I can has T-beam supreme. mainly because the T-echo is out of stock until january having said that the T-supreme has all the same features other than the screen, its cheaper and can hold a WAY bigger battery. 18650 are up to 3500mah 3.5 times the 1000mah that comes in the T-echo
The T-Echo seems to be in stock on Lilygo's website. www.lilygo.cc/products/t-echo?variant=42306295791797 Note, they ship from China so it probably won't arrive until after the new year. The cost different can add up to the two. The T-Beams don't come with a battery or case. However, it you can 3D print and have extra 1865)s laying around it's about the same.
Unfortunately the t beam also has like 4 times the battery consumption of the t echo. The t echo will last for several days on that 1000mah battery while t beams will last about one day even with big boy batteries.
Glad to see a video on the supreme! Verry well put together. Can you do a video on the function of the buttons and setting up canned messages? Verry little info on the web for this.
are your buttons screwy as well? i have problems particularly with not being able to wake the screen once it has timed out. i have to cycle power just to get the display to come on. i also cant cycle through the displays manually
@@RavenwoodAcres I tried to use the web flasher to update my firmware, thinking that might help, and it bricked my supreme, so be aware of that possibility.
@rosswilliams3672 Have you seen my video on flashing to T Beam Supreme? Note, I thought that I had bricked multiple devices. However, after a full erase and installation, the device came back to life.
I am just looking at lora to see if i like it. It is a interesting piece of hardware. Say I have a group of niebhours with them, can i direct a message to a specific person in the group?
@@williamwiese9963 There is an USB-C access port charging on the bottom of the case. The only reason you would need to take it apart would be to replace the battery.
The antenna is a 4 inch Tuf Duck from ArcAntenna.com. My only issue is that it has TNC connector, not an SMA. Therefore, it requires an adapter. As for the stock antenna, the ones that come with the T-Beams are trash.

I currently have one of these, a TT-go and 3 heltec lite stick V3, I checked SWR on all 5 antenna and the best one was over 3:1 IE unusable and dangerous to the radio itself. these are all made in china and they seem to ship with antenna tuned for either 433 or 868 because non of them are even usable

You would have create separate channel to direct a specific person.
So you have to take the case apart to charge or swap the battery??

Do you have to soulder the T beam supreme screen on?
No, it comes ready to go minus a battery and a case.
Can you share where you got you antenna?
