- Hey Everyone!
In this video, we are going to have a look at the new F900GSA to grace BMWs range!
I was invited to a dealer launch and this was a bit of a surprise as I had no idea I was going to be riding it!
I did not expect to like this bike so much!!!
Of course, everything feels great when you have hot, dry weather - so I'm looking forward to borrowing Halliwell Jones' demo and taking it for a spin in a real UK setting.
Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one. Ride safe and have fun! 😊

Your description was perfect Kate, riding an arm chair but one that handles. A cracking review as usual along some awesome roads.
Great review Kate, proper handy 👍 I pick mine up on Thursday, whoop whoop, so looking forward to it, thanks again Kate for a great review as always
I love this videos Kate, you in Spain or Portugal riding new bikes like this is, with the views and great roads, so much fun. The bike look`s great to 😉 Keep up the great work
Seriously considering this instead of the 1300. Looks better in my opinion, obviously down on horse power, but I’m sure it has enough. Also down on $$$ on the 1300
Even less for the non-GSA. As Kate says at the end "My bladder needs emptying before the tank needs filling." Perhaps a less top-heavy bike might be more fun for those of us who don't need the range?
That said, for those who do need the range and are blessed with iron bladders... it seems a really nice bike.
@@brendonoleary519 A fuel tank doesn’t weigh much.
Half fill it duh
@@GadgetMart Tanks are light but a full tank will change the handling it if's high up. Or Spend much less on the non GSA if you don't need the extra range... Makes more sense than a four-figure sum more on a GSA and only half filling it(!).
@@brendonoleary519 I’ve been looking at it, it only has 1 1/2 seats so forget carrying a pillion
@GadgetMart We can agree on that! 🙂 Definitely not a steed of choice with two people on board.
Great review again Kate! Love your energy!
Great review Kate, thank you. Looks like a good replacement for a 1250 for those of us finding the 1300 too cramped a riding position. Great to have the luxury of so many choices.
I love the huge tank of my 1200 GSA... It's the humpback, Like riding Moby Dick... I hardly ever put more than six gallons in it, to keep it topped... And if the 50 mile, low fuel warning has come on 👍🏾 Good times have been had..
Nice bonus again Kate, great looking bike and enjoyed the review as always 👌
So glad!!!
Fun to watch and handling a big one...
That’s a stunning machine
Kate. Your review is great, wonderful and fun. You always rock a motorcycle well. BMWs are pretty much lightweight, depending on the person's height and build, and comfortable even though the windshield on this bike looks bizarre. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!♥🔥 Love your nails too! 💅
Bmws lightweight ?????????
Beautiful!❤
Welcome to Portugal, nice ride in Tavira
Like always good review love it 👌👍
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Props to you for getting on it - tippy toes gives me the fear on big bikes (I'm 30" inside leg)!
Mind over matter 😁
This looked a DREAM to ride - lovely video Kate (sorry I’m so slow and rubbish at watching!)
Great video Kate, and very informative and interesting 😊
Another honest review I t believe seat heights can be reduced significantly,I certainly would not feel confident with that height especially hill starts etc.these types of bikes are not my cup of tea anyway but for touring I get it. Thank you Kate.
Lovely bike
Thank you.
Thumbs up for the ride review of the F900 GSA , almost as large and heavy as the 1250 GSA, but less expensive ,21 " front wheel, may be harder to lift if dropped than the 1250, over all would be a very good touring adv motorcycle"
Hi Kate: Have you considered a trip over to Amsterdam to interview fellow vlogger Itchy Boots during her hiatus from traveling and filming? I love your style and I find her style very interesting as well. Best wishes.
Watched the whole video even though this isn't my kind of bike or BMW my kind of manufacturer. It is obvious nice to see other points of view.
Love the bike Kate, although a smaller cc version would suit me better, bit lighter weight etc
Gotta be honest, as a package I think it's bang on the money. Not sure I'm fussed about the big tank but overall (and I think I said this when you reviewed the standard F900GS) I am more lit up by this than the flagship R1300GS.
The packing list for next time. Platform boots. Open face helmet goggles. Proteins for the weight training. When I go to bike shops I just walk straight past these items so well done for making me watch. I’m not tall and would find roundabouts traffic lights junctions an experience.❤
Just bought one🎉
Brilliant thanks brummm brummm brummm.
Great review ...
Thanks so much!
Hi Kate, Thanks for reviewing the F900GSA, I keep thinking oh R1300GS but no, the 900 is comfortable enough, has the power also and save some £££👍👍
Doesn't have the suspension the engine or the low centre of gravity. Or the shaft drive.
Thanks!
Thanks so much Martin!
