    It’s been 20 years of my brain being used to harm OCD or false memory OCD so it is taking a WHILE to be OCD free. I can definitely say, thanks to you I am 90% better. Yes, CBT helped and yes a low dose of anxiety medication helped, but YOU changed my life.
    You’ve helped so many people, I hope you’re getting the recognition you deserve.

      Yes like today I was having a super good day but last week my anxiety was a little bit higher than usual. At least it’s now to the point where it’s no longer high anxiety everyday since I stopped compulsions and seeking reassurance as well as doing erp. Now they’ll be some good days and some days where it will be like starting all over again.

    I really wish I would have seen this video before I binge watched that new Jeffrey Dahmer show on Netflix. I haven't had an ocd episode this bad since I was 16. I'm 24 now. While watching it I was fine, I had no anxiety. I thought to myself, "Well atleast I'm not like this guy." Then a day after finishing the series I started getting harm ocd thoughts again and went into full panic mode. Day 3 and im still having anxiety but these videos are very helpful! I never looked into my ocd I just thought I was different but im so happy to see im not alone in this. I love you all keep working hard!

    Absolutely. In my recovery i instantly started with OCD Recovery OCD. Going back over and over, when did i last do ocd? What ocd was it? So it's a memory thing of checking. I'm 4 months into recovery with some setbacks but main thing is OCD Recovery OCD.
    Thanks Ali you're the only cure! 🏆👏

    Conscious repetitive habits turn into unconscious repetitive thoughts, break the habit, usually takes about 2 weeks to start seeing results from habit breaking.

    I’ve been doing self directed ERP for over 6 months now and my anxiety is very low even when I’m having the thoughts / they aren’t bothering me and I’m functioning in life well around them - however - I’m still getting high amounts of intrusive thoughts each day and I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong. Advice from anybody would be appreciated ❤

    I have started my ERP therapy on OCD and since last weak, i have entered a depersonalization state and i’m aware it’s because i’m triggered by the amount of anxiety, i wish you could tell me things to do to help reduce this feeling. Thanks Ali!

    Ally, could you please do a video on health ocd ? All of my ocd is surrounding my health. I will get thoughts I have mental and physical illnesses and then will panic and go from doctor to doctor from online source to online source and then ask my boyfriend to google things for me because I’m too afraid to look. THANK YOU!

      @@cameronharris955 well done you can do this, I am so much better than I was, I have listened to Ali for a long time and it's took time but I finally managed it with some ERP therapy and listening to Ali and following her directions. Honestly don't give up you can manage this. If you ever need a boost please just leave me a message because I know how hard it can be, but it does get easier. All the best x

      Candy Bloom yes sure I have a question. So I’ve been going though hocd for about 2 months and I got on recovery right away. I was just diagnosed wirh ocd but I kinda feel proud of it because it makes me unique:) since I’m in the second stage did you ever have thoughts about what If I have these thoughts forever? More of these then your main theme? I’ve disregarded all of these thoughts and there is really no anxiety to them. Thoughts?

    • @c.k.1958
      @c.k.1958 4 роки тому

      @@cameronharris955 yes I did get those thoughts and these are normal when your so far in recovery it's your mind trying to trip you up and gets grip on you again. Just keep doing what your doing and disregarding don't give those thoughts any attention. If they persist ERP yourself. Say yes I will have these thoughts forever almost sarcastically as soon as your mind figures you don't care it will let it go naturally in time, keep going. If you need support I'm here for anyone x
