Xmen the animated series tainted storylines from the comics in a really bad way. Xmen line ups that never existed during actually storyline from the comic that never happened. If you wanna talk about Storms progression, you should go back to the point where she fought Calisto for the leadership of the Morlocks , when she fought Cyclops for the leadership of the Xmen and here she fighting again for dominance thats the real progression .

Just like how we've accepted that the MCU is an "interpretation" not a reproduction of the comics, the animated shows have had their own continuities further separating them from the comics till it comes full circle and the animated storylines influence and even carry on in the comics. Is just made up stories about made up characters man, don't take it so seriously

@@RoomerJ That stuff was retconned in the "House Of X" story years ago. There's no such thing as "Beyond Omega Level" in cannon anymore. Storm as well as Iceman and Magneto have been confirmed Omegas.

Considering that there's no "beyond Omega" to begin with since Vulcan was the only one that Charles suggested that they needed to make a higher classification of Omega, something "beyond" that, for Vulcan. Never referred to him as that but clearly stated he's above Omega. Magneto has been a confirmed Omega for a very long time. Storm and iceman just got classified as such with the pretext of "potential world threats" since Hickman in all his wisdom decided that mutants who could one day develop their powers to be on the level of planetary destruction, are now classified as "Omega"..
@@RoomerJ Um... Magneto wasn't a confirmed OLM till the Hickman era... and it's funny that Vulcan would be the only one worthy of the "Beyond Omega Level" moniker when you had mutants like Franklin Richard's, Legion, Mad Jasper and Nate Grey at the time who were infinitely more powerful.
@@justthevoicebackup280 He's the only one who has been acknowledged in that capacity. Why are you bringing up Jim Jaspers? No one even knows he existed in the Marvel universe. Hell I don't even think Captain Brit had any memories of him after it was done. Also didn't they just take Franklin Richard's off the mutant list? And the God level Nate Grey wasn't even in the main time line. You're just dropping character names that are powerful not acknowledged as such in the main continuity.
X-Men Red is written by Al Ewing, not Tom Taylor. Both great writers, tho.
Storm stood up for mutants. She didn't act s dictator. She acted as Queen of the mutants. She protected one of her subjects.
This is why Magneto is one of my top 3 favorite characters The Silver Surfer & Thanos are 1 & 2 on that list. Magneto is a beast when he’s used correctly.
God I love magneto, he never seems to disappoint.

Vulcan isn't used nearly enough. The importance of the Summers seed is seldom spoken as well. It would be cool to find out Corsair was some ridiculously powerful cosmic entity that was somehow linked to the Pheonix & relinquished his powers to keep his kids off of everyone's radar.

Not weak due to their powers. Its due to their soft hearts. Mutants on earth lives in a peaceful way most of the time while Arraki have been fighting for thousands of years..
@@afro_princess1671 I never said weak because of their powers. The Arraki were made for war. Fighting against demons in a strange dimension and living by the dogma of survival of the fittest. Even Wolverine is considered weak because he feels remorse for all the killing he's done for over a century

Just to make sure you are aware.
Tarn never shut off Vulcans powers. He tried. Vulcan used his powers to absorb Tarn’s because Tarn’s abilities are energy based. Psychokinetic. Vulcan just decided to focus on absorbing tarns ability to negate it and use hand to hand combat instead because he thought he had outwitted Tarn. But Tarn is physically more capable at combat than Vulcan. Vulcan is a bull in a china shop with his powers, But he has little hand to hand combat skill like Storm and Tarn who had face tentacles to act as extra appendages to attack Vulcan with. That is how Tarn then took control of the fight and just physically beat Vulcan to death.

I’m not a huge comics fan, I get most of my content from robs explanations, I love the stories but don’t have the time to sift through them all, so my input is barely comprehensive to the comics but just what I remember from the 90s cartoon Storm has cemented herself as a women who fights for the people, she came from a humble background which she never forgot. It’s good to see someone give her credit, Her voice actor commanded so much authority I loved it!
Well technically her background is that of Royalty with a bloodline that goes back to the Gods but yeah she had a tuff up bringing after her parents died

I am glad you explained that that was moira's plan all along. I got into this debate with friend that was like no it's destiny's fault and the writers just wanted to lgbt virtue signal her getting with mystique. I kept telling him destiny is the only precog that was strong enough to detect moira and threatened her as an incentive to keep her on the mutant side. The problem is moira just went about her cure a different way.
Also it was a personal vendetta. Moira hated Destiny for burning her alive. Moria remembers everything including the pain and trauma.

Man it’s so hard to get into x men nowadays. So much stuff happens that are just so crazy to keep up with and in some cases aren’t very interesting. The fact the x men have tech to revive themselves over and over is a point there where it takes stakes out of the story. The last x men comic I actually liked was x men vs avengers and that was because I kept up with avengers until that point not x men.
X-men Red and Immortal X-men are beautiful, enrapturing, and the top of my pull list.

Great video, as always. BUT Tarn didn't "shut his power off", Vulcan syphoned it away. Abigail Brand taught him to "eat mutant power" so while Tarn was taking his power, Vulcan was syphoning his, that's how they both ended up powerless... but after Vulcan is defeated Tarn regains his power.
What's the point of correcting this? Make your own video if you want to do that.

Yo Ive been detached from X-Men far too long. I've seen bits and pieces of these runs about krakoa and what not but to really see a deep dive into it like this has showed me how much of a good storyline that I've missed. And the ARTWORK is OUTSTANDING! Reminds me of some of the artwork from the 90s. Some of the artwork from the 2000s really turned me off from X-Men all together. Also happy to see Storm really coming into her Goddess self.
Vulcan was done dirty here I am still waiting for him to display his true power and actually win a fight. I think Storm overpowering Vulcan is daft seeing he was stated previously as being above Omega level. And she is supposed to channel weather not energy. Also, why would Krakoa not resurrect Vulcan straight away since he is one of their biggest guns?
First of all there is no such thing as above Omega level mutant. Each Omega level mutant has different levels of power within that bracket but there is no "above Omega level" also what do u think manipulating the weather is? Isn't that within itself manipulating energy? She can control molecules on a molecular level it is just expressed through weather phenomena. That is what makes her an Omega level mutant.
@@tmd-w1552 first of all controlling the weather is not the same as manipulating energy, you rhink making it rain or snow or whatever is the same as absorbing and redirecting a solar flare? Nope. Secondly, Xavier, Marvel Girl or someone else actually stated in the comics in either Deadly Genesis or War of Kings that was above Omega level, meaning his capability should be beyond that of a regular one.
