The hollow sound of the wood as you dump it is a test of how dry it is. And just a reminder young man. Seat belt please. Keep the good videos up. Would also like to see more tree work. Thanks.
You can't beat the versatility of a hook truck.I run some rental bins as passive income between excavating. That's a nice clean truck.I'd be oil spraying that machine.
You have a real nice operation there Jake, what a nice truck! A little competition at the roadside stand is good, when you have the better product and is priced less, word will travel real fast. Great to see your sidekicks get to go along for the ride! Take care
Jake I learned to drive dump trucks on International trucks in the seventies.great trucks. Being that much higher at the bed it dumps a much neater pile than a dump trailer others use.dont spead it out 40 ft like they do. 👍👍

top idea using that size truck for deliveries also clean the rubbish from the bottoms of your totes instead of the customer getting it just a little tip cheers
How do you think it would work if you left the top rung on the totes? In the way for loading? I cut mine out but I never tried to dump them so I leave the bottom two in.
Nice looking firewood! I’m in Fairfield County, Connecticut as well and my calls for wood have been busier than ever this spring and summer. I’m similar to you, doing firewood after work and such. Would like to chat one day on your pricing and such.
That truck works great, i was wondering how good it would dump looks good you dont habe to hook up your dump tailer and try backing it in because some places are tight with a truck and tailer, keep up the good work enjoy your videos
Thanks Larry, it does work well. It acts just like a dump truck when the van is fully stowed and dumps quite well. It’s pretty much at high chest height on me ~56”
Air brakes don't automatically require a CDL if the truck is 26,000 pounds GVWR or less. However, for trucks above 26k with air brakes, it takes a CDL with an air brake endorsement.
Pretty slick operation there. I have a tractor but it's on last legs. And barely picks up 10bails of hay I dream of having equipment. But all I got is my truck a small trailer. A old log splitter And a bunch of ported saws I can cut the wood real fast. Everything else is sloooowwww
Thank you Eric! It’s not what you have it’s how you use it! But having newer equipment always helps 😂 I’ve worked and continue to work very hard to have what I have and love every minute! Slow and steady wins the race!
Would some of your bulk customers like to have the wood in the tote? Charge a deposit that is refunded upon return. You could load and unload totes and they could avoid the labor and cost of restacking the wood. If you really want to do a premium service add wheels that lock so the customer can move them easily. They would probably be willing to pay more for the convenience. Obviously this would be best with regularly schedule repeat bulk customers.
I offered to deliver the wood stacked in the totes and I’d pick them up when empty since he was so close but he had racks he wanted to stack it on. Plus it’s kind of a busy road so I just figured the truck was safer!
Nice delivery dude!
Thanks Chris!
so wonderful really beautiful video friend
Thank you Jan.
That is a sweet truck!
Thanks guys! It’s quite handy!
Jake love the International great machine
Thank you Harry! It’s been a great versatile truck!

Yep always a nice sound! More tree work videos will be coming, this time of year it’s hard between the weather and my guys schedules.
I’m so pleased for you in getting the bulk delivery. Your hard work and drying the wood properly is paying off. Keep up the great work
Thanks Adrian! Another customer added to the list!
That trucks handy for sure!
It sure is! Thanks for watching!

Totally agree! I’d like to get a few more cans for it so I can rent them out as well but prices are crazy. I fluid film it twice a year.
That was awesome! The truck, the loading process. Great work! Great video!! - Tyler
Thanks Tyler! Really appreciate the support!
Customers are going to be buying wood from you, your commutation with them is important, keep up the good work,
I’ve already been getting plenty of calls! Going to be a busy fall!

Thanks Mike! Yep I think the competition is good, nothing to complain about as long as I’m selling wood! They come with me everywhere!
Great video!! Glad you got a new bulk customer!! Have a Safe Day
Another added to the list!! Never enough wood!
Keep cutting and splitting, add to the stock. Nice work! Terry
Always, there’s never enough!
Great job!!! I am sure the experts will chime in on your process……Good amount of wood seems very fair.
Thanks Guerry, I’m sure they will lol.
u have to go like 10'' higher to get a full face cord in those ibc's totes
I fill in the gap in the center of the totes to compensate for this.

Very nice Bob! Being so much taller is awesome for dumping and the customers like it too.

The small truck is nice for tight driveways!

I’m not quite sure, I’ve thought about doing this but loading the totes would be a real pain having to dodge the top bar.

Great work and congrats on the sale! How are the garden beds going?
Thanks! Unfortunately we didn’t do the garden this year, as Sarah says, “I already have enough hobbies” 😂

Soon to have 5K subscribers. Gook luck.
Getting close!! Thanks for the support Bill!
You will need to invest in a wireless mic to capture audio when you move away from the camera.
Yep, I’ve looked into them just haven’t pulled the trigger one one yet! Thanks for watching!
How long is the box on your hook truck?
10.5’

How much do you get for a tote of firewood?
It depends on the size of the tote and some other factors. I don’t really share my pricing.
Pretty clean hook lift truck. How many miles did you say it had on it? And how much did you pay for it?
Thanks Dana, it has 54,000. Bought it for 13k with the dumpster and flatbed.
@@DudeRanchDIY You got a smoking deal on that truck Is with a dumpster and flat bed
Filling the gap in the middle will never compensate enough to make a full face cord.
Thanks for the input

The issue here is being able to unload the full totes at the customers house. I’d have to bring the tractor with me.
If he orders again skip the step of loading the international and just drive the tractor over twice and dump the totes on-site.
