Most viable adcs seem to go eclipse into collector like jhin, miss fortune and senna. Samira uses shieldbow really well and ezreal's 2 item powerspike got alot cheaper so hes pretty good imo. Kaisa is decent with multiple builds but apart from that adc is really bad. All champs that completely rely on crit are dogshit and other types of champs got 4 times stronger with the new items while most adcs got worse or only a little bit better. I have no idea why theyre not buffing runaans. I like the idea of the item but its stupid expensive and sneaky is lowkey trolling imo by building it second. He got ahead again but then had to wait until like minute 23 to get 6800 worth of gold for only two items. Runaans should be sick lategame tho but its really hard to get past 3 items if everything is so expensive.
Sneaky is putting a lot of thought into the adc items, it's gonna suck when he realizes literally any other classes items are just better on adc's rn lol
@@swordyshield I think the new items are a step in the right direction but a bit underpowered. lethality is just better now atm numbers wise and jhin is definitely at the extreme of that.

Adc was decent last season. We gonna ignore the 40% pick rate ezreal 20% pick rate Ash at the same time? Or when cait was over buffed and became the most broken champ in the game for a patch or 2, Samira and aphelios on release. I'll admit the current adc items are fucking trash but you can't act like adc is useless every season
@@ChloeDReid I think those are broken champs, not adc as a whole. Even then, they were broken compared to other adcs imo and strong when considering every other champion, but not broken.
@@christianlee5666 ezreal will always find a way to abuse items just by the nature of his abilities, also im sure there are many other ad players who feel like i do, wherein i dont play ADC to play IBG, manamune deaths dance ezreal every game. i wanna be able to play tristana or jinx and hyperscale to late game and orbwalk etc.
rageblade was broken on ashe but got hofixed. her passive bonus dmg gets disabled if you get rageblade or the component( rageknife i think thats the name)
yea im not sure if this was before or after the hotfix because if you dont realize guinsoos was really good on ashe I dont think you understand the items at all.
Another important note is that Lifesteal is more effective if you do more damage, you can have twice the lifesteal with half the damage and still heal yourself the same for if you had half the lifesteal and twice the damage. The defensive output is the same, yet youre killing the enemy far faster.
The whole discussion in the beginning is what I've been thinking about this past week after the first couple days on the patch. I field like Shieldbow is such a noobtrap. It feels like it should be good. You get some AD, some AS, some crit, lifesteal, and a shield, but you're setting yourself up to do no damage. Like the Mythic passive from Kraken and even from Galeforce is so much more useful than the +5 bonus AD and +50 bonus health of shieldbow. You're gimping your whole build just to be able to survive one more Kha'zix Q than usual. It's just not worth it. Just pray that enemy assassins don't get fed and position well to not get hard fucked in teamfights is your only hope because the defensive items are just not good to build early. Like building Shieldbow is just conceding your lane. You're gimping yourself so that you don't feed hopefully. You're playing weak side on purpose. (Unless you're Samira). While the philosophy behind this mythic-legendary system is to make item builds more varied and situational, it seems like for ADCs not much has changed. You still need to focus on building your own damage for the first 2-3 items before you even think about building for the enemy team.
this is why i had so much love and respect for the 1st old c9 Roaster every individual player had his own ideology passion and thoughts on how to play the game instead of current lcs where everyone just copy korea and china
The problem I'm noticing is Riot thinks the effects of items are so valuable that having awful stats is fine. I stand by my take that Riot doesn't understand how ADC functions nearly enough.
Its because of champs like yasuo, yone, and tryndamere. Because of them, adc items cant be less expensive or stronger. Since if those items buffs the adcs, then these free crits champs would be OP for a long time. Additionally, they build adc items but also counters adcs overall. Therefore, untill their free crits gets gutted or adc items because adc only, our main lane would just be leftovers.
@Jayden Tan It still does shit even with 4 items due to crit damage nerfs and nerfs on ie. Adding to that, by the time the game gets that late the game is already decided.
I think BORK over Runaan's actually might have been the play here. While I'm not saying the dmg or whatnot from Runaan's is bad, it's just that in this game there was never a time where needing to do the aoe dmg seemed impactful over the kiting ability and survivability that BORK would have added. The one clip that sneaky showed at the end with Runaan's, yes he did a truckload of damage with runaan's....but was going to die no matter what, and the kill on katarina didn't matter. The most relevant fight of the game would have been at 18:40, after the pick on Morgana and the fight at Baron. Runaan's basically did no extra damage, while BORK would have kept sneaky at meaningful (if not full) life , would have provided extra slows on some characters do to the passive and extra single target damage possibly allowing Mundo or Jax to get killed instead of barely just getting away, and would have allowed allowed the extra burst of movespeed to help either with the kill, or to disengage faster. The entire reason that fight went south is that sneaky barely died allowing Katarina to reset. The lifesteal alone might have been enough to nullify that fight. Another instance is at 20:15. With BORK instead of Runaan's, i'm positive that Katarina would have been dead. instead of again just barely surviving the pick on Rumble. With all this however, there obviously comes the disadvantage of his ability to waveclear, which definitely helped his team. The last fight on it's own, without that wave clear sneaky would have been stuck just killing minions the entire time potentially. He theoretically would be at full life, but without having him as added pressure against the attacking enemy team definitely would have crippled his team at that moment. However his team is so far behind which might not have happened if he survived, or if they won the first engagement I bring up. In any case, my point is that I think there is some talk about BORK over Runaan's, which Sneaky completely dismissed. Whether or not it would have won them the game is questionable, but I just think it's not an outright Runaan's everytime. Examples would have been if the enemy team had less assassin's or highly mobile champs that can do damage, so a Oriana and Ornn instead of Kat and Jax. At that point, the extra AoE definitely would have been better since they'd have such a tough time reaching sneaky.
