many thanks for the wholele series! just wanted to point out: let us not overfocuse on the problem of ideas as universals -- as they had been interpreted in the later scholastic thought. i believe there is little evidence that plato would acknowledge the exsistence of smth like an idea of horseness (maybe some texts might seem to imply that). instead of conceiving of ideas as forms of things, we can think of them as of an underlying structure of reality. the "aristotelian" critique is rather a strawman, sophisticated and one to be sure and having a vast impact on the whole history of western philosophy.
