- Okay, this is it -- I've mentioned these games on my channel before, sort of piecemeal, but these are my definitive thoughts on them, along with my justifications for WHY these are my top 5 games of the year. This is a wonderful list!!! So far I’ve played/beat eight 2022 games so I could definitely do a Top 5 and maybe in a month or so I can pull of a Top 10! I’m so hyped for Harvestella now! You got me hooked! Also yay to see AI love! I loved that game too!!! Xenoblade 3 is one I want to play next year. Huge priority! Great video as always!

I'll admit, I didn't expect it either. When I sat down to make my list... It just sort of came out that way!
That Harvestella looks like peak jrpg high fantasy with that beautiful aesthetic that I have only seen a jrpg company like squeenix do. I bought the game and played a little. The story is really interesting and digging the magical realm. I plan on playing through this. The farming and all the other activities seems overwhelming but with what I have read the story carries the game along. I mean I can actually get down with some farming, my worry is I will spend too much time with it and other activities lol. Really seems like a nice surprise with this game. I wanna try to get to Live a Live, Star Ocean, and Chained Echoes too this year. I will see how well that works out. I got FE coming out next month and of course I am playing Tears of the Kingdom and FF 16 next year. Sea of Stars is also out next year, plus I am sure over 10 other good rpgs that will blindside me.
XBC 3 is my favorite rpg so far of 2022 , and I got a soft spot for Monolith Soft. It is more of the same but still had some cool things with the themes and structure of settlements that made it different. Of course not much of an upgrade from the others with the never ending Switch, but that is ok. Hopefully a Switch 2 or something next year.
Yeah, XBC3 is SO good. I love all of Takahashi's games, and I'm so glad he's able to just go nuts and make them the way he wants to. I'm also really excited to get into Chained Echoes (and Star Ocean... And FE... And Sea of Stars... Okay, there's too many😅)

genuinely wonder how many trails fans have actually played the other "legend of heroes" titles outside of the trails series... gotta be less than 5%. at this point they should just do what atlus did with persona, when they took out the "shin megami tensei" part, and just remove the trails games from the "legends of heroes" canon
Yeah, I agree. I technically own two of the PSP titles but... I've never played them. Trails definitely seems like its own thing.
