Home Free is one of the best a capella groups going. They do every genre and they don't do covers, they do upgrades. This song is about a hundred years old and was originally Blue Grass. You need to hear their version of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. They also do Boys to Men End of the Road. You can go to their channel and just pick out any song you see that you know and like and listen to them. We haven't found a bad one yet. If you go down this rabbit hole your subscribers will grow quickly. The Home Fries (that's what the fans are called) will start coming here in packs.
Six months or so ago, I was listening to this song as my introduction to Home Free. Today, this Home Fry is totally addicted. I must have a dose of Home Free every day. FYI, they can sing everything! Buckle your seat belt and listen to them cover Boyz2Men's "End of the Road." ❤❤❤
My question is, did you realize that there is no actual harmonica used here? PLEASE listen the The Butts Medley. Not only does it showcase their versatility, but it’s just plain fun.
This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old (about 100 yrs.) & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Ring Of Fire", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "Helplessly Hoping", "Seven Bridges Road", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Skull & Bones" etc.
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. They are the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. They have great personalities and sense of humor and are genuinely good people. I don't even think of them as an acapella group anymore but just my favorite band. Thanks for the reaction. Looking forward to more! Enjoy your Home Free journey!.
Actually, yes, all 5 of them do at least a bit of beatboxing. Sean Stockman said, "Country is just white boy's R&B", but you need to understand that HF doesn't JUST do 'country'. Their catalog is wide and deep - go enjoy!!
Home Free are awesome! All the sounds you hear come from their mouths, no instruments. This is a huge rabbit hole. You need to check out them doing a cover of Boyz II Men, End of The Road. It will blow your mind! Tim Foust is their bass! He can go so low! They different genres. Love your reaction!
These guys are amazing!! I no longer think of #HomeFree as my favorite acapella group. Every member of our family (including teens) considers them their favorite musical group--period❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
This is probably the most amazing group performing in America today. Incredible all vocal group! You're right about the dude with the beard - Rob. Talent. Check out the Nessun Dorma piece with Rob and Austin.
Thanks for reacting. I'm seeing lots of good suggestions in the comments. They have some original songs too. If you need some mood music, "Playing with Fire" might suit.
I love Home Free and Pentatonix. They are both great, but they are very different. I love listening to them both for very different reasons. If I had to choose, I would say I am a member of the Home Fries. LOL
Check out "Ring of Fire", "O Holy Night", "Auld Lang Syne", "How Great Thou Art", "God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood" just to name a few. Tim Foust, the bass, has blown out speakers. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free. The singer that lead off, Austin Brown, has since left the group.
The song itself (Man of Constant Sorrow) is actually a very old Country/Bluegrass song that had been performed by many groups. To completely understand the song itself, you will have to go back to its beginnings. The group Home Free is an incredible group with many talents. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!! Each of the gentlemen in this group is super talented, and together they are tops. They do covers of all different genres, as well as originals written by various members of the group, bringing a bit of country flavor to anything they do. They often bring some fabulous humor to their sound, which is a huge bonus, but they can also take a meaningful song and make you cry. For fun, take a listen to Working For A Living or All About That Bass; to hear what they can do with serious content, listen to Brothers In Arms or In The Blood. You will never regret the day you found this music!!!
This song is the gateway to the Home Free rabbit hole and you'll find all sorts of magic if you come on in. Exceptionally talented, lovely people who can and do sing in every style. Try their latest version of Ring of Fire, or Everybody Walking This Land, or Champagne Tastes on a Beer Budget. Or basically anything they've ever recorded!
Welcome to the Home fry club (what fans of Home Free are called). They all have many talents. This is just the beginning of a great rabbit hole to fall into! My favorite group! Wait until you have quite a few songs under your belt before watching Mayday. You will appreciate it that much more if you do.
These guys are doing acapella here (and in most of their work) and it is beautifully executed and performed ! The beatboxing and 'no-monica' by Adam Rupp is awesome, and all of the guys contribute well. If you want to hear more of Robb's soulful side, check out Home Free's cover of Boyz 2 Men's 'End of the Road'. You'll like it !
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2000/2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. There is no lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam R )sings the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless it is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time each member have a part in the song.Adam R has a beautiful tenor voice but it’s rare to hear him sing a solo part Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) from Tifton Georgia He left the group in June of 2024 and Adam Bastien has taken his place.. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean: Vincent Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Any many many more. They have amazing songwriters in the group Tim, and Chance and Adam B ( Austin was also a songwriter) so they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Butts Medley/ Remix Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft video game Skull And Bones) Life Is A Highway Stand By Me I’ve Seen (Original by Tim) Your Man Crazy Life ( original and last video with Austin ) Something To Talk About ( first video with Adam B ) I Still Believe In You Hark! They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟😊
