YAZ - Don't Go on Behringer PRO-1 - How To get the SOUND!

Using only the Behringer Pro 1 synthesizer, I have recreated "Don't Go" by Yaz - drums and all. These synth patches are a great starting point to make your own synth sounds on the Pro-1!

The lead sound was done with a 2600, as were a few others on this track - that's why it doesn't sound quite there when you do it all with just a Pro-1

yet strangely, I can get closer on my pro 1, than my behringer 2600. Not for the lack of trying.
It's definitely more than just the patch, because it glues better with some saturation, and a hint of reverb. It's one of the synth holy grails haha

Ultra Cool, I downloaded the files and will do them one by one to learn the Pro-1 I just bought this week. Are the midi files (SMF) available as well? I could put all in my RS7000 sampler and see what can be done there as well 🙂 Anyway, thanks and just signed up.

Awesome sound, I think you are 90% there, which is 80% better than me! I would say though the bass sounds warmer on the original track, I wonder if slightly increasing the decay time on the bass might get it closer? I don't know, just a guess!

Its really close ! Did someone tried with Juno 60 ? Combined to the pro 1 (because Vince Clark talked about it in an interview)

Yazoo released Don't Go not Yaz(Yazz) of which released The Only Way Is Up.

Yep.
Because there was another band named Yazoo in the US, the record label had to alter the duo's name, slightly.
