Love the Cantu activators 🥰🥰 the original is my holy grail. The only thing about them is the amount of glycerin in there, usually the second ingredient. The summer and the humidity will make my hair frizzy, so I usually wait til fall/ winter to use them…. I picked up the Guava &Ginger line I love this line, they have what they call a hair lotion from that line…. That I really like, it smells soooo good. But again Curls meet glycerin 😅so I’m waiting for cooler months….. thanks for sharing, so nice to see an influencer not cancel Cantu, they have a lot of good products that my curls do well with….
I haven't tried any of the Guava & Ginger products. Maybe I'll have to give the lotion a try. Thanks for the suggestion! And thanks for the feedback about the humidity. The area I live doesn't get very humid, so I'm not the best source for that. It makes it really nice to hear others experiences so we can pass on the suggestions to others.
Omg I should've seen this video before I purchased this particular gel! I have a low po wavy curly hair where my top/outer layer is wavier than my bottom/inner layer, similar to your hair, but on a little thicker/coarser side. I got so much freeze and my wavier area had a low to zero definition from day 1. I've tried a couple times using different techniques and brushes, but still hasn't allowed me a single good hair day. Maybe it's because of its protein. I don't know but yeah, my hair unfortunately doesn't like it😢
Oh bummer! That's a shame. Have you tried pairing it with something more moisturizing? I'm just curious so I know what to recommend to others. Thank you for your feedback!
I have never tried any of the Cantu products. I was in Walmart today though and was looking at them. I saw they have a leave in & a curl cream. Have you noticed a difference between the two? I tend to get away with using only a leave in. I may give in though and try their cream. Tfs! Beautiful results! Blessings!
I do like Cantu products, that being said, any of the curl creams are a little heavy. It's why I like the curl activators. They're kind of somewhere between the leave-in and the creams. That being said, I've never tried the cantu leave in conditioner, so I can't really say much on that other than it's probably lighter than the other two. If you need the moisture, I'd suggest going with the leave-in, but if you're main goal is definition and frizz control, I'd actually recommend going in with the curl activator instead. ☺ hope that helps.