I cannot state how helpful this video was in reinstating my beliefs; I've been playing League for about 5 months and I recently returned to playing AD Carry [on my second champ Ashe] with a premade support. I was playing what I now refer to as a troll build where I build ability haste w IS & tiamat. Needless to say I found my damage would always fall off till I got to my third or fourth item. Basically what this means is we either uber lose lane/game or giga smurf and win. The build was complete ass [cdr on ult is nice though], Ashe is just so powerful that it worked either way. Anyway from now all i'll build is Kraken till maybe another item rework/change.
@@yuumi1249 Shields don't care about grievous. Nor do MS buffs, AS buffs, Lulu ult, ect. Healing isn't all enchanters do. Enchanters are nutty right now, the issue is the ADCs you partner them with. Any enchanter with Ashe is good. Samira and Jhin want engagers, not enchanters though. So it's just a weird meta thing.
@@Bladius_ Yea but quite a lot of enchanters have healing, moonstone has healing, and adc's have healing. They also added anti shielding in the game, and assasing are a top tier class rn. What is there to buff if the games go very fast and you can die in 1 sec?
@@Bladius_ Now on the topic of adc's, Samira doesn't need an enchanter if you play her right, she also benefits from tank supports cuz or her P, Ashe is also a great pick on it's own, and so is Jhin. They are prolly the top 3 adc's rn, they dont need an enchanter. Examples of adc's that need enchanters to be good are Twich, Kog'Maw, arguably Vayne, and 2/3 I just mentioned aren't doing too hot.
I usually go Tear , then Galeforce and tier 1 boot. Build Full crit and sell Tier 1 boot as soon as I have enough MS and then I upgrade to Muramane at some point. With Galeforce you still have a minimum of 407 Ms without Boots ( while going Crit items without MS )and can go 100 % Crit with Muramane on hit dmg and Galeforce Dash. Usually go that Build on Mana taxing Adc like Lucian. Seems like the best build to me right now. But Riot promised to buff Adc Crit items and Crit or the Champs in general
Yo guys, quick question. Do you guys think 1st backs are weaker this season? Because whenever I am playing any role, I just feel weaker in my 1st back when compared to previous seasons. It might just be something in my head but I wanna hear your opinion
for me not really. although when i play a tank jungler and dont buy bambi 1st back it does feel kinda trash since its 1000g now.ive played every role and archetype except top so i cant really say for top.
A big thing is items are just stupidly expensive in general. They're pushing for 2 to 3 items (or a support 1 and half some times depending) and then the game ends. No way they plan on full builds being a thing unless they're promoting extreme land slide victories or stupidly long games. One of the things HotS did right was 20 minutes being a really long game instead of 20 minutes being short or "standard" at best. You could argue the items can be high impact but some of the best items are cheaper (nashers for example). That and I'm just a fan of seeing half the damage or more done to me on a recount being "item damage". That already tilted me with Bork as a tank, now it's everyone has fun with it. Also I think the mentality of, "someone else should be building anti-healing," doesn't really fly in soloqueue. If it's urgent sometimes you just have to build at least a component because no one else was even starting it but Cho and until he finished thornmail and then lands a knockup on the target bramble is kind of useless. That said I don't think it really matters that much here. As a support I have to dump gold into the new item or an executioners a lot due to people refusing to build it and instead cry about healing champs.
Great point, you need to be attacking for LS to be effective, all the burst around the bonus LS from shieldbow is meh. Season 10 ADC (with stacked bloodline) vs burst: IE+PD= 6000g= 80AD/50%CSC/225%CS/30%AS/12%LS VS IS+PD= 5900g= 55AD/40%CSC/175%CS/55%AS/21%LS/+50HP with slightly stronger shield (around 15%). The shield in these two are almost the same, the net lifesteal is almost the same too, despite being less LS base in S10 eg, the net life steal is increases due to you dealing at least 45% higher base AD, and up to 60% more damage on crits (with 10% more crit chance)... Its a no brainer, position better and have the higher damage anyway, one can argue new PD has Spectral Waltz but after 5 auto attacks, nuh. I think maybe running IS BT with overheal, and building other HP and lifesteal items into mages and assassins may have a place but then again Serpents Fang... Also good luck trying to use that extra Lifeline vs collector fark harvest and coup de grace
You are right Sneaky. When it comes to builds. There is your standard. But then you sometimes have to optimize towards the match itself. I have my builds in MLBB. But will optimize if needed if I played humans and not CPU.
Yeah, the other day I got autofilled as ADC and nobody wanted to trade roles so I had to do it. I picked Tristana and went Shieldbow just because they had a Kha. The item actually helped me survive, but that was it, I did nothing that game, lol. I feel Shieldbow would be good for champions like Master Yi because it works in a similar way as how Wit's End used to and that was pretty much the only thing making Yi useful most of the time, but I don't think it's a good item unless you have a lot of damage dealers in your team and you just want to chill and get carried.
Doesn't Tristana basically get 100% uptime on her Q in combat after quickblade +2 other crit items? I feel like you would have some crazy damage as long as you can survive the initial burst.
@Overlord Mcchickenz maybe, but on paper not having to itemize for AS and the buffs to her E should leave her with a comparatively higher damage output than many of the other ADC's rn.
tbh i dont see anything good execpt extra gold in collector... 5% of max hp is 50 per 1khp, for 5k(!)HP Tank its only 250 extra DMG... This item straight up sucks

