I think you must not be familiar with kayaking. It's not surprising at all that this was a winning run. Clean runs look effortless. The spread between Dane and second place was OVER 10 seconds. When do you see spreads like that in professional sports? Not often. Also considering this is the first sub four minute run, also not surprising that he won. It's never been done this fast in the race.