I see that the resident soul singer, Gospel Rob, got you right away. Yup. Transported 😂. I can't wait until i see your reaction to Home Free's End of the Road. Gospel Rob delivers a year's worth of Sunday sermons in that one 😮❤😂😂😂
New sub for more Home Free! They are known mostly as a country a cappella group, but they do all genres! You just jumped down the Home Free rabbit hole! Welcome young man! One of the best reactions I have ever seen! 🤠 The guy in glasses and beard is Rob! We call him Gospel Rob! Wait to you hear their cover of "End of the Road"!
the do an awesome version of 'Oh Holy Night'... and you want your lady to melt, play their version of 'When a Man Loves a Woman' .... and on the lighter side, the put out a version of 'You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch' and "Hillbilly Bone"
Love Home Free. They are country but they sing so much more. They are a cappella so they use no instruments. Their beatboxer is amazing. Three of those amazing singers are also songwriters so they write their own songs as well as sing covers. The bass has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors. They can all beatbox to a degree. Try End of the Road to hear more soul!!! Butts medley is hilarious, Auld Lang Syne for New Years and to hear wonderful harmonies. Good one Devante!!!
HomeFree is my current fav. (And I know what you’re saying.) I love their mix of country, bluegrass, gospel, R&B and bubblegum pop. If you like pop from the 2010’s, check their “Country Fried Pop Medley”. My suggestions for other artists: If you like Contemporary Blues, give the girls from Larkin Poe a try. And a new pop girly with a big voice, look out for Faouzia.
This song is crazy good, but each song they do will give you a huge surprise. You should do their cover of End of the Road from Boys II Men next. You won't be disappointed!
Welcome to the rabbit hole. I believe you would love their cover of Boyz2Men's "End of the Road". Rob shines in that. The rest of them are amazing too. They can sing anything, Country, Gospel, Pop, R & B, Soul, Rap (you ought to hear Rob) and everything else you can imagine. They will make you laugh, cry, rejoice. Thank you for your reaction.
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive. They're all vocal chameleons. There is no lead singer, whoever sounds best singing it, does so. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. A live (fancam) video, that's both funny & terrific is a mash-up: ua-cam.com/video/qKA7MzGxG1A/v-deo.htmlsi=XAAc8br2cgD-qEUW. Dive on in!
You should check out their cover of End Of The Road. The bearded man (Rob) that you said had soul is the lead on that one. He does an amazing job as do the others. Three of these five are from the south. This is known as country soul mixed with bluegrass.
I haven't watched the reaction but I can only assume you loved it because who wouldn't lol. The Home Free fans are always gonna show up so ya got a like...... my recommendation is their Ring of Fire cover featuring Avi :) :)
It's a deep rabbit hole your headed down but what a ride it is youll be a homefri before long. Check out End of the road and when man loves a woman for more soul than expected
You might try some of their collaborations with other performers. American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oakridge Boys and Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers are all amazing.
The butts remix is very cool! They are not just country based musicians they do a lot of great songs! No instruments at all! They are the instruments and they sound amazing always!!
Yes, all of them can, to some extent, can do sound effects just not necessarily beatboxing. They are country artists in the sense that it's their favorite genre, maybe, but Rob (your fav with the big beard) trained in opera singing for a time, the first singer is a heavily trained musical theater performer, they were both music majors with serious training. Tim Foust is their bass singer although he does have a five and a half octave range and also does the higher harmonies. All five of them individually are phenomenal (and I am probably overly critical of singers) and have solos they've recorded. Just enjoy the journey they will take you on. I'll recommend listening to their version of Nessun Dorma (opera) and, forget it, anything else they sing. They've all trained and worked at perfecting their craft and will never disappoint.
Best acapella group around!!! You noted the fellow with the overalls had soul. You need to check out their cover of End of the Road. These guys voices are ear candy. The beatboxer is first class. In this song the fellow in the rear on the left is doing the jaw harp sound. I understand it is called Mongolian mouth singing. Difficult to do. You would probably like Love Train, Listen to the Music and try Brothers in Arms (Dire Strait cover). Subbing today for more and more HF reactions. (Whatever you choose from their 100 plus videos, you won’t be disappointed. Fans of this group call their covers upgrades. And they do many originals.) welcome to the HF family!!
Home free the by far the best Acapella group out there. They are classified as the only all Acapella country group but they do remixes and covers of other genres and put a country twang on it. You MUST WATCH THEIR BUTTS REMIX VIDEO, AND REACT TO THAT ONE! you've only just scratched the surface of what home free can do!
We all felt like you on first listen! Rob (in coveralls) tickled your eardrums… check him out in Boys 2Men’s End of the Road. That one sold Rob to me! Welcome to the most amazing rabbit hole on UA-cam!
Hi! You gotta check out “Thinking Out Loud/Lets Get It On” a mashup of Ed Seerhan/Marvin Gaye, it’s phenomenal and so is “Butts Medley” another mashup. They are totally different and a fantastic rabbit hole to go down. They can (and do)sing any genre of music and do covers as well as originals…cool group of guys!
Welcome to the rabbit hole. Kool aid in their pockets! Oh my, made this granny's day. Bless you child. Some of us pale folk have tons of soul. I grew up in Oregon, but family is from the South. Love me some soul. Home free is much much more than this one song, you'll see. Enjoy. Peace out ✌️❤
They did a great version of "American Pie" with Don McLean. And their version of "God Bless the USA" with Lee Greewood and the Singing Sergeants of the US Air Force Band is pretty awesome as well.
Home Free is one of the best a capella groups going. They do every genre and they don't do covers, they do upgrades. This song is about a hundred years old and was originally Blue Grass. was originally sung in the late 1880's but written on paper in 1913 so it's a lot older than 100 years