At this point I think all the AD mythics are pretty much a bait first buy. They're too expensive and they don't give much even with their passives early. But later on they're actually better when you have 2-3 items that actually do something. Getting attackspeed early is just too trash without the AD, especially with the crit nerfs, and buying mythics first forces you to build AS into your build. Like unless you're building an on-hit build AS was always really bad. Just looking at the previous builds for the top ADC's last patch you would try to get two BF items before you even got your zeal items. Stormrazer/IE>Rapidfire(Cait), IE/Essence>PD(MF, Samira). Jhin/Ashe get away with other things because they have inherently strong kits. And now look at Jhin. He's by far the best ADC because he can convert his AS into AD. The fact is nothing has changed, it's just that we've all been tricked into buying the wrong stats at the wrong time because of these "powerful" Mythics.
Sooooo which ad items should ADCs buy? No items give high ad anymore except kraken ie collector quickblades and ie/quickblades first item isn’t good at all.

i think, the new mystics have really good build paths as they very easy to build compared to ie, bt and the old er, but the ad value of the mystic items with its price tag is just a fcking joke, the ad value needs buffed, or the price needs lowered... and that low ad value needing buffed, needs to go across most adc items, literally assassin items are cheaper and offer better ad values and have better passives..... the way i've choosen to build adcs now, is galeforce into collector, sanguine blade, edge of night, then a zeal item depending on the champ, but personally been going runaan's hurricane, then selling boots for another leth item, and thats why i build galeforce to i can replace boots and still have decent movespeed... that build defs not gonna work for every adc, but its best i can see on terms of actual usability...
the only thing i would have done different in the ashe game would be cut down instead of coup de grace, BUT and a cost for early dmg in lane. This is just proof crit is too weak atm vs the burst, fights are just not lasting long enough for it to be effective around 3 items marks especially vs tanks. Lethality ADCs are just too way more effective early on, even if it means bursting out only 1 target out a team fight...
shieldbow strong because of the lifesteal by base compared to the other 2, and PD shield+maw lifesteal, until its nerfed and krakenslayer (maybe galeforce too) is buffed its gonna just be the best one (on average) because its just a big pile of stats n survivability 27% lifesteal and a pd shield is nuts you definitely want a dmg item after the shieldbow but free tankiness on adc is op, theres a reason they nerfed grasp for ranged after the 1v1 tourney at allstars
does anyone know if SNAKY has said anything about Jhin itemization? i know pros generally build Eclipse on him but has no one tried Galeforce? seems pretty good to me, no?
I think the biggest issue with Galeforce is the passive of 3% movement speed. Just not worth it, you are leaving tons of stats for a mini flash. He did talk about it in a previous video thou and said it was nice if the enemy team had big ccs you could dodge with it
Ashe is pretty strong early game and can turn a lot of fights early. I tried tear and it affects that a lot. But u can buy it right after 1300g item and u still gonna be on like 350/450 stscks on tear. Tears gets buffed from 450 to 360 and starting mana increase so it might be the way now.
KS buffs should help, but IMO the early game life steal + shield helps so much at the time when solo laners are just getting their first item. Also, whoever gets shieldbow first bot wins the lane without jungle intervention. KS is high risk high reward, but all of the solo laners can kill you just as easy as last season and some of them have gotten better at it. Shieldbow just seems more consistent.
What about the 25% to 20% crit change? You used to be able to get 100 with 4 items and something defensive Now you need 5 but don't deal damage any time of the game for the fake feeling of survivability
I've been maining adcs since s1, for years i've tried different builds, min-maxed a lot of stuff like going full damage or crazy lifesteal builds, but what i found out is that the best builds are the ones that are "balanced" the most. What i mean by balance is, you can't go 6 damage items, you'll evaporate, you can't go 6 defensive items you'll deal no damage. It's best to have a well rounded build, basically you go for your two core damage items, like IE ER or Botrk Guinsoo, after that you go either BT if you're crit or PD if you're on-hit, this covers almost everything with just 3 items, you have lifesteal, damage and a shield. After that you can go for more damage or in my opinion preferably for more Utility/Defense, like GA, QSS or Mortal Reminder. I haven't played in a few months, but with this new items as i see almost nothing changed, if you go shieldbow first you get your lifesteal and shield in one item, which sounds amazing to me, but you have to go 2 damage items afterwards, if you go kraken you go 2 damage items first and then your lifesteal item. But in the end and after probably over 15-20k games of ADCs, i concluded that most of it is down to simply your champions kit. For example, Tristana has the biggest AA range, crazy mobility, burst and self-peel. Playing her, especially in lower leagues will always feel good no matter the build you get, your kit just lets you survive easier than lets say Jinx, who can build more lifesteal, more mobility and more defensive items than Tristana but will never feel as safe due to lack of built-in options. The other good example is Lethality Varus, he doesn't need to build BT,PD,DD or whatever to survive, he can go full damage and still feel unkillable just because of the fact that he can be a screen away and still murder your team, obviously that's why he got the nerf hammer. Samira is the newest example of this, and as sneaky said in the vid, you can build whatever on her and it will feel good.
I disagree, you have to full all damage items with crit to do any damage in season 2021. In 2020 you could go split it up and go balanced, but now they have nuked itemization variety and forced people into strict builds.

