I watched this an hour ago. I went downstairs and made it in my instant pot. It smells sooooo good! I tasted it, and yes, thank you for this. Now I can go to sleep and not worry about what is for dinner tomorrow...it's 3:20am here.

With beef stew meat (shoulder or chuck) you should've put more water in it because when the rice absorbs all the water it then turns on the beef and absorbs what little moisture it has because it's lean/lacking fat.

You might be amazed to hear the design of the stock cube packaging means you're to tear up the stock cube *inside the wrapper*. It crumbles beautifully and then you open the foil and sprinkle it it. This means you never end up with any lumps! Thanks for the recipe, I'll try it.

As a crockpot user, I love this!
I made a stew with ground beef, kind of like you did here, and it was kind of meh. This time I'm searing the meat before it goes in. We'll see in 4 hours how it turned out. I also added cabbage, carrot and onions that had sweated in the frying pan together with the seared meat. Instead of rice I used soaked green lentils. Three cups of dry pasta and enough water to cover everything.
Also, hispanic section? :D Knorr is a Swedish brand, and I use them myself all the time (I'm a Swede). Mostly the chicken cubes, they go with everything

A lot has changed since you commented. One minute the nurses were front line heroes and the next they were evil, "antivaxxers" who wanted to kill grandma. Hopefully your life wasn't upended by the criminals in government and Big Pharma. Best of luck because things are going to get steadily worse. Digital ID, central bank digital currency, digital vaccine passports, social credit scores, inflation, collapse of dollar, 15 minute SMART cities (Oxford), etc. The powers that be want complete control over our lives.

I've been looking for a recipe like this for a while. Thanks. I have two questions. Wouldn't two cups of rice give you a major ton of rice? Do you think that if I cut it to one cup of rice, it would work better with the pound of ground beef? How much water? Finally, do you have a recipe for this using the Instant Pot?

    • @TosTinManEasyCooking
