Geek Speak...
Drums are the Roland TD-11 triggering sounds from Native Instruments Abbey Road Drummer
We're using the Roland HPD-10 as a controller for a Native Instruments Battery Kit with a bunch of grungy drum samples in it
Bass is going through a UA 4710D and then being run through Waves CLA Bass
Guitars are both going through Line 6 Helix
Keyboards are a Hammond SKX Pro and a Roland FA-06 using both internal sounds and external sounds from Native Instruments and EastWest.
Vocals are recorded with Audio Technica mics and mixed with Waves Plugins.
For the vocal overlay sample we used a Roland SP-404sx.
We used Zoom cameras with some post processing by Topaz Labs.
This was a fun and nostalgic one! Totally different vocal style than the Queensryche, but I hope you all enjoy!
Jesus, you guys can nail absolutely anything. I think you're a fantastic match for the band, I would be your first fan if you were to turn this into a "real" project, you know. Just get a really good songwriter in the fold and you have a hit factory right there. I have replayed this and the previous video an insane amount of times already, both surpass the originals.
Such a killer singing voice. Love you
So great. Killer pipes. ❤️
I love how your voice seemed on the border of your operatic register in this. P.S. I'm going to subscribe to your channel when I navigate away from this video.
You kicked ass! I didn't know you worked with Tommy J from Sabaton!!!!!
In addition to his own amazing talent, one of the things I most appreciate about Richie is that the Band Geeks videos have introduced me to so many incredible musicians. That includes everyone in this video. Kristin is a force of nature!
Killed it! She has such a luxurious, rich, strong voice. Very appealing!
WHAT?!?!?!?! We get even MORE Kristen with the Band Geeks?!?!? YES, PLEASE!!!! LOVE the appropriate use of the overdubs where necessary. The tones are again just PERFECT! Kristin's voice once again just SOARS in this classic song. (yeah, it's THAT old, sorry to say......) Love the operatic vibe her vocals give the whole song.
You guys blow me away! Fantastic - my God! Ms Starkey has some lungs on her doesn't she??? Brilliant.
Kristin has such a beautiful and powerful voice.
More more more of Kristin.Jet city was outstanding. More. Please.
Awesome! So happy to see the Band Geek playing again and with such a wonderful vocalist. How about a duet with Kristin and Ann Marie Nacchio? Two amazing singers!
Wow! Nobody can cover this song. Again, excellent!!
Love her voice!…super talented!
HOW DID I MISS THIS?? Killer cover!
Kristin once again showing shes one of the best female vocalists out there, everytime I see covers of vintage Evanescene i'm sceptical because it was iconic for me, but damn...
Blown away, shes amazing, great band too 😍❤
AWESOME ! Love the harmonies on all your songs
Wow. Velvet, smoky and yet crystal clear vocals all at once! Well done!

I'm intensely becoming a fan of this project! 🖐😌
A lot of moving parts in that song. Great job!
Quality!👍👍
Don't you just love it when your singer is so good you can use her to tune your instruments to.!! Loved it!!
Actually, the keyboardist is giving her a reference so she can sing the pre-recorded part in the right key.
@@Pyuras yea I caught that also just before Richie sampled her vocal clip. I don't thing she needed it though. she is a great singer IMO
Wow thats was a real good Cover. I Love it
That was amazing. The geeks are always on point but Kristin's vocals are off the chart.
Hello @RichieCastellano from your lowly minion! Good to see you back in action! Miss ya, man!
Ok, she's astonishing...what a vocal range, power, dynamics, the total package. Bona fide superstar if she gets with the right band. Wow....
Wow! More please.
You captured the power of this song. Still, it wouldn't be complete without the vocal and you have found the perfect match for this one.
this is one hell of a cover, wow
WAIT WHAT? that's Kristin from Temperance!
NICE !!!!
Don't know the song but I soon will. Cracking job guys
Oh ...Hell Yeah!!!!!
MUCH better than the original 👌. That's real singing boys and girls
Insane how good that was. Is. Damn. 🤘🎸✌
instant thumbs up
Niice!
Sweet
bravo team
Love it!!! Excellent as always!!! How about some Nightwish???? Also ask Roland to give Andy a modern V-Drum kit!!! lol
Yes! We need those fancy hi hats!
Holy. Sheet. That was awesome.
Good song
1st comment!
Is that Cat playing a headless 8 String? I can’t really see it that well on my phone but it looks like a wider neck than my JP70. Either way it’s a very badass thing. Cheers Blokes!
Absolutely love it. Move over Amy Lee! 😉 and the band.. oy 👏
Wow that fucking ROCKS 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘...
Very impressive 🎶🎶🎶.. definitely put your own originality fucking ROCKS and it's Beautiful
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is a difficult song to sing, but as usual Kristin nailed it again.
👍👍👍💗💗💗🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷😍😍😍
This style is much more suitable to Kristin that the Beast in Black cover, that operatic 'totalitarian' control is still there though and it may alienate a bit the Evanescence crowd
Kristen is awesome and cute and fun to be with! 😊
Is there anything she *can't* do? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
LMAO 😂
Killer.
Awesome work! By the way, Why can't I see Anne Marie these days?
I want to see her sing.
Ritchie is a fucking genius. Don’t know what else to say.
Wow! extraordinary! What is Phil playing....looks like a stienberger of some sort
Looks like a Kiesel Osiris.
Phil is very fancy and has very fancy instruments.
Every time I listen to you, I get the sudden urge to jam. At 67, I can't find anyone to jam with. So I play with myself.....What's new!
Great…. Now I’m fu*@ing around with my rig searching for Evanescence tones !
Could you all please do a cover of Anna Graceman's "Nightmare" song? I really like the song and I think you would do it great justice. Let me know. Thanks!
so good.. but as I was watching this I had the funny idea what it actually sound like in that room if you didn't have headphones on.
We call it "click clack theater"
Amy Lee would be proud!
Ed Sheeran on drums yo!!