just cuz i play lucian, it feels ok on him when you aren't getting hard cc-ed in the time when your shieldbow gets procced. otherwise it's definietly a "lose more" item
I wanna see more people try out Rageblade Ashe. It feels really good to me, so I'm interested to know what people in high elo would think after trying it.
Honestly Rageblade Ashe has always worked imho. People used to build Ashe with Botrk Runaans Rageblade then go tanky like randuins and spirit visage type items and still deal massive dmg in prev seasons. The real kicker here is that right now Rageblade is 2600 gold for an effective 100 on-hit dmg second item. Runaan's at 3400 puts an 800g differential that really isn't an impact. I would say build into Runaan's 3rd, but not going Rageblade 2nd item is just gimping imho. The item is too gold-dmg efficient. You can decimate a game for cheap AF if you role Kraken > Rageblade > PD. (8,900g) for 60AD, 165%AS, 60%Crit = 120 on-hit dmg, along with guinsoo's and Kraken's passives. Switch the PD for Runaan's 3rd if you're teamfighting but as far as Damage to Gold efficiency goes it should always be Kraken into Rageblade imho.
@@StereotypicalShea If you buy Rageblade on Ashe now, you lose the extra damage from her passive. You get 40 on hit damage per 20% crit, vs a 15% damage boost per 20% crit + the flat 110%, not factoring in IE. If you have 200 AD and 40% crit, your autos would do 280, vs doing 290 with Rageblade. Once you hit 208 AD, the non Rageblade build would outscale the Rageblade build
@@ksdden8879 It's about gold efficiency. If your games are lasting that long, trade the item out sure. But realistically speaking going Kraken into Rageblade will always be more effective to push power spikes considering it's 800g cheaper and more damage early. Even though you're losing the extra dmg from her passive (which isn't much btw) you'll still be doing higher DPS than if you went any other build considering Guinsoo's on-hit passive and how it effectively buffs all other on-hit items. Go Kraken Rageblade then Kraken Runaans in Practice Tool, and you'll see how much stronger you actually are for 800g less gold.
@@ksdden8879 Your math is wrong there and I honestly can't figure out how you managed to get 290 damage. At 200AD and 40% crit rageblade averages 307 each attack(2 attacks at 280 then 1 at 360) while no rageblade hits at 280 each auto and if you factor the IE passive it hits at 304 damage. You need to redo your math I think. As for the AD breakpoint of when Rageblade does more damage than IE that is actually 220AD if you have 40% crit. Any more than 220AD and the IE passive is going to be better than the rageblade passive. If you aren't counting the IE passive the AD breakpoint for when rageblade starts reducing your damage per attack is 294 AD with 40% crit. (I think my math is right on this last bit, it might be wrong. I been up all night and am sleepy af)
@@pureityXXX For starters IE does not do anything to Rageblade, and if you were to go Kraken into IE, it would instantly out scale RB due to critting every auto, it's just not a good build. Basic attacks against enemies with Frost deal 110% (+ (75% + 6% to 30% 6% to 30%) of critical strike chance) modified damage. This is the math on Ashe passive, the 6%-30% in the middle is IE so we'll exclude that. So your attacks do 3/4 of your crit chance in bonus damage plus the base 110%, so if you have 40% crit chance you take 3/4 of that plus the base and it comes out to 140%. So at 200 AD with 40% crit chance, you would do 140% on your crit autos, which comes out to 280.
an armor item wouldnt fix anything. the issue lies with ADCs needing so much money to do any lethal dmg. right now theyre just too reliant on their support/team to not get 1shot.

@suck urmum i remember the time IE doubled your crit chance and got 120% with 3 itens and the story Begin. -> ie dont Double anymore because u were dumping money with 20% useless crit. -> crit chance of zeal itens reduced and everything ia 25% so.. u need 4 itens. I could Deal with dumping money spending 8k in 3 instead 11k and one more slot tô get 100%. Imagine they reduced everything tô 25% before changing IE again... ->now everything gives 20% and the damage of everything sucks

