    Love the stuff 👍🏼
    Makes the chore of cleaning up after a big day on the water so much more bearable (especially when your mates run for the hills 😂)

    Yeah I agree, they work. I use the "salty captain" boat wash and engine flush. I picked up a "salt attack" applicator which is basically the same as the salty captain "gun" but half the price and I use that with the "earmuffs" to flush the engine. The boat I do with the gerni with the bottle attachment on it and an inch or so of the solution in the bottle, then swap it out for the spray nozzle to rinse. Like you say, it comes out looking new for very little effort, and I figure if it works that well on outside of the boat it must be doing some good inside the engine too.
    Hot tip: use it on the back end of your tow vehicle too. Most people forget it.

      Yeah agree! Plenty of options now for the application. Even spray guns for sale at aldi now..... Just buy and add formula

    Let your engine run until the thermostat opens, then let the Salty Captain fluid run onto the engine. Otherwise, it's not making its way into the water galleries after the thermostat. Generally takes 5 -7 minutes running for the thermostat to open.

    • @BaitBallin
      @BaitBallin  3 роки тому

      wow that long! there you go, will do. thanks

    • @Severe2jz
      @Severe2jz 9 місяців тому

      Thats an absolute myth. What you're suggesting is the thermostat is closed. It's never fully closed its just a blockage to slow the flow down to get the motor to operating temp. This is why all manufacturers advise not using muffs and only use the flush ports as most household water pressure is that poor it probably does more harm than good

    Here’s a hot tip,
    Don’t add water to the reservoir, just put about 4cm from the bottoms of just the wash!!
    It foams up way more and it actually lasts longer!!
    Make sure you come back and thank me
    Edit; another hot tip, use the petrol blower to dry off the boat, takes less than ten seconds

    It's a hard one i fell into the hype bought some as I want my boat to stay well maintained but my opinion is it's not as effective as saltway or a good scrub down it's not as harsh saltway which is good in a way, used the captains boat wash on my boat it didn't preform the best on the wind screen everywhere else seemed ok but for the price tag I'd expect better i washed the screen two time decently with the recommendation by them there was salt still on the screen when left to dry the new musket is useful in a way mostly the soap and wash separations ability but the foaming ability is trash so buy a proper hose foam cannon for washing and use the musket to flush I don't rate the captains boat wash to highly for what they charge id recommend the motor flush they sell so in the end salty captains motor flush and the musket for flushing is the only thing worth it also just to note the motors tell tail ran harder with no musket on the flushing muffs so abit of restriction is there, if you want a good wash buy repco Eclipse Extra Dirty 5L it's only $30 for 5 liters I was surprised by the large amount for low cost it's made for boats aswell has rust and corrosion inhibitors paired with a $60 ryobi pressure washer and $12 ryobi foam cannon the boat gets snowed up well all that and its cheaper then salty captains 5L refill 😂

    • @BaitBallin
      @BaitBallin  2 роки тому

      Yeah totally agree, this stuff is getting a bit pricey! I have severly bad shoulders so can barely scrub at all but I only use it at the end of a fishing weekend for example to conserve it

    • @BaitBallin
      @BaitBallin  3 роки тому +1

      yes they do in my opinion. they fade quickly and can scratch and chip easier. but I mean if you are fit, well and strong it wouldn't be an issue....

    Nice video. Do u let the boat dry naturally or do u dry it with a towel after?

    • @BaitBallin
      @BaitBallin  2 роки тому +1

      I let it dry by itself, but if any water pools in the back corners I use an old towel to dry it out. You don't want any large amount of water, even fresh, ever sitting in the boat.
