Hello. Our NXT18 will work with a flatbed for a hooklift. However, a standard flatbed would not have a proper skid with the A-frame lift bar needed for being picked by a hooklift. Why would you design it so the truck has to have the parking brake on for it to work when it would prohibit from being able to drive out from underneath a can? Seems silly.
Read the manual… you guys recommend the operation to be with truck in neutral, and remote in the cradle. There are many benefits to being able to drive the truck during hook operation. And to top it off, the remote control isn’t even rechargeable… AAA batteries. Not sure how much input you guys took from users, but doesn’t seem like a lot.
Hello. When inside the cab, with the remote in the holder, an operator is able to operate the equipment with the parking brake off. The parking brake is only required when operating the hooklift outside the cab of the truck, with the radio remote control, to prevent the unit from moving when not in the driver’s seat. Thanks!

Example: I hook a flatbed with shingles or drywall on it. Drop the bed at the site. And go get the 2nd load.