doublelift claims rageblade -> pd is a good build (not sure if its only good on kog or not) but i don't understand why this shouldnt work on ashe too, if it works on kog?
Well, the only ADCs that can easily avoid CC/ganks are Samira and Ezreal, both are broken as fuck, and SB only works for Samira since Ez goes either TriForce or DS
she loses both the extra slow and the extra damage from her passive. iirc, when guinsoos was first was changed it didnt get rid of ashe's bonus passive damage, so ashe + guinsoos was completely busted for a short time, allowing 185% damage autos + 200 on hit physical damage with 100% crit chance.
Hey this is the first time i didn't really understand what sneaky meant about the wave management thing. He mentioned a change? I didn't realize there was one and it seemed like it made a difference on the outcome of the slow push that normal. Love all the explanations you do and I usually get it, but that one kinda lost me. Still enjoyed the video
I do think that shieldbow is overrated but kraken is not good either, the damage it provides is similar to red buff imo but worse because no slow. Hopefull the buff on it will help. I have been trying galeforce and its just okay too. tbh all adc items feel weak. I like the changes but they do not seem to be in a good state currently
its definitely a lack of stats imo riot values the item effects too much. i'd be really surprised if they buffed crit to 25%(if they did they'd have to nerf guinsoos) I think they'll just buff stats across the board from the looks of it.
I don't know how but is everyone losing the point that ADC lost like 40% crit dmg potential even at late game? That's why crit stats sucks ass now and with it 80% of the ADC roster. Crit damage is now down to 175% with IE giving 0.4% per 1% crit that's 40% at maximum (215% crit dmg total) in a full build 100% crit rate state which is impossible now with how fast game goes and with critical rate nerf. It's just bad, they just killed the core gameplay of ADCs for a illusion of "diversity in build paths" while buffing everyone else specially tanks.
Shieldbow sounds good on those hyper aspd characters but heres the thing, If you heal and survive while also not buying kraken slayer, you basically just prolong the fight, they live longer = you can also die faster cause they can get cooldowns, kraken kills faster, gives more aspd, tank shred.

Also due to the fact that assassin items are op.
Lethality Mythics are just better especially Eclipse, then you can go Crit and you have much more damage than building Kraken or Shieldbow
Most viable adcs seem to go eclipse into collector like jhin, miss fortune and senna. Samira uses shieldbow really well and ezreal's 2 item powerspike got alot cheaper so hes pretty good imo. Kaisa is decent with multiple builds but apart from that adc is really bad. All champs that completely rely on crit are dogshit and other types of champs got 4 times stronger with the new items while most adcs got worse or only a little bit better.
I have no idea why theyre not buffing runaans. I like the idea of the item but its stupid expensive and sneaky is lowkey trolling imo by building it second. He got ahead again but then had to wait until like minute 23 to get 6800 worth of gold for only two items. Runaans should be sick lategame tho but its really hard to get past 3 items if everything is so expensive.

Another important note is that Lifesteal is more effective if you do more damage, you can have twice the lifesteal with half the damage and still heal yourself the same for if you had half the lifesteal and twice the damage. The defensive output is the same, yet youre killing the enemy far faster.

The whole discussion in the beginning is what I've been thinking about this past week after the first couple days on the patch. I field like Shieldbow is such a noobtrap. It feels like it should be good. You get some AD, some AS, some crit, lifesteal, and a shield, but you're setting yourself up to do no damage. Like the Mythic passive from Kraken and even from Galeforce is so much more useful than the +5 bonus AD and +50 bonus health of shieldbow. You're gimping your whole build just to be able to survive one more Kha'zix Q than usual. It's just not worth it. Just pray that enemy assassins don't get fed and position well to not get hard fucked in teamfights is your only hope because the defensive items are just not good to build early. Like building Shieldbow is just conceding your lane. You're gimping yourself so that you don't feed hopefully. You're playing weak side on purpose. (Unless you're Samira). While the philosophy behind this mythic-legendary system is to make item builds more varied and situational, it seems like for ADCs not much has changed. You still need to focus on building your own damage for the first 2-3 items before you even think about building for the enemy team.

The problem I'm noticing is Riot thinks the effects of items are so valuable that having awful stats is fine. I stand by my take that Riot doesn't understand how ADC functions nearly enough.
Its because of champs like yasuo, yone, and tryndamere. Because of them, adc items cant be less expensive or stronger. Since if those items buffs the adcs, then these free crits champs would be OP for a long time. Additionally, they build adc items but also counters adcs overall.
Therefore, untill their free crits gets gutted or adc items because adc only, our main lane would just be leftovers.

I think BORK over Runaan's actually might have been the play here. While I'm not saying the dmg or whatnot from Runaan's is bad, it's just that in this game there was never a time where needing to do the aoe dmg seemed impactful over the kiting ability and survivability that BORK would have added. The one clip that sneaky showed at the end with Runaan's, yes he did a truckload of damage with runaan's....but was going to die no matter what, and the kill on katarina didn't matter. The most relevant fight of the game would have been at 18:40, after the pick on Morgana and the fight at Baron. Runaan's basically did no extra damage, while BORK would have kept sneaky at meaningful (if not full) life , would have provided extra slows on some characters do to the passive and extra single target damage possibly allowing Mundo or Jax to get killed instead of barely just getting away, and would have allowed allowed the extra burst of movespeed to help either with the kill, or to disengage faster. The entire reason that fight went south is that sneaky barely died allowing Katarina to reset. The lifesteal alone might have been enough to nullify that fight. Another instance is at 20:15. With BORK instead of Runaan's, i'm positive that Katarina would have been dead. instead of again just barely surviving the pick on Rumble.
With all this however, there obviously comes the disadvantage of his ability to waveclear, which definitely helped his team. The last fight on it's own, without that wave clear sneaky would have been stuck just killing minions the entire time potentially. He theoretically would be at full life, but without having him as added pressure against the attacking enemy team definitely would have crippled his team at that moment. However his team is so far behind which might not have happened if he survived, or if they won the first engagement I bring up.
In any case, my point is that I think there is some talk about BORK over Runaan's, which Sneaky completely dismissed. Whether or not it would have won them the game is questionable, but I just think it's not an outright Runaan's everytime. Examples would have been if the enemy team had less assassin's or highly mobile champs that can do damage, so a Oriana and Ornn instead of Kat and Jax. At that point, the extra AoE definitely would have been better since they'd have such a tough time reaching sneaky.