23 litre should be standard on any adventure bike, great review on awesome roads 👍👍😎
Depending what an adventure bike even is.
I'm riding a 1250adv at moment but looking in a few years time for a lighter bike so the F900GSA sound a good option .. great review Kate as always
It's not that much lighter. Wonder have heavy the R1300GSA will be
Material quality on fairing is 2nd Class
Top girl that’s a big bike
I love your reviews, can you add in how it handles with a pillion to these videos? My boyfriend like to ride behind me.
Hey Gabbie, we dont often get the chances to take pillions on these launches unfortunately :( Glad you like the reviews :)
Great vid. I wanna buy one now 🤦♂️😁
Sorryyyyy 🙈🙈🙈
@@UsernameKate You're forgiven 😂
Great bike, i can see myself going down to Tesco looking all butch and macho to do my shopping.😅
Those info graphics need to be on the screen long enough to read them.
Time is valuable so I cant, but you can pause it. And don't forget your local Starbucks!!!
Hey Kate can you check out the new Honda 500 NX some day? 😉😉
danke kate... 😊
Wow! This great. It was sick! ;)
More Lilly please.
Lillie's instagram is @dukeofblonde
Hi Kate what is that top your wearing ? quite like it me want something like this I’m on about the underneath wear like body warmer
Hey! It is a Knox Urbane Pro Mark 3 :) Perfect for hot weather!
👍👍
❤
Hey Kate morning how are you doing today looking forward to seeing this later on hope you are keeping well I've got my own place now nothing beats seeing you on 2 wheels and wearing your biker gear and your world famous swanky helmet and dark visor ride safe looking forward to seeing a ride out with the girls soon 😂
Thanks
Thanks Keef! 😊😊😊
It wont even buy you a Starbucks, and we know how you love a Starbucks, but you're very welcome - thanks for all the hours of fun, entertainment, singing, sayings, views, and even some bike reviews 😉👍🏽👍🏽
Hey, it all helps and I'm mega grateful! I'll keep the songs coming haha!
how we can get this bike
Yup my bladder needs emptying before my tank needs refilling too! 😂
Haha glad I'm not the only one!!
Why are all so bloody tall,
I’m 5.9 feet with a 29 inch leg,
I’ve lowered the seat on my Yamaha tracer 900 gt and still struggling.
The seat height is way too high for me, do they make a low version?
Yeah they do. You can opt for it while configuring
Wonderful but like my Crosstourer just too top heavy.
Top heavy and very heavy I believe the cross tour is 262kg
An F900RT with belt drive and more reasonable height might gran attention from the likes of the nt1100 and people who just want a decent tourer without the extravagance of the boxers
It’s a pity they discontinued the F800GT and didn’t make a 900 version.
@@JeroenvanKleefthose bikes just never got the attention they deserved
1300 GS looks like a little toy bike next to this. It is longer and heavier than the 1300 :)
The old f800gs was bigger than the R1200gs in the same way. Longer and taller
Prone to have broad shoulders and throw it’s weight around? Sounds like the psychological model of the typical BMW adventure (rider) indeed!
Chain drive? This is BMW’s Dylan plays electric moment
"Judas" - Nice analogy 👍🏽
I'm sure the F650 of the 90s was belt drive. I may be wrong, the current XR is chain driven.
XR has always been chain drive but a completely different series
@@garys4756it was only the CS and the ST that had belt drive. The GS and the R were chain driven. The belt was around £600
Looks nice, although as a former R65/R80ST/R80RT owner, the idea of a BMW with a chain drive is a burn-the-witch level heresy...
Nice bike, I like everything about it except the fact it's chain drive. Only interested in shafties now, although I rode plenty of chain-drives as a young man (and still do on the dirt). The tank size is brilliant, five and a bit gallons, should give you about 250 miles. The shoulders on the bike will give you extra weather protection. Screen looks effective too. I expected the bike to handle well - I don't think BMW makes a poor handler, it's one of the company's main strengths. And I've said it before, get yourself some platform boots, my daughter's got some (she's a Goth), you'll get an extra four inches' inseam. It's painful watching you trying to get your feet down. Don't apologise for not swallowing the spec sheet, I prefer just getting your riding impressions anyhow.
Boots with a 4" platform. That must be what the spice girls used to wear. Big risk of breaking an ankle
@@chrishart8548 Well my daughter's been wearing them for several years without incident. There's a big risk of dropping your bike at junctions and landing underneath it when your feet don't reach the ground!
That seat height is very very tall !
Crazy tall!!
😚
Proper touring beast, big item though, weighs over 1/4 ton and need step ladders to get on it, should imagine serious mile eater though 🙄😊
✌️😃👍
that bike is a golem, Kate is not! 😱
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
First 👍, and first here!
