewell, because Chapter nine is 3 times longer than summit, and the rooms are about 5 times harder

5:04 Bruh I did the same thing xD. When I first got 2C heart, I cleared it by grabbing on to it and precisely lowering down to get that lol. Then sometime later I watched TAS and speedrunners do this level and I realized how dumb I was xD. At least I did it normally when I went for the 2C golden last month.

@@win2ette I've tried to post the link to the mod itself but youtube is being a bit of a pain with links. All celeste mods are on gamebananna, and the modding scene overall is quite active. There are a few tutorials out there if you want to get started, it's pretty easy to do.

135 deaths on 7C first try is not good at the game. Really fucking hurts. To see he’s at this point with only 11 hours on file as well. Like fuck me. I think I got near 1000 deaths on 7C. And don’t even get me started on the first room of 5C. He did that shit in like 3 tries. It took me half an hour to get that one room. (It was in the middle of the night on vacation with my shitty laptop, but even at home I think it’d take me at least 20 minutes. I hope he realizes at some point that just because the death count seems high (3 digits) it doesn’t mean that he sucks. On the contrary he’s probably in the top 1-2% on their first play through. He should multiply his death count by 5-10 to get the average Celeste experience.

at farewell subchapter, after hitting the power box, go left and up, there’s a nice path to follow. respawn point only appears when you reach the big platform with springs on it, so don’t die
then there’s a nice puzzle, and a screen involving jellyfish. glhf

it is very unlikely for you to do farewell’s golden, so if you get a berry, it’s highly likely to be the moon berry

I thought I did well on the c sides today, with a peak of 700 deaths on 5c, 500 on 7c and the others stay on the 70/200 count, but you sir, have absolutly no right to say that you are bad for reaching at max a mere 150 death count.