I cannot state how helpful this video was in reinstating my beliefs; I've been playing League for about 5 months and I recently returned to playing AD Carry [on my second champ Ashe] with a premade support.
I was playing what I now refer to as a troll build where I build ability haste w IS & tiamat. Needless to say I found my damage would always fall off till I got to my third or fourth item. Basically what this means is we either uber lose lane/game or giga smurf and win. The build was complete ass [cdr on ult is nice though], Ashe is just so powerful that it worked either way. Anyway from now all i'll build is Kraken till maybe another item rework/change.
I go kraken as Ashe and will die to a Zed 🙏💀
When moonstone gets buffed, shieldbow won't be needed as much. Assuming you have an enchanter I mean.
Griveous wounds as a whole got buffed so there will need to be some serious changes to enchanters for them to remain remotely viable

Enchanters are nutty right now, the issue is the ADCs you partner them with. Any enchanter with Ashe is good.
Samira and Jhin want engagers, not enchanters though. So it's just a weird meta thing.

I usually go Tear , then Galeforce and tier 1 boot. Build Full crit and sell Tier 1 boot as soon as I have enough MS and then I upgrade to Muramane at some point.
With Galeforce you still have a minimum of 407 Ms without Boots ( while going Crit items without MS )and can go 100 % Crit with Muramane on hit dmg and Galeforce Dash.
Usually go that Build on Mana taxing Adc like Lucian. Seems like the best build to me right now.

Yo guys, quick question. Do you guys think 1st backs are weaker this season? Because whenever I am playing any role, I just feel weaker in my 1st back when compared to previous seasons. It might just be something in my head but I wanna hear your opinion
for me not really. although when i play a tank jungler and dont buy bambi 1st back it does feel kinda trash since its 1000g now.ive played every role and archetype except top so i cant really say for top.
A big thing is items are just stupidly expensive in general. They're pushing for 2 to 3 items (or a support 1 and half some times depending) and then the game ends. No way they plan on full builds being a thing unless they're promoting extreme land slide victories or stupidly long games. One of the things HotS did right was 20 minutes being a really long game instead of 20 minutes being short or "standard" at best. You could argue the items can be high impact but some of the best items are cheaper (nashers for example). That and I'm just a fan of seeing half the damage or more done to me on a recount being "item damage". That already tilted me with Bork as a tank, now it's everyone has fun with it.
Also I think the mentality of, "someone else should be building anti-healing," doesn't really fly in soloqueue. If it's urgent sometimes you just have to build at least a component because no one else was even starting it but Cho and until he finished thornmail and then lands a knockup on the target bramble is kind of useless. That said I don't think it really matters that much here. As a support I have to dump gold into the new item or an executioners a lot due to people refusing to build it and instead cry about healing champs.

Great point, you need to be attacking for LS to be effective, all the burst around the bonus LS from shieldbow is meh. Season 10 ADC (with stacked bloodline) vs burst: IE+PD= 6000g= 80AD/50%CSC/225%CS/30%AS/12%LS VS IS+PD= 5900g= 55AD/40%CSC/175%CS/55%AS/21%LS/+50HP with slightly stronger shield (around 15%). The shield in these two are almost the same, the net lifesteal is almost the same too, despite being less LS base in S10 eg, the net life steal is increases due to you dealing at least 45% higher base AD, and up to 60% more damage on crits (with 10% more crit chance)... Its a no brainer, position better and have the higher damage anyway, one can argue new PD has Spectral Waltz but after 5 auto attacks, nuh. I think maybe running IS BT with overheal, and building other HP and lifesteal items into mages and assassins may have a place but then again Serpents Fang... Also good luck trying to use that extra Lifeline vs collector fark harvest and coup de grace

Yeah, the other day I got autofilled as ADC and nobody wanted to trade roles so I had to do it. I picked Tristana and went Shieldbow just because they had a Kha. The item actually helped me survive, but that was it, I did nothing that game, lol.
I feel Shieldbow would be good for champions like Master Yi because it works in a similar way as how Wit's End used to and that was pretty much the only thing making Yi useful most of the time, but I don't think it's a good item unless you have a lot of damage dealers in your team and you just want to chill and get carried.
Doesn't Tristana basically get 100% uptime on her Q in combat after quickblade +2 other crit items? I feel like you would have some crazy damage as long as you can survive the initial burst.

