    Maggie looks and sounds stunning. I think the new headlights look amazing, they have a bit of a POP about them. Such a clever, clever boy you are Liam. Well done to you both. Looking forward to the next video.❤❤🎉

    Excellent work. Great to see her back on the road and I must say your videos are very well put together and enjoyable to watch. My moggie is near identical to Maggie BTW - 2Dr saloon in Trafalgar Blue and named Molly!! Close cousins - lol!

    That was absolutely brilliant but you did have me worried with the not getting it into gear problem and I’m sure your heart hit the floor. A massive well done and so nice to see you driving around in it at the end. I look forward to meeting you over the summer sometime at an event.
    I have been working on my blue traveler for a few weeks and had it running today after all new brakes new dizzy coil leads refurbed the carb and fuel pump and like you I was amazed it started first time after all that tinkering 😅
    Anyway congratulations 🎉🥇💯👍

    Well done. I can imagine how happy you will all be. Huge sense of achievement. Also the gearbox rebuild works ! I no you put a lot into getting that back together. Only thing I’ve noticed is the tab washers to secure the front shocker bolts are missing. They can back off and you’ll hear a knock if they do. Not being nit picky only saying what I noticed. Like I say well done. Really enjoyed the videos and look forward to further updates as and when. Still waiting on my carcoon I ordered !

      thank you very much, it was a very happy time when she started. the gears was another win! Good eyes on the retaining straps. They were on backorder at all the suppliers so i am waiting for them to come in, however i did secure them with red loctite so they are in there forever lol. good job with the carcoon you will love it.

    The play should be at the pedal. Push the pedal with your finger till you feel the resistance. Can’t remember how much play but an inch and a quarter seems a lot

    • @rustenuts
      @rustenuts  5 місяців тому +1

      1 and 1/4 does seem a lot, but any less than this and the gears wont engage, very strange indeed. 2 inches and the gears slip. Its a weird setup but they must have designed it like this for a reason i guess. thanks for watching and getting involved.

    I wound up with an engine from a Morris Minor last year, and wonder if it's the 948 or 1098. Considering slapping an AUSTIN valve cover on it and putting it in my Sprite after a refresh, unless one of the other spare engines is a 1275. Is that gearbox just a regular old rib case BMC 4 speed?

    • @rustenuts
      @rustenuts  5 місяців тому

      it is a BMC 4 speed virtually identical to the Midget gearbox, there is some internal changes though. Moggy has no syncro in first whereas the midget does. The moggy engine should have a tag on it telling you what it is?