YASSS!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Thanks for always being hereeee
Sickk
All these introduction rides. Am I allowed to already look forward to the coming UNK winter season? 😁
Nooo!!! because I'M not looking forward to the cold again ahah!!!!
@@UsernameKate What has your comfort to do with it? Remember that guy in the corner of your eye with the sardonic smile and the horns on his head waving a contract? It happened when you decided to become a UA-cam celebrity. Really It did! 👹😁
If riding in the cold and rain is the price to pay, I guess it could have been much worse 🤣🤣
@@UsernameKate In spite of you sometimes being rather negative about your education and intelligence I have noticed that you are actually quite good at picking up cultural references. Here's an interesting one: In Dante's inferno the devil is encased in a frozen lake at the bottom of the pit of hell. But as long as it has heated grips you probably still won't mind! 🤣🤣
You crack me up !
3.8 gallon gas tank
you aint goin Paris- Dakar
I think you can get away with one "sick", but please less of that classic annoying UA-camrs trope of saying "guys" repeatedly through a video 😉👍🏽
Anyway, as always a fantastic vid, thank you 👍🏽👍🏽
Ok ☕🌹🏍️ Kate
wath about a u turn on the bmw , let see how you make a Un turn
Swear there's a u turn fetish on here 🤣🤣🤣
It’s literally the outgoing 850GSA with a different motor. Shares nothing with the new F900GS. Why would BMW create this confusion? :-)
I like the looks of the bike but oh no a parallel boring twin. I drove on this but compare to all motor configurations, a parallel twin in my opinion is the most boring one. It is the most cheap option to make but i hope the manufacturers return to the other configurations, because of the fun and feeling of triples, vtwins, four cylinders, and even one cylinders.
I think it's all parallel twins from here on. Even a big single is more expensive than a twin. A 400 is to small for a single. Must be at least a 500 or 600cc.
she said its girthy
bloody well is haha
Too heavy and only 105bhp, my Multi V2S weighs 225kg, similar torque and does 230 to the tank (enough for me), looks a hell of a lot better too…I prefer the F900GS. Love those roads though…
That V2 is lighter than a Suzuki 800de v strom and that's the 19" front wheel with cast wheels
Way too many electronics, I'll take one with just fuel injection control and cruise control for the times your running down the super slab. The standard model would be better for me. I do occational gravel road riding but 95% on pavement.
I’m intrigued who would buy this above a shaft drive gs,no weight saving, less horsepower,no telelever, not much price difference mmmh strange lot us bikers
R u serious?? First of all, they are not in same class, this is in class with Tiger 900, Ktm 890, Africa etc and kills them all with comfort and reliability. Second, only one in mid class has oem amortisation on steering, no other brands put it, and thats instead telelever for mid class more than premium and usable solution. 23l tank, esa, quickshifter and absolutely all other whistles and bells 1250 has for way less bucks... and if you say 105hp is not enough, you must be a pro racer then, get a S1000RR if that's priority but this bike has moooore than enough punch for overtaking or anything else fully loaded and with passenger...try it mate before comments, I rode F850GSA 5 years and bike is BRUTAL
I’m not sure about the “not much price difference”.
I think the closest other bmw to this would be a 1250 GSA.
Where I live a 900 GSA is $18k.
A 1250 GSA is $27k.
Thats a $9k difference. I could get another bike with the price difference.
Or am I missing something?
Seat height a problem in the real world !!
Only if your legs are not long enough
23 liter would exactly be the right capacity when doing 6+ hours trips!
How heavy can they male a middle weight adventure bike?? This thing is fat.
I don't think they can make it much heavier. I think it's just so the new model can claim a weight reduction.
Maybe I'll buy one in 3 years time for half the price fully kitted with 15k starbucks miles😇
perfect! haha
"Flying armchair"?? Dont even start, I ride a Goldwing so I Know what a flying/floating armchair really is.....
Don't even start? Sorry, did I accidently enter an 'armchair off'? 🤣🤣🤣
Has a 1250, has to keep herself from buying a 1300 and then complains about the 900 being a rolling armchair. What will she come up with next? 🤣
Oh no, not a complaint!!! A glorious observation ha!
It's so girthie, my pudding almost certainly self sauced
If it's not largely made in Germany then it's not a BMW in my book. Yes bla bla bla. Everything has international components. I get it. But if I buy a BM it's heart (motor) needs to be German too. Same for Guzzi or Ducati. If it's not mostly made in the country where the bike company is it's a fail. This stuff matters. At least to me.
Beautiful and good Job Keep it Up 💯❤👍🙏 New Subscribe