You are absolutely spot on. Home Free is a rabbit hole worth going down.
Once you go down the home free rabbit you either come out a home fry or you don't come out!

Zero instruments... Absolutely amazing.
The big guy you liked is Rob and he kills it in their cover of Boys To Men's End of the Road... Please check it out....
Six months or so ago, I was listening to this song as my introduction to Home Free. Today, this Home Fry is totally addicted. I must have a dose of Home Free every day.

To see a funny side of Home Free check out The Butts remix
A very cheeky mashup of 6 chart topping songs. 😂
My favorite!
Agreed, I was going to say the same thing.
My question is, did you realize that there is no actual harmonica used here? PLEASE listen the The Butts Medley. Not only does it showcase their versatility, but it’s just plain fun.

See what they do with Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues -- country transformed through motown, gospel and a bit of hiphop in the attitude.

Lol wait until he finds out it's all a'capella 😂
Welcome to the rabbit hole they are the best the lead here on this one just recently left… ❤❤❤
End of the road cover! Enough said! ✌🏻
❤🤠#HomeFree. Amazing. Great reaction. 🏠🍟
You have GOT to listen to Home
Free "When A Man Loves A Woman". It is DOPE!
Brah have to check out WAY more of these guys! Serious brah…. Do it!
Welcome to the most amazing rabbit hole on UA-cam!
you would probably love their end of the road version
Dadgummit!, late as usual. Another Home Fry Subscribed!
Welcome to the club!
You will go down the Home Free rabbit hole and will become a " Home Fry"! 😅
Welcome to the rabbit hole. Kool aid in their pockets! Oh my, made this granny's day. Bless you child. Some of us pale folk have tons of soul. I grew up in Oregon, but family is from the South. Love me some soul. Home free is much much more than this one song, you'll see. Enjoy. Peace out ✌️❤
"Pentatonix" were good. Like, REAL good. These dudes are superhuman.
They all beat box, and most have a multi-octave range. You're going to be in this rabbit hole a while.
They did a great version of "American Pie" with Don McLean. And their version of "God Bless the USA" with Lee Greewood and the Singing Sergeants of the US Air Force Band is pretty awesome as well.
The song they're singing is a bluegrass song.
Big guy (Rob) is an opera singer ❤
just subbed for more Home Free!