At this point I think all the AD mythics are pretty much a bait first buy. They're too expensive and they don't give much even with their passives early. But later on they're actually better when you have 2-3 items that actually do something. Getting attackspeed early is just too trash without the AD, especially with the crit nerfs, and buying mythics first forces you to build AS into your build. Like unless you're building an on-hit build AS was always really bad. Just looking at the previous builds for the top ADC's last patch you would try to get two BF items before you even got your zeal items. Stormrazer/IE>Rapidfire(Cait), IE/Essence>PD(MF, Samira). Jhin/Ashe get away with other things because they have inherently strong kits. And now look at Jhin. He's by far the best ADC because he can convert his AS into AD. The fact is nothing has changed, it's just that we've all been tricked into buying the wrong stats at the wrong time because of these "powerful" Mythics.

i think, the new mystics have really good build paths as they very easy to build compared to ie, bt and the old er, but the ad value of the mystic items with its price tag is just a fcking joke, the ad value needs buffed, or the price needs lowered... and that low ad value needing buffed, needs to go across most adc items, literally assassin items are cheaper and offer better ad values and have better passives..... the way i've choosen to build adcs now, is galeforce into collector, sanguine blade, edge of night, then a zeal item depending on the champ, but personally been going runaan's hurricane, then selling boots for another leth item, and thats why i build galeforce to i can replace boots and still have decent movespeed... that build defs not gonna work for every adc, but its best i can see on terms of actual usability...

the only thing i would have done different in the ashe game would be cut down instead of coup de grace, BUT and a cost for early dmg in lane. This is just proof crit is too weak atm vs the burst, fights are just not lasting long enough for it to be effective around 3 items marks especially vs tanks. Lethality ADCs are just too way more effective early on, even if it means bursting out only 1 target out a team fight...

I think the biggest issue with Galeforce is the passive of 3% movement speed. Just not worth it, you are leaving tons of stats for a mini flash. He did talk about it in a previous video thou and said it was nice if the enemy team had big ccs you could dodge with it

Ashe is pretty strong early game and can turn a lot of fights early. I tried tear and it affects that a lot. But u can buy it right after 1300g item and u still gonna be on like 350/450 stscks on tear. Tears gets buffed from 450 to 360 and starting mana increase so it might be the way now.

KS buffs should help, but IMO the early game life steal + shield helps so much at the time when solo laners are just getting their first item. Also, whoever gets shieldbow first bot wins the lane without jungle intervention. KS is high risk high reward, but all of the solo laners can kill you just as easy as last season and some of them have gotten better at it. Shieldbow just seems more consistent.

I've been maining adcs since s1, for years i've tried different builds, min-maxed a lot of stuff like going full damage or crazy lifesteal builds, but what i found out is that the best builds are the ones that are "balanced" the most.
What i mean by balance is, you can't go 6 damage items, you'll evaporate, you can't go 6 defensive items you'll deal no damage.
It's best to have a well rounded build, basically you go for your two core damage items, like IE ER or Botrk Guinsoo, after that you go either BT if you're crit or PD if you're on-hit, this covers almost everything with just 3 items, you have lifesteal, damage and a shield.
After that you can go for more damage or in my opinion preferably for more Utility/Defense, like GA, QSS or Mortal Reminder.
I haven't played in a few months, but with this new items as i see almost nothing changed, if you go shieldbow first you get your lifesteal and shield in one item, which sounds amazing to me, but you have to go 2 damage items afterwards, if you go kraken you go 2 damage items first and then your lifesteal item.
But in the end and after probably over 15-20k games of ADCs, i concluded that most of it is down to simply your champions kit. For example, Tristana has the biggest AA range, crazy mobility, burst and self-peel. Playing her, especially in lower leagues will always feel good no matter the build you get, your kit just lets you survive easier than lets say Jinx, who can build more lifesteal, more mobility and more defensive items than Tristana but will never feel as safe due to lack of built-in options.
The other good example is Lethality Varus, he doesn't need to build BT,PD,DD or whatever to survive, he can go full damage and still feel unkillable just because of the fact that he can be a screen away and still murder your team, obviously that's why he got the nerf hammer. Samira is the newest example of this, and as sneaky said in the vid, you can build whatever on her and it will feel good.
The problem is ALL critical strike items give no damage stats and all critical items cost 3000-3400.
I disagree, you have to full all damage items with crit to do any damage in season 2021. In 2020 you could go split it up and go balanced, but now they have nuked itemization variety and forced people into strict builds.

