Tnx for this video, I really have problem starting. My fears are still stronger then avoiding compulsions and I don't know when am I going to reach that point to say: I'm done! I don't care! Send me whatever you want, I'm done doing compulsions! I wish that moment could be this moment but then I go back to doing compulsions and It seems like there is no hope for me .
I'm sorry for that. im finding it really hard to resist rituals

I am doing OK
STILL doing compulsions but somehow the days go by...
Planning to do erp but it is harder with two babies around the house😁
Someday, somehow all of this ocd shit will be just a bad memory, I wish that to you also.
Never give up!
😉❤️
Same here dude
This is true. But I think that most people fail because when they try to recover from ocd the only thing they focus on is recovering from ocd. The thing that's helping me is this that you said in your videos, but I've started doing things that make me productive, things that I stopped doing at first and because I was unsatisfied with my life I let ocd develop this much and ruin everything.
True
I can’t emphasize how ur videos help me it’s literally helping me recover .. Just the fact that ur doing the videos to help us with ocd and how affective ur work is .. It’s truly amazing u are a pioneer of ur work I truly truly Thank u Ali 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I try to recover but they seem so real and they are so scady
Thank you Ali for all the info you are giving us. Love you
Hello for the first time in 5 years there's someone who made me understand exactly what i am really suffering from instead of the so called psychiatrist not even concern about therapies , they only give meds. From kashmir (india) thanks for ur videos
It is really helpful
Do you know that you are obsessed to "you know" word 😁😁 but truly, you're helping me a lot. Thanks for great effort ❤️❤️
Thank you Ali. You have a great insight into the condition
Thanks for the great advice!
I believe I have touched rock bottom today. I have neglected my baby, got embaresed infront family doing compulsions and my husband looses faith that I will ever recover. Today was very bad and I could not find strenght to disregard. I listen to you Ali for more than a year and still I am at the same place . The fears and automatic compulsions are destroying my life. How to move on from this spot, how to owercome fears and confront ocd?
Don't give up. Trust that you will overcome. Try not to beat yourself up. We have all been there. Even though it is difficult try to let go and keep going forward.
Why you dont try little by little steps , try to avoid compulsion for 15 min today then 30 min the next day and then 45 min the third day , until you r compulsion become weak . Mine are weaker now
@@Muhammad-pz1bp can you explain to me what a compulsion is
@@tallmidget1395 Its the reaction like washing hands or Analysing in OCD
@@Muhammad-pz1bp if I have the breathing ocd what would you say a compulsion for that is also what do you mean by analyzing
hope all who sees this is well xx
Thanks Ali. I've been struggling to actually start recovery, i keep thinking im recovering then don't realize i keep analyzing. I'm not sure if my situation is severe or not but at this point I've had ocd about really absurd things more than normal past ocd like fearing I dropped valuable things and or fearing to throw away something on accident. To things like fearing that i forgot a thought or something i had to do in the day. I know i need to just stop and refocus on other things. I just need to really really have faith and disregard everything. I wonder if doing your recovery program will help my situation. Thanks for all your help and videos so much
Ryan Trials i understand how are you recovering by now?
Ryan Trials keep listening to Ali... She’s the best for ocd recovery...Stay strong....We will all get better the more we push through doing what’s uncomfortable... We need to get comfortable without getting reassurance... Learning to be ok with uncertainty... It’s not easy but with persistence it’s doable... Hope you get better soon😊
@@natalietrombetta446 how are you doing now? ☺️
Thank u
Hi Ali
I've been listening to you on my Spotify while I'm out and about which I love and my question is - i have cut down my hours at work but get up very early at 5:30am each day , is it harder to tackle OCD when tired ? Can you defeat OCD if you are refusing to do your rituals?
Please do one on religious OCD thanks
Heartfelt thanks . More power to u
When I try to recover, my anxiety levels fall, but then I come to a point when I think of the thoughts and don't get scared and think the thoughts are real. Then I'm going to analyze which I just can't stop because I really don't want it to be true. The anxiety level will rise and then I'm getting a anxiety attack. Is this really ocd, if yes what can I do to stop this?
max beijer when u feel your anxiety rise, dont fear it. Let it move through you. Dont fear the fear. Your body is watching you.
@@raebenson6165 How do you stop fearing fear?
Mina M by accepting the feeling of fear in your body. Fully accept it and dont resist it. Show your brain that by accepting and going about your day like you are not afraid will retrain your brain and stop sending you adrenalin. Eventually your brain will get it the message. Its hard to do, but just accept the fearful feelings. It wont harm you. They are just chemicals in your body. Fear wont kill you
@@raebenson6165 thanks
I've been trying to recover but it's really hard
Thanks 👍👍
I hello web Rob and I am powerless of my ocd and anxiety PTSD. I have been really struggling with medication adjustments etc. let the speaker know. 🎉
When the fear is no longer attached to the intrusive thought . What does it mean? It's feel like i hv accepted the thought and its true? is this normal?
Dont get caught up on what it means or of its normal.. Youve done the work.. Dont anylize becus it can become another obsession n theme if ur recovered or not. Move fwd n live ur life
@@albertfigueroa11 what do you mean saying: "you have done the work"? no work needs to be done (to remove the thought) - the recovery process, the healing process obligates us to let the thought keep running as usual in our mind and to do absolutely nothing to avoid it
@@nirty55 the wors means no compulsions no reaction with fear disregard the thoughts despite them being there etc etc no reassurance no asking no anylize etc etc
@@albertfigueroa11 😅
@@nirty55 ??
What if you only get one thought? Which is just one word ? You get just one word in your head that you’re obsessing over and over again please help
How do you measure the number of thoughts per day?
Small note book and tally.

Ali ma'am I asked you a question that is willing of petting or touching animal is a symptom of ocd.
ma'am I want or like to petting or giving food to all innocent animals it is also a good thing but the question appears in my mind that it is only my kindness or a ocd synonyms to want to petting animals...I am confused ...Please help me if you know....????
Is daydreaming related to OCD somehow?
I think it can be in a way that you are maybe hiding from ocd with sleep
I have the same question. My daydreams i feel are obsessive. I daydream about the same damn thing, about things that will never happen.
I think daydreaming can be a form of rumination or compulsion