Eclipse + Collector are best items for doing dmg this patch. Those are core. Overall, asssassin items do more dmg than crit build
just cuz i play lucian, it feels ok on him when you aren't getting hard cc-ed in the time when your shieldbow gets procced. otherwise it's definietly a "lose more" item
I wanna see more people try out Rageblade Ashe. It feels really good to me, so I'm interested to know what people in high elo would think after trying it.
Honestly Rageblade Ashe has always worked imho. People used to build Ashe with Botrk Runaans Rageblade then go tanky like randuins and spirit visage type items and still deal massive dmg in prev seasons. The real kicker here is that right now Rageblade is 2600 gold for an effective 100 on-hit dmg second item. Runaan's at 3400 puts an 800g differential that really isn't an impact. I would say build into Runaan's 3rd, but not going Rageblade 2nd item is just gimping imho. The item is too gold-dmg efficient. You can decimate a game for cheap AF if you role Kraken > Rageblade > PD. (8,900g) for 60AD, 165%AS, 60%Crit = 120 on-hit dmg, along with guinsoo's and Kraken's passives. Switch the PD for Runaan's 3rd if you're teamfighting but as far as Damage to Gold efficiency goes it should always be Kraken into Rageblade imho.
@@StereotypicalShea If you buy Rageblade on Ashe now, you lose the extra damage from her passive. You get 40 on hit damage per 20% crit, vs a 15% damage boost per 20% crit + the flat 110%, not factoring in IE. If you have 200 AD and 40% crit, your autos would do 280, vs doing 290 with Rageblade. Once you hit 208 AD, the non Rageblade build would outscale the Rageblade build
@@ksdden8879 It's about gold efficiency. If your games are lasting that long, trade the item out sure. But realistically speaking going Kraken into Rageblade will always be more effective to push power spikes considering it's 800g cheaper and more damage early. Even though you're losing the extra dmg from her passive (which isn't much btw) you'll still be doing higher DPS than if you went any other build considering Guinsoo's on-hit passive and how it effectively buffs all other on-hit items. Go Kraken Rageblade then Kraken Runaans in Practice Tool, and you'll see how much stronger you actually are for 800g less gold.
@@ksdden8879 Your math is wrong there and I honestly can't figure out how you managed to get 290 damage. At 200AD and 40% crit rageblade averages 307 each attack(2 attacks at 280 then 1 at 360) while no rageblade hits at 280 each auto and if you factor the IE passive it hits at 304 damage. You need to redo your math I think.
As for the AD breakpoint of when Rageblade does more damage than IE that is actually 220AD if you have 40% crit. Any more than 220AD and the IE passive is going to be better than the rageblade passive. If you aren't counting the IE passive the AD breakpoint for when rageblade starts reducing your damage per attack is 294 AD with 40% crit. (I think my math is right on this last bit, it might be wrong. I been up all night and am sleepy af)
@@pureityXXX For starters IE does not do anything to Rageblade, and if you were to go Kraken into IE, it would instantly out scale RB due to critting every auto, it's just not a good build. Basic attacks against enemies with Frost deal 110% (+ (75% + 6% to 30% 6% to 30%) of critical strike chance) modified damage. This is the math on Ashe passive, the 6%-30% in the middle is IE so we'll exclude that. So your attacks do 3/4 of your crit chance in bonus damage plus the base 110%, so if you have 40% crit chance you take 3/4 of that plus the base and it comes out to 140%. So at 200 AD with 40% crit chance, you would do 140% on your crit autos, which comes out to 280.
Try BoTRK, Black Cleaver, and Runaan's on Ashe. No mythic rush.
bought shieldbow on ashe vs a fed akali. with or without shieldbow shield she oneshots me whenever im out of position.

an armor item wouldnt fix anything. the issue lies with ADCs needing so much money to do any lethal dmg. right now theyre just too reliant on their support/team to not get 1shot.
@@insecurecow4419 u'd think with the reduction to stats on crit items overall they'd make the items somewhat cheaper but all the actual damage items still cost the same so nothing changed much.

@@insecurecow4419 I agree with you. i just said this to show how bad Riot did with the item rework for adc. The fact that they didn't put this type of item in the game is indicative of a larger problem that's all.
doublelift claims rageblade -> pd is a good build (not sure if its only good on kog or not) but i don't understand why this shouldnt work on ashe too, if it works on kog?

what if we assume that the champion has an ability to easily escape hard cc / ganks, wouldnt you assume typically go SB then?
Well, the only ADCs that can easily avoid CC/ganks are Samira and Ezreal, both are broken as fuck, and SB only works for Samira since Ez goes either TriForce or DS

she loses both the extra slow and the extra damage from her passive. iirc, when guinsoos was first was changed it didnt get rid of ashe's bonus passive damage, so ashe + guinsoos was completely busted for a short time, allowing 185% damage autos + 200 on hit physical damage with 100% crit chance.

Hey this is the first time i didn't really understand what sneaky meant about the wave management thing. He mentioned a change? I didn't realize there was one and it seemed like it made a difference on the outcome of the slow push that normal. Love all the explanations you do and I usually get it, but that one kinda lost me. I do think that shieldbow is overrated but kraken is not good either, the damage it provides is similar to red buff imo but worse because no slow. Hopefull the buff on it will help. I have been trying galeforce and its just okay too. tbh all adc items feel weak. I like the changes but they do not seem to be in a good state currently
its definitely a lack of stats imo riot values the item effects too much. i'd be really surprised if they buffed crit to 25%(if they did they'd have to nerf guinsoos) I think they'll just buff stats across the board from the looks of it.

I don't know how but is everyone losing the point that ADC lost like 40% crit dmg potential even at late game? That's why crit stats sucks ass now and with it 80% of the ADC roster.
Crit damage is now down to 175% with IE giving 0.4% per 1% crit that's 40% at maximum (215% crit dmg total) in a full build 100% crit rate state which is impossible now with how fast game goes and with critical rate nerf.
It's just bad, they just killed the core gameplay of ADCs for a illusion of "diversity in build paths" while buffing everyone else specially tanks.

Nah any form of hypercarry with 2.5 atk speed just win the game in 3 seconds with kraken slayer
Shieldbow sounds good on those hyper aspd characters but heres the thing, If you heal and survive while also not buying kraken slayer, you basically just prolong the fight, they live longer = you can also die faster cause they can get cooldowns, kraken kills faster, gives more aspd, tank shred.
Rageblade + shieldbow + BT is the best combo. Hope they didn't nerf rageblade.
